Default The return of the guy who cannot make an OU team work

Hey Guys, Ttar here with yet another OU team because I still haven't got the hang of this OU metagame. I have spent ages making teams, testing them, then scrapping them instantly. This one however, stuck around. It has a great offensive prowess, however, it is terrible defensively, and this is the problem that I would like help patching up.

I normally include a teambuilding section, but it's kind of irrelevant because it was thrown together in a few minutes, and half built to cover weaknesses. Sorry to those who like to think there is a crazy explanation, but there isn't

    Celebi @ Leftovers
    Trait: Natural Cure
    EVs: 252 HP / 232 SDef / 24 Spd
    Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
    - Giga Drain
    - Hidden Power [Fire]
    - Recover
    - U-turn

Celebi has been swapped with gliscor for a new build to counter many mons in the meta, namely 4x fire weak steels with HP fire and bulky waters with Giga drain. U turn to form a turning core with nape, activate natural cure if needed and gain momentum.

    Kingdra (M) @ White Herb
    Trait: Swift Swim
    EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
    Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
    - Draco Meteor
    - Dragon Pulse
    - Surf
    - Rain Dance

This is my general answer for rain teams. Tried to make this offensive as possible, and it does a good job late game. Dragon pulse and surf for STAB coverage, Draco meteor to generally wreck house. Rain dance to outspeed practically everything.

    Jirachi @ Choice Scarf
    Trait: Serene Grace
    EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spd
    Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
    - Ice Punch
    - Iron Head
    - Fire Punch
    - U-turn

Standard scarf rachi mainly used for anti dragon, but also to put the pressure on the enemy with another U turner. Punches to cover as much as possible, and iron head for flinch spamming everywhere

    Sharpedo (F) @ Life Orb
    Trait: Speed Boost
    EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
    Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
    - Ice Beam
    - Surf
    - Dark Pulse
    - Protect

The star of the show, my first level 100, and a general champion. Special set is amazing, throws the enemy off and it still has a nice 317 special atk with modest. Dual stab coverage with ice beam for the dragons and gliscor and protect to get at least one speed boost. Excellent as a late game cleaner.

    Salamence (F) @ Choice Scarf
    Trait: Moxie
    EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
    Naive Nature (+Spd, -SDef)
    - Outrage
    - Earthquake
    - Flamethrower
    - Aqua Tail

Scarfmence with flamethrower to deal with f**king genesect as it hasnt been banned from PO yet. Also deals with 4x steels like scizor. EQ and Aqua Tail are filler, I mainly just outrage all the things. Evs and nature are standard.

    Infernape (M) @ Expert Belt
    Trait: Blaze
    EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SAtk / 252 Spd
    Naive Nature (+Spd, -SDef)
    - Overheat
    - Close Combat
    - Stone Edge
    - U-turn

Finally, one of the best pokemon ive ever used in OU. This set brings me great delight as a bluff scarf set due to Napes above average speed. This thing has great coverage, and is a delight to use. Nature and Evs to ensure overheat isnt too weak, as it gets the surprise KO often.

So that's it guys and girls. I'd like to here any criticisms (there must be a lot lol) and any changes you'd like to recommend, as long as it doesn't make me too weak to one type Thanks in advance for recommendations.

despite having kingdra, the team is very rain weak, with keldeo being able to OHKO everyone besides skarmory and kingdra who are 2hkos and most rain teams have ferrothorn, which seems to wall everything besides salamence who i dont think KOes it in the rain glisscor isnt the greatest anymore nor is skarmory, i would switch them for celebi and jirachi as celebi helps with keldeo, thunderus, landorus, etc. while scarfed jirachi can KO alot of +1 stuff. Also i would make sharpedo physical

i would say standard scarfed rachi, and sp defensive celebi
    jirach@choice scarf
    252attack/4def/252 speed
    jolly
    -ice punch
    -iron head
    -fire punch
    -trick/u turn/stealth rocks

    celebi@leftovers
    calm
    252hp/232sp def/24 speed
    -giga drain
    -baton pass
    -recover
    -HP ice/fire

baton pass lets you evade pursuit

Default My iPod is acting weird, so I can't edit but lingers=kingdra

I honestly think rain dance is a bit useless on lingers. If anything, give it agility. Also, white herb seems kind of not helpful compared to the other items you can use, like the life orb.
Oh, and mcdanger, psychic would be better than Bp as giga drain handles Ttar, who is the only real pursuit threat out there (I think, Chang think of any others off of the top of my head)
EDIT: Nvm, did the calcs. Unless we're talking a non-sweeping, pure defensive Ttar, the best you can hope for is to survive three turns and hit hard with Giga Drain from Celebi. Still, Baton Pass seems a bit weird to me.

Giga Drain does an abysmal amount of damage to TTar with it's gigantic special bulk, dealing around 20% or less. There's U-Turn if you want. Scizor is another Pursuit threat and a lesser extent Metagross although not used much anymore.

I think DD Kingdra would be better IMO, probably the ChestoRest set as DrizzleToed is too common so RD would just be a random filler in those occasions. Kingdra with 1-2 boosts can OHKO basically every member on a rain team bar Ferrothorn if you opt for ChestoRest in rain as well as doing decent damage outside of it with great STAB attacks.

Nope. It's much better then agility. It doubles speed like agility, but also give it's water STAB an extra 50% power boost. This turns surf to a bit less then 225, and Hydro Pump would reach a whopping 270 base power attack.

Though, isn't having both specially based Kingdra and Sharpedo on the same team kind of redundant?

    So many responses :3
K so with celebi, I have gone with u turn. It goes with nape as a u turn combo. I quite possibly will make kingdra physical w/life orb. Gonna make some changes and will update soon

Fire Blast > Flamethrower. It'll need that extra punch to power past Skarmory, etc. and in Rain it'll need that punch.

Might consider that, I just hate accuracy moves like that. Always get **** on by low acc moves

Falcon Bump! Still looking for rates, really loving this team. Sitting on a good win loss ratio but scarf terrak is a problem, as is my lack of priority. Suggestions on that?
