    Default Darmanitan, Arcanine, or Emboar?

Ive planned a good team, and I am in need of a fire type. Hard decision here.

    Arcanine
    Good:
Most balanced stats of the three and highest base stat total
    Extremespeed is a given plus
Learns outrage as Drayden keeps owning me
    Can easily cover his weaknesses
    Can be found early
    Bad:
    Not a very wide movepool
Grows more slowly(guess thats why theres Audinos)
Has the lowest offensive stats of the three
Good moves come between lv 30-50 as Growlithe

    Darmanitan:
    Good:
    Better movepool
    Base 140 attack
    Zen Mode may help
    Can be found relatively early
Hammer Arm, Stone Edge, EQ whats more to say
    Bad:
    Bad stat distribution
    Frail
Darumaka may get ko'd if move misses with hustle
    Evolves late

    Emboar:
    Good:
    My fav starter
almost the same movepool as Darmanitan
    covers weaknesses
base attack and special is 123 and 100 respectively
    Bad:
all good moves are at level 45+ and Tm/tutor moves
    Extra fighting type adds weaknesses
better defenses than Darmanitan but horrible still
    Slowest of the three

    Which is the best?

Probably Darmanitan to even out the Phys / Spec ratio.

For the set, use Flare Blitz / Fire Punch / Earthquake / Superpower

thanks but shouldn't I give it Rock Slide/Stone Edge over Fire Punch. Maybe swords dance?

    Lucario
    Naive Nature
    ~ Work Up
    ~ Aura Sphere
    ~ Dark Pulse
    ~ Ice Punch

Work Up to boost both offences. Aura Sphere for STAB. Dark Pulse gets near-perfect neutral coverage alongside Aura Sphere, and Ice Punch to hit Ground-types.

If you decide to use Darmanitan, use Aura Sensai's set except go with Rock Slide > Superpower. Ground and Fighting share almost identical coverage, whereas Ground + Rock get brilliant coverage and Rock Slide also gets a Sheer Force boost. Fire Punch and Flare Blitz are both used as i) Swords Dance is unnecessary given Darmanitan's colossal Attack stat and ii) Fire Punch is a nice alternative to Flare Blitz for those times you don't want to take heavy recoil damage.

    Darmanitan
    Adamant/Jolly
    Moves:
    Flare Blitz
    U-Turn
    Superpower
    Rock Slide

Flare Blitz hits like a super truck after the Sheer Force and STAB boost. U-Turn allows him to escape while dealing damage. Superpower for Rock+Fighting coverage alongside Rock Slide.

Please update your team into the 1st post, you'll get more rates that way, and I won't accidentally close it because it looks like you only have 3 PKMN.

Out of Arcanine, Darmanitan and Emboar I prefer Arcanine. Mostly Arcanine as Outage's power base was raisen from 90 to 120 in Generation V, which is catatstrophic in matters of balance of the game. Some movesets for Arcanine:

    Physical-sweeper Arcanine:

    -Flare Blitz
    -Crunch
    -Extremespeed
    -Wild Charge/Outrage

Items: Choice Band, Fire/Dark/Normal/Electric/Dragon Gem, Liechi Berry (raise's Attack if HP is under 1/3 total max)

Take care while using the Gems or Berries as they are one-use items, so you should prefer to use them in Wireless/Wi-Fi, Frontier Battles or in PWT.

There isn't much strategy on this Arcanine. EV train it on Attack, Speed and the rest on HP. You could replace any of the moves with Outrage if you think you need it.

    Special-sweeper Arcanine:

    -Flamethrower/Heat Wave
    -Solarbeam
    -Sunny Day
    -Dragon Pulse/Outrage

Items: Charcoal, Miracle Seed, Fire/Grass/Dragon Gem, Petaya Berry

Solar-Fire strategy. The fourth move is the one you'll less use. The only ocasion the less move will be useful is against a dragon/flying or water/flying Pokemon, so Dragon Pulse is a nice option. Collect EV's on Special Attack, Speed and the rest on HP.

    Mixed-sweeper Arcanine:

    -Flamethrower/Heat Wave
    -Outrage
    -Extremespeed
    -Reversal/Hyper Beam

    Items: Lum Berry

This is likely the best moveset I can suggest. If your Arcanine is at red HP bar and it is faster then foe, you should use Reversal or Hyper Beam. But, if your Arcanine is slower than foe, then you should use Extremespeed.

A Mixed RK9 should use Flamethrower l ExtremeSpeed l Dragon Pulse l Wild Charge, for pretty well maximum coverage. Hp [Grass] can be used on the Special set if you breed.

+1. However, I'd personally use Fire Blast/Flare Blitz | Extremespeed | Wild Charge | HP Ice.

Hp [Ice] works too. It's preference, really.

Yep, to each his own. HP Grass is kind of redundant in-game IMO as there aren't many Swampert and Gastrodon, but it can help against Rock and Ground types.
