    Default Marvel Scale

The reason the thread is named "Marvel Scale" is because I think that's a cool ability and it sounds like an arty title for an art thread. I recently started drawing and drawing with a tablet and am trying to improve so I think it would be good to take a more active role in the art section.

    February - 2013

Anyway I recently sketched and colored this:

    A Wild Pidove Appeared!

A alternate-colored Pidove I sketched and drew, I had to use a reference picture from the anime to draw it. I'm definitely not at a level where I can create and realistically draw Pokemon doing things on my own without some type of model or reference to go off of unfortunately. I really appreciate any and all critique, criticize, tips, etc. that anyone is willing to give me because it does help me improve my lukewarm skills. In particular, I have no clue how to shade for example or keep my lines more straight and tight-knit.

The belly could be bigger, but other than that, it is a great work! Also, a little shine in the eyes (a small white highlight slightly overlapping the pupil) would really give it life

I've never done anything like that before, I'm still fairly new to digital drawing. I think I know what you mean though.

First of all, well done :-)

I love the effect you've given with the colouring, the white breaks in the colour looks really good! I also like the way pidove looks like he's agonna smack into a tree the startled look in his yellow eye, huh! I am a big fan of the wings, as wings are hard to draw and for a nrw artist they have been executed wonderfully. However, I agree with the person above as IT also think that a light circle or glint in the eye would make'empiercing yellow irises even better looking! But IF draw on pen and paper so its easier for me to add such a glint (you could always just use a small rubber one the program you use and erase, a small circle in the eye) I also think you could adda background to improve the picture but that's just a personal opinon as I love nice background :-)
    Keep up the wonderful work!

    D-O-G-A-R-S DOGARS!

I drew this after rewatching the Roxie gym battle in the anime, I was a bit too anxious to release it and noticed how disproportional the body was and how uneven the eyes where. My bad on that.

Wow this is really good. The rich vivid purple on the white background really stands out for a stunning look. The basic anatomy is drawn well, andthe mouth and eyes look like the signature look of the coffing, laughing happily almost. Overall, it is a lovely picture but there is a few things I think you could do better on. There are a few more sticky out bits on the actual coffing game images then there are here, and, as you have pointed out yourself, the eyes are uneven. I'm not sure if the body is disproportionate, though, I thought it was quite well proportioned, but I'll leave that upto you. Also, the skull and bones sign is slightly larger on the nintendo images, but thas nothing major.
    Keep it up, you've improved!

Thank you once again for the kind words, the poor drawing of the bones as well as the eyes being uneven had more to do with my general anxiousness. I should have been more patient with drawing it.
