1000 Years: A Zatch Bell RPG

It's been a thousand years since Zatch won his battle to be Momodo King, and the time for a new king to be selected was coming near. It had been an extremely peaceful era for the Momodo world under Zatch's rule, he had been the kind king that was promised to everyone. Even Zatch however, had a dark side, and he felt it grow within him as the final years passed by before he would be forced to either retire as king or compete once again. Just thinking about the hard ships he faced to get where he was ruled out the second option, and he couldn't bring himself to be okay with retirement. What if someone evil took the throne? He could be putting the Momodo world in danger by allowing the competition to take place. For all he knew, someone even worse than Clear Note could take control. Zatch knew he was only coming up with excuses to make it seem like what he was about to do wasn't totally selfish and horrible, but either way, he could not allow anyone else to become king. At least not yet.

He ordered a servant of his to summon White, the new kind form of Clear Note. Zatch, holding the powers of the king, restored his memory, in order for him to reclaim his savage desire to destroy anything that stood in his way. Zatch quickly transported him to the human world, allowing him to choose the human he will brainwash and give him a head start on his terror. The next order of business was to make the announcement. He quickly put out the news with his own spin on it. The once peaceful Momodo White has mysteriously relapsed and returned to the human world in order to prepare himself to fulfill his goal of destroying the Momodo world. In order to combat this, the choosing of the new king will be put on hold, and the top (Insert amount of people who sign up here) Momodo's will be sent to the human world early to eliminate Clear Note before he grows too strong. They would be teleported to wherever their partner rests in the world. They were told to find their partners quickly before meeting up in England.

The Momodo world began to panic, but only slightly. Zatch had been such a good and kind leader, they trusted his plan would work flawlessly. Zatch felt and odd mix of guilt and satisfaction. Sending down the strongest Momodo greatly decreased the chance of Rebellion up in the momodo world. Allowing him to tend to his plan as needed without much fuss, and should the Momodo die, they will be remembered for their bravery towards the cause....his own personal cause. Zatch also gave a little thought to the possibility that Clear Note does try to take over the Momodo world. That would certinly put a damper on his plans. Look how he was talking! He is the Momodo king, nobody can defeat him. The plan is fullproof. The momodo should be evenly matched to Clear Note, and when word gets around to the Momodo world that his planned worked flawlessly, they will love him forever. They will never let him step down! It's perfect. Zatch sat back, it was time to relax, and let the events unfold.

Character Name: Diego Vendrix
Gender: Male
Age: 18

Character Physical Description: He stands at five foot, 9 inches. He has low cheekbones, a boyish face, slight stubble, and wears a pair of glasses that darken themselves in bright sunlight. His hair is black with subtle patches of very dark brown, mainly in the tips. His hair is kept trimmed and neat, however the ends on the back of his head are messy and spiky. He has slightly bigger than average eyes, which are chocolate brown. His eyes are large enough that they are noticeably larger than average, even by a margin amount. His skin is a pale shade of olive skin that could be seen from his face. His body is a slight stocky build, a bit of fat and some muscle also.

He wears a black T-shirt with a gold yingyang symbol on front and a white silhouette of Quetzalcoatl, portrayed as an Ouroboros with the crescent moon and sun in the center of the loop on the back. He has on some black cargo pants that has pockets to carry anything he needs to and black tennis shoes with a red spiral on them. He completes this ensemble with n gray fleece "M-44 Jacket". He also has on a digital watch with him. He does change shirts to different slightly bizarre shirts, but overall this is kinda his basic attire. He also has a red bandana wrapped around his right arm.

Character Personality: Diego is a warm and emotional person with an occasion fiery temper and an adventurous spirit. He is very empathetic and has a great desire to help people out. Beneath this outgoing personality, Diego is a shy and quiet person. He is also a very artistic individual as he will often draw whenever he gets the chance to do so. He is very loyal, but can come on as clingy, especially around girls. He also likes to cook. When in serious situations, he knows it is time for him to use his intelligence and strengths at their full capacity. He is very creative and known to be devious for his ideas. He is regarded as being very smart in many aspects.

He has his faults, however. Some of these are being blunt, sarcastic, picking fights, laziness and often day-dreaming during certain moments and saying a weird comment afterward. Beyond that, he also has moments of self-righteousness, showing frustrated toward some of the less-than-savory characters, but holds his tongue when he needs to. He may also show some malevolent intent or hold grudges for a while. He may even show cruel moments, characterized by a crazed grins and shadows under his eyes. He is prone to snarky or blunt comments and is often unable to figure out what to do in situations with people so will often mess things up, though he means no harm. Despite this or because of it, he tries to overcome these traits so people don’t judge him on his faults and see him as a good person.

Character History:
Born of Mexican heritage, Diego does not have of an interesting background. Born on the West Coast, his parents move to the Southeast a few months after his brother is born. He grew up being a bright but eccentric and lonely kid. Not able to understand that he was different and why the kids viewed him strangely, he took it in stride though his short temper would come out and showed that that the neglect gave him a growing self-loathing. In his mind, for every one of his age to avoid him and not being able to make friends until much later, made him wonder if something was the matter. Believing something was wrong with him, he repressed this self-loathing with optimism. He continued moving forward, though he became sulky and aggressive during middle school.

This coupled with his brother’s normalcy, growing contrasting personality and popularity made the two clash and a rift was created that Diego ultimately regretted and while on better terms, still views this as a shame. Regarding his parents, his father worked in Operations for a computer company while his mom was a homemaker. Diego loved both his parents but closer to his father because he was a very competent, understanding, patient and understanding man, despite his stubborn attitude and need for control. Diego loves his mom and anyone who offends her will be given the traditional Mexican treatment, i.e. a tongue lashing a chance for a beatdown. However, he views her slightly as a ditz and is exasperated by her occasional lack of practicality and frugality, though he sympathizes with her emotional side, due to being the same way.

Being left to his own devices with no real friends until later, Diego took to some of the nerd hobbies, mainly reading, video gaming and anime and manga. Some of his favorites as a child were Pokemon and Digimon, wishing he could be like them. Growing older, he watched those like Naruto and One Piece. Being shy around some adults and never finding a mentor in the form an older peer, he centered his principles on heroes of various fictions. Emulating some of their properties and adopting their determination, they helped Diego forge a moral code. This combined with his stubbornness and intelligence, made him come off as someone who was devious in arguing and a smartass at times. In high school, as people matured and got used to him, Diego began mellowing out. However, he still holds a grudge to many a peer. To him, they did something wrong and the right thing to do would be to apologize. He does so and has often done so. This ratio adds to the self-loathing by making him think many things are because of his fault. This gradual compilation led to the formulation of a potential dark side. Retaining his assets while thriving on anger, sadness, revenge and other suppressed emotions , this is the side of him he does his best to restrain.

Ultimately, he finishes off high school with strong grades, the only Hispanic with honors and going to college. However, his lack of experience with social cues as well as lacking any psychological coaching until late teenagerdom, put him in odds regarding networking. Furthermore, his philosophical ways and quirky views of the world made it odd for him to decide what he wanted, viewing the world having gotten too complicated. Currently, he is studying Film in Atlanta. Currently, he is contemplating on what he wants from life and hoping for the opportunity to come to live out his boyhood dreams of being a hero just like the idols of his childhood. One weekend, he went home for the weekend and took a walk in the night. He met a little who dug out of nowhere and learned of the competition for the Mamodo world. Hearing of the opportunity, he began to help train Shimun while trying to get money for England.

Momodo Physical Description:
A young boy with fair skin, blue hair and brown eyes, he is about the average height for his age. He wears a red bandana around his arm and a pair of goggles on his head. He has a young face. The goggles are black with red lenses and the lenses are somewhat traingular. They had lights built to the sides. He wears a plain blue shirt with a red spiral on it. He also wears some grey shorts with pockets on them. He tends to walk wearing sandals though he also likes to walk barefoot. His eyes are similar to that of Zatch's as a child.

Momodo Personality:
Shimun is a shy and nervous boy. Having lost his parents at an early age and being alone because he was poor, he had only one friend which was the young man who took him in. He has problems believing in himself. Despite this, he cares greatly for everyone and despite his fear, he will also go to save those he cares about, no matter how scared he is. However, when properly encourged, he shows his true nature: he is a valiant, stubborn, caring and optimistic young man. He is actually capable of making good plans. When he gets nervous or needs to get away to think, he digs a hole. When he shows his true powers, his eyes begin getting a spiral pattern to them and glowing.

Besides digging, he likes to spend time with his friend and is occasionally the sane one of the group. He appears to enjoy any sort of food. Along with his adoptive brother, he likes giant robots. When not able to dig, such as in doors, he will sometimes read whatever is around.

Momodo History: Shimun was born into a clan of Earth-based mamodo who spent their time mining and digging. Shimun lost his family to a disaster at a young age. Because of this, he dedicated most of his time digging, showing shyness to most people. One day while going through a main tunnel, he ran into an older boy, also orphaned, but independent. After a mishap, they ended up in a collasped with other people. Most of everyone, including the young man gave up. However, upon seeing Shimun still trying to dig out, he began encouraging him, which helped them escape.

Over time, the boys became quite close. While the young man was eligible to go, he gave his position to Shimun. The decision wasn't argued because they recognized the boy as the hero from the cave-in. Despite his protests and concerns, the young man reassured Shimun that everything will be all right and this will be his trial of manhood. He told that anything is possible and he will recognize his book owner because of the bond of their souls. With words of encouragement and the gift of the headband, Shimun set out to find his owner. He would walk around by day and dig by night. One day, he found his owner when he popped out to see him sitting outside at night. They talked and bonded and now both are the quest to find out who they are.

Spells:
Doruru- Foms a drill from his hand (about a foot long while the base has a diameter of 6 inches long) and fires it from his fist at his foe.

Dorushield- Forms a spiraling shield (about 6 feet tall) to defend him and his bookowner using both hands. The result is that the basic attacks are broken up (lasers are dispersed, solid matter is shredded to, goo is blended) though stronger attacks will break it.
