ClicheStorm 2: Mixing cliches is a dangerous pastime. Chapter 16: It could've ended up worse, like that one place.
Human
Name: Marie Aeternam
Age: 17
Rank: Mage
Goal: Her main goal is to spread her religious cult’s message, and as well as become the apprentice of Pheobe.
Description: Marie is a full-grown, proper woman that has the body to go with it. She stands at around 5 ft 9”, making her pretty tall for a female. She has pale, on the border line of ashen, skin that is cleared of everything but religious tattoos. Her breast size is a C cup, the average of certain groups of woman, and she’s not afraid of men seeing part of them. She has long, flowing hair that goes down to her waist-line. The tips of her hair are large, wavy curls, and her entire hair seems to be one smooth, flowing wave. It also covers a large portion of the right-side of her face, only leaving the lower-cheek and her lips exposed on that side. The color of this hair is that of a dark violet, making her stand out to those who are far away. Under her hair, on her right eye, is the mark of the scion of her cult. It serves as part of the eye itself, and it is a proof of her heritage. The mark of the eye itself is that of a cross, but instead of forming a regular “t” shape, it has the markings of Giratina’s Wings instead.
For her clothing, she looks like a sort of gothic priestess. She wears a circlet that signifies the head of the cult, a silver circlet made to look like two of Giratina’s wings, and it is topped of by two hemlock flowers. The wings themselves are made from tarnished silver, and the red part of the claws is made out of rubies. On her neck, she wears a necklace made out of tarnished gold, attached to the end is the symbol of her cult, making it to the point of overkill by now signifying her importance in it. For her clothing, she wears an inner corset that shows of the upper-region of her chest, and the corset is an almost-see through lace one with skulls embroidered into the pattern. Covering her body, but showing part of her corset, is a long, flowing robe filled with ancient runes and the roman numerals XIII in gold print on the back. The robe itself is of a long purple and ebony mixing together in multiple different layers. Though, the robe is made out of material to withstand the elements and the heat, making it very comfortable and easy to wear. It goes down roughly to the side of her knees, and has a parting pattering on the bottom, starting at her belly-button. For her undergarments, she wears black, short-shorts to show her rebellious streak. They are ripped up on the bottom, and have two crosses intersecting on them, the crosses of course the insignia of her cult.
She wears a book belt, yes a book belt, around her waist. The belt is positioned in a diagonal battern so it balances on her upper left hip, and her lower right hip. The area to store her book is on her right hip, and is made out of miltank leather bound be ariados silk. Her belt is designed after the wings of the myraid butterfly Pokemon, and gives an optical illusion of them. The book itself is her spellbook, passed down many generations in her family, the Butterfly Whisper. This tome is of black velvet binding and covering, giving it the look of a dark night. It has blood spilled on it, showing the dangers of the book, and in the middle is a golden butterfly being trapped in Giratina’s Wings, showing her family’s history in the cult, and showing the significance of the butterfly to her family. Her voice, on an unrelated note, is a medium-low voice with thoughtfulness and distance often laced on it’s cryptic vocabulary, though it can be as sweet and soothing as honey, but beware that sweets cause cavities.
Personality: Marie is a very calm, distant person who is often lost in thought. She rarely answers people when they talk to her, as she is to busy in her own devices to take notice of them, and if she does respond it’s often in one word answers, or cryptic riddles that she wouldn’t care to decipher for them. Due to this, people often have a sense of loyalty, and fear, to her, for she has a dominating presence from her curt, short messages and silence.
For those who are higher than her, she is a very obedient person who tries to follow everything with perfection and with out fail, and sometimes no matter the cost. For these people who win her loyalty, they are in good hands, as she would seriously die for them. Though, she does know how to trick people, and deceit and illusion is her best advantage. If she detects lies and betrayal, she would be quick to execute you, and not always with death. This has given her a very efficient way of getting thins done, and has earned her the nickname “Night Butterfly.”
She is a very active advocate for her religious cult, and is the only time where she speaks loudly and a lot. She has a very deep passion in the dark dealings and rituals in her cult, and prays more often then anyone in it. She is known to hold festivals and ceremonies and rituals often, as if everything in worshipping her one, true god, Giratina, is etched very carefully into her head. She is also very quick in teaching people, both in the arts of worshipping her god, and other things as well. She is an analytic, as to say, but doesn’t use her skill often, as she prefers to think about thing instead of forming biases on them.
She is also obsessed with death and necromancy, something that doesn’t seem tru to her when you first meet her. She isn’t exactly a sadist, well, she is a sadist, but she isn’t a masochist or death seeker. She is more intrigued by death, and the many meanings it has. This is why people normally know her with the Tarot Card Death to her, as she often thinks as its meaning is. Due to this, she is very adept to change, unless it affects her on a personal level, where it is hard for her to let go of.
History: Marie was born in the Old Château in Eterna Forest, Sinnoh. There is where her bloodline has lived for generations, and the ghosts who have started to slowly live there have been helpin in keeping them hidden from the outside world. When ther mark on her eye was discovered, such as the last scion, her mother, was found, she was instantly nammed the next head in the family. Due to this, she spent a very secluded life learning to be the Pretress de la Mort, or the Priestess of death, and learn how to be the proper leader of the cult.
Due to this, she had lead her life as a very secluded child who was often in thought, and often thought about many things when she wasn’t worshipping her god. Nothing important really happened to Marie in her early days, as everything was a washboard rinse and repeat. She did slowly start to learn about magic as she got older, and she started to think about death and it’s many corridors.
When she was of age, her mother, her teacher and the current leader of the cult, performed the gardian ceremony for her, and she wasn’t surprised when her guardian was a Litwick, the reaper line and close servants of Giratina. Her mother wasn’t blessed in getting a Litwick, instead she gotten a Duskull, the next highest servant to their lord. When her mother saw that Marie had a Litwick, she started training Marie for special missions and orders, to carry out for the lord. Her guardian, now named Lumiere, and her quickly bonded, and have formed a sort of master and servant relationship, but to them it isn’t like that.
She spent the next seven years training to become who she was, and she has learned about many things about her cult, and tarot, though magic was rarely touched on, but Marie was able to learn some adcanced spells during the seven year period, when time allowed it. She also wasn’t taught how to battle, and was given a quick rundown before she was sent to Hoenn. Marie was sent to Hoenn for one reason, become Pheobe’s apprentice. The strong mage, witch in some circles, who had excellent connections with ghosts, and a very close friend to her Mother. Now Marie is in Littleroot town, given permission to supervise the guardian ceremony that was about to take place, and spread the word about her lord.
Spells Known: Marie knows a total of 8 Spells, 4 from Lumiere, Detect Magic, Mail, and two learned from her mother. Each Spell is performed differently then normal, due to her tome’s power
Reaper’s Art “What’s yours is mine” (Pain Split): Marie summons two scythes, and they go towards her and her opponent. Depending on the conditions, these scythes can hurt or heal, and their main purpose is to heal
Reaper’s Art “Messanger”: This is the mail spell, but is sent with a Duskull so that it has a higher chance of making it to its rightful receiver
Reaper’s Art “Arcana Draw”: This is Arcane Shift. Marie spent many years learning about Tarot, so she has pretty good knowledge on all of them. This functions similar to Arcane power, but different at the same time. While the two spells have many similarities, they do have a distinction, the Minor Arcana. Arcana Draw is a more powerful version of the two Decks it applies to, Types and Major Arcana, but it takes out the largest Deck, Minor, leaving it weaker in terms of variety.
Reaper’s Art “Hex Detecter”: This is Detect Magic, though a little advanced, as it can also show the user who last cast the magic, if it has been casted recently
Reaper’s Art “Lunar Eclipse” (Night Shade): The Moon makes a sudden appearance, and it’s shadow is cast on the opponent, creating damage. It does damage equal to Lumiere’s level.
Reaper’s Art “Guiding Light”(Will-o-Wisp): This is Marie’s most versatile spell, as it allows her to cause burns, create shields, and make lighting when needed.
Reaper’s Art “Candle Explosion” (Flame Burst): Marie summons a candle, and can place in anywhere,or even throw it. When she snaps her fingers, it snaps into her flames
Reaper’s Art “Soul Inferno” (Inferno): Marie was quickly taught this spell by her Mother, so it leaves her greatly out of energy, and she has a very low chance in actually hitting someone with it. Though, when it does hit, it burns up the opponent’s soul, and has them engulfed in the towering inferno. It will leave the opponent burned, and at times, Marie herself.
Guardian
Name: Lumiere
Species: Litwick
Ability: Flame Body
Personality: Lumiere is very much like Marie, often in thought and thinking. He is very passionate about worshipping his master, Giratina, and often praises him along with Marie. He also will do any order Marie tells him to do, and on an unrelated note, anything Marie’s mother, or her Dusknoir, commands him to do. He is good at teaching things, but not as much as Marie.
Though, he also has Marie’s hidden insanity. At times her can go completely insane, and all he cares about is death, and not it’s multiple meanings, actual death. When he gets like this, only Marie is able to snap him out of it, but she also risks awakening her insanity that is locked up inside of her.
Moves: (Is it Okay if I have him at 20?)
Pain Split (Was tutored this by Marie’s Mother’s Dusknoir Guardian)
Night Shade
Will-o-Wisp
Flame Burst
Pokemon
Name: Noir
Species: Duskull
Origin: Marie’s Duskull was actually a starting gift to her from Pheobe. The egg was sent to her when she got off the boat in littleroot town, and quickly hatched afterwards. He often is in Marie’s arms
Ability: Levitate
Personality: Noir is a very mischievous Duskull, often liking to play pranks and other harmless tricks on people. Though, he still is a baby and is completely dependant on Marie and Lumiere to take care of him.
Moves:
Night Shade
Leer
Name: Lis
Species: Lilligant
Origin: Lis is Marie’s personal maid, and has been tending to Marie her entire life. She was granted permission to follow Marie to Hoenn, to make sure she was well taken care of
Ability: Own Tempo
Personality: Lis is a very caring, thoughful pokemon. She often makes Marie tea from natural sources, and likes to take a book and read, well, pokemon books, when she has the time. Though when she has to, she is able defend Marie, herself, and anyone else with her life.
Moves:
Growth
Synthesis
Mega Drain
Teeter Dance

Can I reserve a spot?
Banner Credit to Flame Mistress
@Jason-Kun: Sure thing.
At this point, I'm not accepting any more reserves unless someone decides to drop out. This should be a manageable number.
@Lost Requiem: Goth princess leader of a cult, huh? This fits right in, actually, lol. Shadow tag is a bit much, so go with Flame Body. Given that marie's in training to take over a sect like that, 8 spells looks acceptable. However, I'd like a bit more explanation about Arcana Draw/Shift spell, about what it does. There is the Arcane Power spell currently on the list, but that's a Metronome-type spell connected to the Tarot. It's pending that explanation.
Also, 20 sounds like a reasonable level for Lumiere, given the history.

Are they still places left? If so, reserve me one please! Also can items other then wands or staffs be used to channel magic, such as a jewel or pendant?
Edit: I didn't see your last post, guess I'm out of luck..

Say, by no more reserves, do you mean that I can no longer reserve a spot and post a profile later, or that there are absolutely no slots left even if I just randomly post up a profile?
Because this RP sounds rather interesting.

A quick question: Could you elaborate on how the Ceremony works? Would it be possible for somebody to "accidentally" trigger it?
Accidentally triggering the summoning of a guardian is possible, but in the same way getting struck by lightning is possible. The ceremony involves creating an environment suitable for spirits to appear, done before the novices arrive. when the novices are there, the one conducting the ceremony will pray to gods (in Hoenn's case, Jirachi) to draw the guardian's spirit from the novice and give it form. Then the novice and guardian swear an oath to work together and protect each other (which can vary from individual to individual). The oath and naming the guardian needs to happen before the environment enchantments weaken and turn the guardians back to spirits.
If it were to happen accidentally, there's only two places in Hoenn where it's possible due to environment: Mount Pyre and the Cave of Origins. It might also be possible if one were to meet Rayquaza on top of Sky Tower, but that's inaccessible at the moment. The Cave of Origins is protected too.
@Titan500: well I decided to put a cap so that I didn't have too many players to keep track of. But I think I'll go ahead and put you and the guy/gal who asked before on the reserve list. Better get your form in soon; I'd like to start shortly.

*Here's the profile then.
Name: Arthur Mason
Age: 15
Rank: Novice Mage
Goal: His goal is to find his mother again.
Description: Standing at a metre seventy, the average height for most people of his age, Arthur looks surprisingly average, something that contrasts greatly with his character. Well-built and somewhat muscular, he appears to be another simple sports-loving teenager, a preconception furthered by his short brown hair. His skin is rather pale, despite the time he spends outside, and his light blue eyes exude an aura of good cheer. On his chin he has some stubble, which is shaved away every second day.
The teenager’s outfit varies from day to day, but his most basic costume involves a collared t-shirt, dark-coloured trousers and white runners. His shirt is usually some variation of blue or red, but at times he does wear a grey one instead. In warmer weather, he usually discards his trousers for shorts, while during colder temperatures he dons his red scarf, along with a light blue coat. On his right index finger he wears a simple silver ring, which he claims can channel his magic, although there is no proof of this.
Personality: Arthur is a rather extroverted person, and will willingly throw himself into any situation that comes his way. He is reckless and impulsive, traits that have gotten him into trouble from time to time, especially as he doesn’t think much before he talks. He is also very stubborn, and hardly ever relents or gives in, no matter what situation he is in.
Yet he has a strong sense of justice, doing all he can to make sure that everyone is treated fairly and that they are happy. He has an intense dislike of seeing people in despair and crying, and claims that he will make sure that nobody will ever cry again for the wrong reasons. As such, he will always lend a helping hand to make sure others are okay.
Despite his impulses however, Arthur is quick to apologise if he has offended people, something drilled into his head early on in his life by his mother.
History: Arthur was born and raised in Lilycove City to a magical couple, and spent much of his early life as just another simple child who dreamed to become the region’s Champion. He had always been rather extroverted in his youth, something that still hasn’t changed to this day, and spent many happy hours running around the city and having fun pretending to be the greatest person in the world.
However, one day his mother disappeared off to places unknown, leaving only a simple note as a record of her passing, leaving him and his father all alone in their home. From then on, he vowed to become strong enough to travel the world and find her, no matter if he was a mage or a simple trainer. He did take the tests, and learnt that he possessed magical potential, which he decided would help his goals immensely, especially as magic would make his search much easier.
At the age of fifteen, after a few years of attempting to prepare everything possible that was needed for his goal, such as training with his Pokemon, Arthur was ready to be inducted into the summoning ceremony, the beginnings of his journey to reunite with his mother.
Spells Known:
Basic Spells
-Detect Magic
Horn Attack
-A horn-like aura of energy forms around Arthur’s arm, increasing the damage of his physical strikes and adding piercing qualities.
Tail Whip
-Arthur waves an arm around in a circle, creating a push of energy that makes opponents less resistant to damage.
Mud Slap
-Arthur swings his arm at his opponents, launching a small wave of earth.
Sandstorm
-By channeling his energies, Arthur can summon a whirlwind of sand that grows into a full-blown storm, affecting everyone in range, even himself.
Guardian
Name: Rhys
Species: Rhyhorn
Ability: Reckless
Personality: Rhys is impulsive and stubborn – traits that are rather common in his species. He is incredibly eager when fighting, and relishes in its atmosphere. However, he can be a very kind being, and treats other Pokemon with care.
Moves: Horn Attack; Tail Whip; Mud Slap; Sandstorm
Pokemon
Name: Trilo
Species: Anorith
Origin: In his younger days, Arthur’s mother brought him to Rustboro on a vacation. There, he learnt of fossil Pokemon, and managed to obtain one, an Anorith, from the scientists, who had been giving them out to people.
Ability: Battle Armour
Personality: Trilo is quiet and assuming, contrasting greatly with his trainer. He likes to laze around, doing pretty much nothing but eat and sleep unless Arthur calls upon him, in which he immediately follows whatever orders are given. He has an everlasting adoration for leaves.
Moves: Scratch; Harden; Mud Sport; Water Gun

RPGer Profile
Human
Name: Ian Blackwood
Age: 26
Rank: Wizard
Goal: To find and beat Steven Stone
Description: Ian is tall at almost six foot five inches tall. He is built like a runner; thin with long legs and arms. Given his wiry frame, Ian looks skinny at first glance, but in reality doesn’t weigh any less than he should for his age, he actually weighs more than he should do to some of the muscle he has. His skin is unnaturally pale, but still perfectly healthy despite this. His hair is jet black, falling almost to his shoulder in the back, but cut short over his ears and bangs. The last quarter inch of each strand of hair is colored differently, with colors including bright yellow, a light pink, several shades of blue, shades of off white and grey, various shades of green, oranges, and reds. Bizarrely this color change only occurs in the back of his head, and not at all in his bangs or around his ears. (Although Ian will always swear otherwise, he dyes his hair in that fashion, because he thinks it looks cool.)
No matter the season, Ian will always be found wearing complete black, or some shade of grey. He wears a long sleeved black shirt, black jeans and a black jacket, or a long sleeved grey shirt, black jeans and a black jacket. There is no difference beside color in the shirts. The jacket has a simple embroidery of a Volcarona or his heart in silver thread. His gloves have a silver Volcarona embroidered on the back. On his back he wears a thin black back-pack, which holds any information he needs to carry, his cloak and gloves, food, Pokémon food and grooming supplies, along with whatever else Ian happens to need that day.
Personality: It is hard to nail down a definite description of Ian’s personality. On one hand, he seems like a normal guy, if a little bit off in the head. On the other hand, he is a cold and self serving. He can be merciful and compassionate, and turn around and turn in a mother for stealing food to feed her starving children. Very much a man of opposites, Ian personality is rooted in his upbring.
Regardless of his confounding outward actions, Ian is an opportunist. He treats others with cold indifference, not really caring what happens to them as a result of his actions. In fights, he will use any and all tactics to gain an advantage, regardless of how shameful or underhanded the tactic is. Similarly, he will do that same to get people to do what he wants in life, often using threats, intimidation, blackmail, and even carrying out some of his threats to get what he wants. The only people who are spared Ian’s general mannerisms are those who are obviously stronger than him, or those whom he respects. The first list is by far longer.
By contrast, Ian does have a conscience, which spends most of its time ruthlessly suppressed, and can be compassionate. This is mostly reserved for his Pokémon, however, as Ian only feels the need to be nice to his friends, of whom he has exactly one, or people he wants something from. This nicer side of Ian seems to be almost nonexistent, but does rag on him, because much of what he does is wrong, and he knows it, but Ian can’t manage to bring himself to give up his lifestyle.
When not amongst people he needs to be on good terms with, Ian is cold, and talks very little. When pressed he often has curt words, or biting sarcasm for a response. Despite that, Ian enjoys reading, and has a wide array of trivial knowledge.
History: Ian was born in northern Sinnoh, his father worked as a researcher, and his mother was a nurse in Snowpoint City. Ian’s family lived by one rule: everything you do is for your own good; the benefits for others are not required, and as such, Ian grew up learning that he should be an opportunistic person. Ian was raised in this fashion, and generally had no friends growing up as a result. Also due to Ian not having any friends, his early life was all kinds of utterly boring. When he was ten, Ian leaving Sinnoh behind and traveling to Unova, Ian acquired his guardian, which surprised everyone by being a Dieno and began his journey. Ian traveled the Unova region, battling gyms, and training himself and his team. However, he never truly managed to get much beyond mediocrity, something that served to annoy him for the entire two years he traveled Unova. At that point, Ian was fed up with his cycle of not getting anywhere and decided to leave the region, and return to his native Sinnoh.
Upon his return to Sinnoh, Ian took a year to train, and become more skilled. Much of this time he spent being remarkably introspective, trying to sort out why he never could get anything done as a trainer. During this time, he came to realize that he was being too hard on his Pokémon, forgetting that they were fallible, and subject to all the same problems that he as a human was. It was at this point that his guardian, Extraxi, evolved into a Zweilous, much too poor Ian’s surprise.
After a full year Ian traveled the region, slowly beating each of the gyms. During this time he found his signature battling style, which revolved around using any and all tactics, and exploiting every weakness of both the opposing Pokémon, and the trainer. So over the next year and a half, Ian defeated all of the gyms in Sinnoh, before making his way to the Elite Four. However, fourteen year old Ian knew full well that defeating some of the best trainers and potentially Master’s in the entire region was beyond him for a time. So Ian simply settled for trying to find someone to apprentice under. Ian traveled, never finding anyone who would take him as an apprentice, not surprising given his way of acting.
Finally, Ian, in his process of travelling and training, came across the regional champion Cynthia, who he battled and lost to her horrendously, as one would expect. However, not realizing who she was, Ian refused to back down, studying her battle style, until he managed to defeat one of her Pokémon. Cynthia was impressed by this, mostly by Ian’s determination, and seeming ability to analyze someone, that she agreed to teach him some things, not as an apprentice, more of an unofficial deal for a short time. As it turned out, a short time was actually quite long, several years in fact, before Ian left Sinnoh, and headed for Hoenn, eager to see how far he had progressed.
Spells Known:
Detect Magic
Dark Pulse: Much like the actual attack, Ian gathers dark energy in his palms, and then can release it by means of sweeping gestures with his palms, sending pulses towards his enemies.
Dragon Pulse: Ian gathers draconic energy into his hand, forming a sort of orb, which he then throws at the target, in a rough rendition of the actual attack.
Earth Power: Ian places his palm on the ground, and channels energy into it, allowing his to create three small explosions underneath his enemy. He needs to have skin contact with the ground to cause the explosions, but can build up the energy over a period of a time, not necessarily all out once.
Surf: When using this spell Ian becomes incredibly buoyant, able to float on water with no problems at all, while not getting wet.
Dive: While Surfing, Ian can create a bubble of air around his head, which gives him enough air to stay under water for about ten minutes or so.
Outrage: Ian enters into a berserker rage for a short time, which increases his speed slightly, and his physical strength quite a bit. However, Ian can’t tell friend from foe, and after a period of maybe ten to fifteen seconds, he suddenly becomes very tired, and disoriented.
Guardian
Name: Extraxi
Species: Zweilous
Ability: Hustle
Personality: Extraxi is almost the exact antithesis of her species. On the surface, she is a more primal Ian, but in general, she tends to be fairly compassionate, providing a balancing influence to Ian’s ruthless way of dealing with things. In a fight, nothing is going to really bother her, but outside of battle, or when Ian isn’t in danger, she tends be much more compassionate, doing her best to help other Pokémon, as far as she is concerned, most humans aren’t worth the trouble, but other Pokémon are a different story.
Moves:
Dark Pulse
Dragon Pulse
Outrage
Earth Power
Pokémon
Name: Glacialis
Species: Froslass
Origin: Ian’s first capture in Sinnoh, he caught Glacialis just south of Snowpoint City.
Ability: Snow Cloak
Personality: Glacialis is calm, collected, and as her name implies, frigid. She doesn’t really have emotions, opting to simply use logic to do everything, and make all of her decisions. In battles she pairs best with Vesica, as the two are reasonably good friends. Nothing really seems capable of getting Glacialis to show emotions, and Ian even admits that she is something of a robot.
Moves:
Ice Beam
Shadow Ball
Shock Wave
Weather Ball
Name: Vesica
Species: Glaceon
Origin: Where, when, or how your character got this Pokémon. If it's an unusual Pokémon for Hoenn, there should be an acceptable reason for its presence.
Ability: Snow Cloak
Personality: Vesica is the polar opposite of Glacialis, being brash, impulsive, and generally ruled by emotion as opposed to logic.
Moves:
Shadow Ball
Ice Beam
Hail
Iron Tail
Name: Calamitas
Species: Absol
Origin:
Ability: Pressure
Personality: Just like every other member of his species, Calamitas seems to be in a perpetually depressed state, thanks to his ability to foresee disasters. He tends to view humans as annoying, and avoids dealing with people other than his trainer if at all possible.
Moves:
Night Slash
Psycho Cut
Flamethrower
Swords Dacne
Name: Oris
Species: Ralts
Origin: Near Littleroot town, right after Ian arrived
Ability: Trace
Personality: Oris is still very young and naive, and tends to have a rather simplistic world veiw, much like that of a young child. Being Ian’s newest capture, Oris really isn’t used to Ian’s methods of operation, and as such is somewhat relucant to battle, along with finding him to be somewhat scary. On the whole, Oris is scared of much of the outside world, and woudl much prefer to hide that battle.
Moves:
Growl
Confusion
Name: Lentus
Species: Eelektrik
Origin: Chargestone Cave, Unova.
Ability: Levitate
Personality: Lentus is fairly carefree, not really caring what Ian does, as long as he finds it fun, or worhtwhile. Lentus tends to annoy Ian with his antics, providing a measure of comic relief in Ian’s otherwise rather serious team, and frankly life.
Moves:
Wild Charge
Acrobatics
Crunch
Flash Cannon

Take a moment to consider just how nothing nothing really is....If you understand this, then you just solved the universe.
The truth that each person...each soul...is a book. And when we lay our feelings out in the open...and we give them no name...and we give them no author....and we give them no description.....who will actually read them..........?"

Mm, kay. This should be everything. And yes, this is slightly modeled after a fire-bender from the Avatar series. Didn't start that way, but as I continued writing, the similarities started showing up. Let me know if anything is confusing or needs changed.
Name: Elmeigh Soreen
Age: 15
Rank: Mage
Goal: Perfection and power. Yet not for political gain; she only desires to become the best fire mage ever.
Description: Elmeigh is a very proper lady; she wears the finest clothes, even if they're adventuring attire. Her standard uniform is a fine brown and jungle green coat. While she's not that stuck up to where something only a few times, but she often does change her wardrobe out, but always picks up the same attire. Since she feels above everyone else, she often wears a mask over her eyes, designed as her guardian's final evolved form: a light red with yellow sun spots over the eye slits. She also wears sky-blue colored contacts, not because her eyesight is in anyway terrible, but to further address her belief that nobody beneath should see her true features.
Her hair is a dyed midnight blue, and almost always tied in a bun. While never seen for reasons above, her actual eye color is a standard brown and slightly slanted upward. She is slightly taller than most others her age: around five foot eleven.
Personality: She hates humor. Plain and simple. In fact, she can be rather violent and cold. She loves socializing though many people are uncomfortable around her because of her dispassionate demeanor, even borderline insultingly blunt. Someone messes up, including herself, there's no excuses. Because of this, she has little friends, yet she doesn't mind. Her belief is that if you can't accept the truth plainly, then you aren't worth her company.
She doesn't show much fear in anything, often tackling things recklessly. Strategy to her is something fools think in “best case scenarios.” Improvising is better to adapt to, not a plan of attack since more often than not, things do go wrong. Yet even thinking this, she strives for perfection. If and when things happen, it is her number one goal to make sure that any blame that should result, none of it goes to her. As is her goal, the only thing that matters is to become the best. She shows little interest in the world, only to prove to herself and the world on what she is capable of.
History:Born in Mauville, her parents were not the most well off people, and for better and for worse, both often gambled as if a full time job. When she became of age to potentially become a mage, she sought for it with hunger. She always knew she had the gift, yet hid it from her parents. She had some schooling before then; her favorite subjects were math and geography. She had studied studiously, advancing well beyond a normal rate, showing an aptitude to learn. When she finally turned thirteen and was inducted as a mage, she continued her studies in school on top of her new studies in magic. Now, she spends most of her time in Lavaridge, training herself and her Torchic guardian.
Spells
Arched Flame [Scratch]: All of her spells are formed as fire; however, while they are formed as fire, their effect remain as the actual move. In this case, the strength of the spell is close range slash that even though it is fire, it doesn't burn, but still collides in some manner of force and can cut.
Small Fireball[Ember]: A small ball of fire thrown at an enemy.
Inner Fire [Focus Energy]: Allows Elmeigh to shape her next fire attack to land in her enemies weak spot (if applicable).
Detect Magic
Added
Dancing Flame: Conjures up four flames that can be manipulated to perform various tricks. Doesn't burn or damage anything.
Shielding Sphere[Protect in a way]: A fiery sphere that can be placed anywhere in close proximity. It can be used over herself or any individual as a protective barrier. Greatly protects against other fire based spells, but is extinguished instantly when hit by water, rock or ground based spells. Otherwise, it can handle a few spells before burning out. This doesn't make her immune to damaging spells; only weakens the effect with other fire spells not doing anything. Intensity, duration, and damage resistance increases as her mastery gets better.
Guardian:
Name: Galvan
Species: Torchic
Ability: Blaze
Personality: Galvan models after Elmeigh's warrior like mentality. He isn't kind at all, but only gets hostile if any threat is shoved his master's way. He does have more of a sense of humor than Elmeigh, but it's closer to pranks and sarcastic body language than anything else. One thing that is surprising is his capacity to protect those he considers close. This often overlaps with Elmeigh's mindset, but there have been a few times where he's acted on his own in helping those Elmeigh wouldn't have even thought twice about.
Moves: Scatch, Focus Energy, Ember, Growl
Pokemon
Name Splint
Species Mightyena
Origin Found and captured outside of Mauville. Elmeigh saw him as a Poochyena fighting off a group of them, so she intervened, seeing his personality a fit to her own. Overtime, she trained it enough to finally evolve.
Ability Intimidate
Personality: Splint sees himself as being a rather regal individual. He holds himself proud at all times, but isn't arrogant. He is very protective and tries to be at Elmeigh's side whenever out, much to Galvan's noticeable irritation. He tends to overexert himself as he does have a fighting spirit. Overall though, he is quite kind to others and is very playful.
Moves: Howl, Bite, Tackle, and Sand Attack

@ Titan500: Simple character archetype there, but it works nicely for this in my opinion. Interesting that you picked Rhyhorn for Arthur's guardian, and I like the little detail about the Anorith liking leaves, lol. Accepted. Oh, and just as a side bit of info, fossil reviving is done through technology, not magic.
Also, Arthur and Rhys can start out with Mud-slap and Sandstorm. However, Sandstorm will affect Arthur, doing damage to him in a magic battle at first. He won't pick up immunity for a long time.
@SoulMuse: It does need some more work, particularly trimming down those long movelists (humans can know as many as they can remember, Pokemon are still restricted). Also, Ian should be able to use the spells that his guardian normally uses, plus any HM type moves he picked up from Gyms and memorized. But about his guardian, it seems like Extraxi should still be a Zweilous, given that Ian still has his 'nice side' nagging at him to not be so cold; Extraxi's final evolution would come when Ian can resolve that issue. She probably didn't initially evolve during his mediocre period.
Also, I doubt Cynthia would be able to take an apprentice officially. Unofficially, maybe.
@Agent Tectonic: I don't watch Avatar, so I wouldn't know, haha. Elmeigh sounds like an interesting character. Accepted. Also, if she's been studying for two years, then it's possible for her to know an extra two spells. Nothing high powered, though.

Added these two in my sign-up. My D&D history is coming back to me. Figured I could use a few defensive spells.

Glad to know that my thinking Ian needed work wasn't my imagination, which seems to happen a fair bit.
Edits have been made, move list shortened, some bits in the history part changed, to account for one evolution for Extraxi, but no second one as yet. And I clarified the bit with Cynthia. I wasn't going for something trully offical, which I did a pretty crap job of showing.
Take a moment to consider just how nothing nothing really is....If you understand this, then you just solved the universe.
The truth that each person...each soul...is a book. And when we lay our feelings out in the open...and we give them no name...and we give them no author....and we give them no description.....who will actually read them..........?"

Gotcha - I've added the extra moves.
PERSONA: Death's Requiem - Sometimes, as a person dedicated to creating masterpieces of music, you will want the feeling to summon up the mask of confidence that hides all your baggage away and use it to beat up manifestations of humanity's negativity. Sounds rather weird right? It's pretty fun though, but I much preferred the days when you beat up Elder Gods and zombies instead.

RPGer Profile
Oh goodness, there's an RP for this? AWESOME. Totally going to get in on this.
Human
Name: Wade Winstrate
Age: 12
Rank: Novice Mage
Goal: To prove he's the best of his family.
Description:
Personality: Of the Winstrates, Wade is the newest one up to bat, and the fact that many other members of his family have already become mages or powerful trainers does not help his psyche. He has grown up with people hammering into his head that he can be the best, and that taken with sibling rivalry fuels the biggest part of his character - he wants to prove that though all the other people are good, he's better. This desire trumps all else, including a sense of good and evil, so if he feels that joining a cult or some other questionable action will make him better, then he'll do it. There are a few exceptions to this, however.
Considering he lives in a family where magic and pokemon are... not quite STANDARD, but definitely not uncommon... he's extremely hard to startle or excite. He also considers the two to be normal, and so any threats to them are things he would be unlikely to help. (for instance, he's not going to join Team Plasma and their separation ideals, and he's not going to join some anti-magic group.) He treats Pokémon well, but while some of that is out of love, another portion is him thinking about how he can use them to advance his ideals - though the average person would not like this, anyone with a good psychological measure of him would note this as pragmatism.
History: Born and raised by the illustrious Winstrate family, Wade (and yeah, they pretty much all start with a W. He's technically Wade the 9th) has grown up around a family of trainers, wizards, mages, and influential people. Though the Riches have a claim to be the most powerful family in the Pokémon world, their power is mostly governmental, as they do not directly interact much with lower Pokémon and trainers - something the Winstrates do. This carries a high stigma, and thus comes Wade's desire to be the best - however, it also gave him a reasonably good chance to be magically inclined, and it has exposed him to master trainers and wizards, thus meaning he has a good grasp of strategy.
At the age of 10, when most young people would be applying for mage training, he instead was still being privately tutored, as the Winstrates are wont to doing. He did, however, receive his first Pokémon at this time, and careful training evolved his Barboach (obtained from the lake near the Winstrate mansion) into a Whiscash - though he has also obtained a few other Pokémon available in the area, this one is the one he cares for and trusts most, as he knows it can do what he needs it to (this is shown as his other pokemon not actually being on an "active team"). Now, at the age of 12, he has been chosen to have a guardian - and yet, the odd nature of his guardian has led some in his family to believe he might have something important that will happen in the future to him.
Spells Known: Detect Magic, Mail, and Teleport (their presences are normal). Nothing learned outside of those.
Guardian
Name: Dreidel
Species: Baltoy
Ability: Levitate
Personality: Normally, a guardian would be a reflection of the personality of the mage. And on the basic level, Dreidel is indeed a reflection. He rarely reacts to anything, and doesn't use his psychic powers talk to others, excepting his partner. However, the major part of his mage's character - the burning desire - is NOT reflected at all. On one hand, this may be due to the typical Baltoy lack of empathy, but it is also potentially as a test to the guardian - his lack of moral compass going with his partners lack of emotions. As it stands, though, Dreidel mostly does only what it is told, and if it cares about what it does, it only rarely shows it.
Moves:
Confusion (learned at start for Baltoy in pretty much every game it's been in)
Harden (Learned either at start, level 3, or level 4 in every game Baltoy was in excepting Nilla BW)
Rapid Spin (learned at either level 4 or 5 in all generations with Baltoy)
NEXT: potentially any TM or Tutor move within reason (the Winstrates are rich and powerful, and can either afford tutors or already have the ability to tutor the move - not like I'm saying Earth Power or Psychic or something, but something like Endure, Trick, Gravity, Ally Switch, or some other appropriately weak move sure)
Mud Slap (learned at level 7 in every game but Nilla BW)
(may or may not learn Refresh on evolving, Refresh being the move obtained in XD for purifying Baltoy)
Pokemon
Name: Cait Sith
Species: Whiscash
Origin: Obtained 2 years ago, as a Barboach, in the lake outside the Winstrate mansion (game equivalent - there is a pond outside the Winstrate house, you can find Barboach there - infact it is the only thing in that pond if Super Rodded). Has since evolved.
Ability: Anticipation
Personality: Cait Sith is a bit more of a mirror to his trainer's desire, having spent two years working with his trainer absorbing all his wants. He is angered that most look down at his species, and seeks to make his "master" happy. Not of great intelligence, certainly, but he is a willing follower of Wade. He looks down on most pokemon Wade gets (as if they are weak, he does not see them as a help), but is at least willing to tolerate them, and does tolerate Dreidel (as guardian, he knows his potential is immense.)
Moves:
Mud Bomb
Rest
Sleep Talk
Water Pulse
(if we are allowed the full spectrum a la Fizzy Bubbles, then it can also use Mud Sport, Water Sport, Mud Slap, Tickle, Water Gun, Amnesia, Magnitude, Snore, Whirlpool, Secret Power, Rock Tomb, and Rock Smash)
POTENTIALLY LEARNING NEXT: Zen Headbutt (COULD learn. Will learn when his master starts thinking more logically.)
Aqua Tail (learns at level 39)
Earthquake (learns at level 45 more recently, however, in Gen3 it could learn it at level 35)
Any number of random TM, Tutor, or Egg moves (TM and Tutor moves mentioned with Dreidel, and I always imagined Egg moves as tutored by other pokemon - typically the parent, but potentially a different one.)
(though he technically owns many other pokemon, no other will accompany him for his journey.)

Pokemon TCG revamped: The game! - A link to my game. It's locked now, but I'm working on reviving it. If you attempt to recreate it, I will EAT YOU.
...what? I know that I agree with this entirely.
Sorry, got busy for a while there... I still would like to start soon, waiting on two.
@SoulMuse: Okay, Ian is accepted now. Although neither Vesica nor Calamitas has an Origin, but I don't feel like quibbling on that detail. Would still be good to get those done.
@mattman324: well the sign-up is incomplete and I didn't really want to add too many more to the playing roster. If you can get it done before the last two I'm waiting on, I might still give it an okay.
I do like that it's a Winstrate! There's also a Winstrate in Victory Road, although it's only inferred. I think it's Owen (none of the NPC Trainers listed on Serebii have a W name, but I'm almost certain the guy's there and refers to his family). Could be interesting to have Wade in a rivalry with his older brother.
I would rather that Wade does not start with Teleport. As mentioned in the spell data, Teleport is notoriously difficult and usually requires a mentor to teach; if he's a novice, Wade would not have been able to learn it safely yet, doubly so because Dreidel doesn't know it. Wade can start with the spells that his guardian starts, so that would be Confusion, Harden, and Rapid Spin. They'd be a little unskilled, but something Wade would know through his connection to Dreidel.
