Ash has a Charmander is episode 65?

In episode 65 Ash sends out his Charmander to fight Jinx. Shouldn't he have a Charizard at the time?

That episode, and the one after it, were originally intended to air after the Porygon episode. However, after that episode aired, there was the whole incident and the show was put on hiatus for about 4 months. When it returned, it wasn't the right time of year to air them so they were delayed until it was time

But shouldn't they be called episodes 39 and 40 instead? Even though they were delayed?

That was stupid i must say. Who cares if its not the right time? They should atleast edited and made Charmander a Charizard.....

Or they should never have bothered about what time of year it was and soon people would have realised why.

Yeah They deladed it because of Porygon.
And Serebii is right they wouldn't waste the money.
They did sometimes to make a Jap sign say like SHOP and stuff like that

Also - thanks for clearing that up, Serebii. I was also starting to wonder why that Charizard had been a Charmander on that episode.

Still, I find that since that episode was in some ways a filler, it wouldnt've mattered if Charmander was a Charizard anyways-except for the fact it wouldn't be able to squeeze into the ice cave. :P

Well... but that Chronology doesn't explain why Misty already has her Psyduck..

Misty got Psyduck in episode 25, well before the Porygon ep aired. I think Psyduck didn't even appear though...?
