Yes, as time goes by, Brock's chances are dwindling (is that word? lol). :P

You have, because of you're ridiculous statements and things you have made up in this discussion. You frequently made out that I said things or believed in something when it wasn't the case and it is incredibly annoying. Also how you ignore my post everytime I give you a reasonable answer that puts you in your place.I don't even understand what's gotten your undies in a knot. Lots of people just do not care for Brock or whether he gets a cameo.
And again here's another reason why: I never said people don't care for Brock, I said that people do care for Brock in response to whether enough people want him to return. I never said he was popular, never said people don't want him to appear again, never said he has a huge fanbase etc. I simply said that there are people who do want him to return.
Unless you can make a response that isn't ridiculous, i'm done talking to you, bye.

I'll just reitirate this again, Haunter227: The fanbase does not care for Brock much, therefore, the writers aren't fussing over when to give him a cameo.
To be frank, I never expected Brock to appear during BW. He left to pursue his own goals and there wasn't really a reason for him to come back. Unlike the female characters, he was never that popular so the writers probably never even considered having him return during this saga. I'm not upset about it because it was predictable from the start.
Ahem* make that another Brock fan right here. Anyways, the trick to getting opinions of Pokemon is to look in places that are non-specific to a particular subject. Here on the forums, trends tend to form around the majority of active members. General sites for the average, random people such as Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, etc are, with proper research, much better for getting a vibe of whats hot and whats not. Even Pokemon forums that are generally not-specific to various sections are good places to start. No method is perfect however. Regardless, arguing about it here is only hindering what should be civil and entertaining Brock discussion. His chances of an appearance for any period of time are determined by the writers/producers based on both demand for him, and their own plans.

I am the current leader of Save Our Voice Actors, a Pokemon fan group supporting the voice actors in the anime dubbed by 4Kids (seasons 1-8). I can't said that Brock won't get a guest appareance until the very end because the fact that Brock is in Kanto. The place where Ash go between regions.
Hmm, I was honestly thinking this too... Living in my own delusional world, I was hoping he along with Misty and May would all appear in BW at some point, but that's not going to happen. His only chance is the final episode of BW when Ash returns there, like what Gary did in AG....
I do wonder though, every series we get an opening with a shot of all of Ash's past travelling friends. We haven't yet for BW. I mean, if there is a new opening starting with the N stuff then maybe, but that doesn't fit. Oh well :/
Openings are misleading.
Well, seeing him in Dawn's flashbacks wasn t enough. I wish there was there a new opening with the old characters.
yep, very unfortunate tho. Dawn gets like 10 eppys along with that penguin but the legend can barely get one!!
BUCKLE UP FOR BEST WISHES TWO! (AND THE LEAGUE IS HERE!!! )
If you think that the Sinnoh saga was the worst saga yet, copy & paste this to your sig. (Started by Yankees4life)
Due to how Brock wanted devote his time to studying to become a doctor, it meant he wasn't going to go traveling. They gave Brock a reason to stay behind this time, pretty sure they planned to not give him an in-person cameo. Be happy with what you got.
-XY, already better than Best Wishes.xD

Considering how poorly they handled Dawn's cameo do we even want him back to suffer through that? Brock's a character that's very easily overshadowed by another. It wouldn't do much for that to happen to him. It happened to Dawn and she was one of the most predominate friends ever.
I thought the way they handled Brock in Best Wishes 2 was enough. As long as they continue acknowledging he existed I can live with him not appearing in the flesh.
He can still get episodes if they focus on Castelia City and their medical schools. He could appear in a town and travel with them until then. Participate in a tourney for fun maybe. I doubt all 30 or so episodes will focus on Team Plasma.

Theoretically there is still chance for Brock to make cameo appearance since new generation at least wont begin until end of 2013. Not to mention his flashbacks in Dawn cameo could serve as foreplay announcing his return in person eventually.
I would like to see some update on his character, pokemon and how is doctor career progressing and i believe his similarities with Cilan create foundations for some worthy, interesting interactions. Meeting between two older make sidekicks who are like older brother to group and cook contest to determine who is better chef could besar some fruits on table imo.
It would be interesting to see him doing field work and research on pokemon outside of center along with learning about new ways of curing from first hand by meeting other specialists not only relying on books making sense serving as way to enrich his knowledge which could help him when passing test and examiners in future trying to become doctor.
And seeing him battle for old time sake would be appreciated too. With such impressive pokemon arsenal like Steelix, Croagunk, Foretress, Marshtamp, Crobat, Sudowoodo its real shame we never saw him battle much.
Even if we get sick of certain character that doesn't mean he couldn't restore in future appeal he used to have making us appreciate him again. Or create different spin to him/her adding new interesting dimension to it.
Instead of stopping to care altogether turning blind eye to problem, avoiding to directly face with it.
Personally yes i miss Brock, and many other people out there miss him too having fond memories of character wanting to see him again. Granted there are other characters which i would rather have return who haven't been seen for years like Misty, but i still appreciate Brock contribution to anime and all positive things he did deserving some recognition. No one deserves to end up abandoned and erased from face of existence.
Needless to say just because you see sizable portion claiming Brock got "stale" doesn't mean something is true.
For instance "many like junk food, but that doesn't make it fine cuisine".
Being followed with some notable growth in chronicles and AG cameos earning sisters respect, taming Gsarados, releasing Togetic etc.
Value of character shouldn't be determined by how much focus he gets, but by how much he contributes to anime appeal and Misty definitely managed to add tension and vibrant dynamic in cast, helped Ash grow as trainer, often contributed to resolution of plots in episodes and got some intriguing growth herself too.
Granted writers made slip with her in mid Johto being often on sidelines, but way i see it with Master Quest and onwards character was successfully brought back on right track managing to keep appeal.
Same applies to Brock until DP where he got shafted too much for my taste i thought he was handled pretty good especially in AG saga. I enjoyed in his interactions with AG cast still having his moments, addition of Max helped his character by having someone to who he could relate to and his breeding career got some notable focus too often helping to resolve alarming situations regarding wild or endured pokemon, took care of suck characters like nurse Joy etc.
Likewise he was more active than i can say for Johto too having some notable moments like battling May in contest, battling TR with Ash in tag match to save Pewter gym, learn about new ways to prepare food and keep pokemon in top shape(like pokeblocks etc).
Any proof to back this up? Because i can assure you how internet is full of people who like Misty character with demands for return for cameo or even return to cast still being respectively big. Even after such long time being equally popular to other girls (arguably even more).I just don't care much for them and neither do a lot of fans.

Brock's finished! He decided to become a pokemon doctor and left the series! His chances of coming back are absolutely zero. But i'll never forget his long appearance in the anime. Nobody who replaces him would be better than him! Not Cilan, not anyone!
Not to mention doctors sometimes travel too to go on conventions, research about new pokemon and new ways of healing so its not like we couldn't see him catch up with Ash at some point. A least for appearance that is.
Even when the show first started it always seemed like Misty was slightly more popular than Brock. And the main story of AG and DP focused on May and Dawn.
