Pokemon White Pre-End game team
Hi Everyone,
Firstly I wanted to say that below is the first team I have created, It has been built with the intention of completing Pokemon White for the first time and therefore ideally any advice on moves and items I would prefer if they were not post game options.
I have done a fair bit of looking around however I am finding it difficult to get my head around all the latest changes and how best to plan out my abilities/moves for the below team makeup. I am also extremely happy to take advice on what to replace with regards to Pokemon, moves and items.
I haven't looked at EV Training as I figured it is best to re-breed and then start from scratch with the Pokemon I am interested in doing battles with.

I would really appreciate any advice that you guys have to offer. I haven't played Pokemon since the original Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow and a lot has changed to say the least
It has been a lot of fun getting back into the games.
Thanks again.

Well it's definitely been a big break for you from Pokemon!
Return > Aqua Jet on Samurott for neutral coverage. Go with X-Scissor > Grass Knot as well, to hit the plethora of Psychic and Dark-types in Unova. Leftovers for the item would be fine, or even Expert Belt.
Give Haxorus Leftovers or a Muscle Band, and go with Rock Slide > Brick Break; Rock Slide gets better coverage alongside Earthquake than Brick Break does.
Calm Mind as the last move on Chandelure for boosting. Give it Wise Glasses for the item as it powers up all of your moves instead of just Flamethrower. You can run Timid nature as well since Modest + Wise Glasses + Calm Mind is a bit overkill, and Chandelure likes the Speed increase from Timid.
Magnezone @ Leftovers
Modest Nature
Ability: Sturdy
~ Thunderbolt
~ Flash Cannon
~ Signal Beam / Charge Beam
~ Thunderwave / Substitute
Sturdy is far superior to Magnet Pull. Magnezone isn't that fast so I wouldn't bother with Timid tbh but just run Modest instead. You can either go with Signal Beam for coverage and Thunderwave for team support, or run Charge Beam + Substitute; use Substitute and then spam Charge Beam, boosting your SpA on the way, and then you can sweep with Thunderbolt and Flash Cannon.
Hope this helps!
Xerneas, the Midgard Pokemon. Xerneas's branch-like horns are reminiscent of those
of the tree it guards. Its mighty horns contain jewels of dazzling colours. It chomps at
upper branches by craning its neck toward the sky. Xerneas protects the horizontal world.

Hi Zhanton,
I have taken a fair bit of time this afternoon going through my pokemon now that I have just gotten the 8th badge and I am on my way to defeat the elite four for the first time. My aim before this was to finalise my pokemon's movesets however whilst looking for them I noticed a fair few of my originally mentioned moves are either bread into the pokemon or can not be learned prior to the defeat of the elite four. I was wondering if you or anyone else on this forum may have some advice on what moves I should use in place of their more powerful post elite four options? I woul also love advice on weither or not to keep Sigilyph and/or what items to put in the place of the question marks
