Also, for people who are posting spoilers, if you don't mind, title the spoiler tag when you post one. I'm always scared to read the spoilers because I'm not fully done the books, but I'm done enough of it that I can read most spoilers if I know they're pre-ADWD.
Well, I know you're on book four, so the spoiler I posted will be old news to you.
But, ummm... I kinda forgot how to title spoilers.

Anyway, yeah. I onw like 4 people irl who have heard of and/or watched/read the series. (My best friend, my sister[who is not very much of a fan, really], my brother-in-law, and my brother-in-law's brother.)
I'm sure other people in my school have read or watched the series, but they've never made it known.
I kinda wish I knew more peoples who are familiar with the series.
Then I wouldn't hate most of the people I know. Welp.

I don't think this is a spoiler, since technically it should have already happened in the show. Didn't Barristan Selmy enter Dany's service accompanied by a pit slave? Fat Belwas the eunuch, I think it was? I guess he's not a super major character, so in theory he could be written out, but I always kind of liked him in the books and was interested to see how he would be portrayed. Or maybe he'll show up later than he did in the books, Jojen and Meera Reed style?

GRRM himself confirmed that Belwas was cut. There's just way too many characters to bring in from the books.

Ah, really? Well, that's a shame. I should hope that after the events of the last episode we'll see the Tullys soon enough. Though I believe we were supposed to meet them in Clash of Kings, or at least, according to the wiki, we were supposed to meet the Blackfish because he helped Robb win several key battles in the books.

I believe they were even in book 1, or at least mentioned.

Hoster was mentioned, because of his illness. But they didn't appear until the war started and Robb sought help from Riverrun.

I haven't been watching the show, but in the books, Belwas seems to be a fairly important character. Maybe not.

Also, I have grown to dislike the Frays. Poor Robb

When you think about it, though, he really doesn't do anything that Barristan doesn't. I can see why he was deemed an unnecessary character.

I don't remember too well. He had a big part in the last chapter I read, so I suppose I didn't remember that. Haven't finished A Storm of Swords yet so I dunno if he'll be important later.

Yeah, not really. He doesn't feature in Book 4, and his role in Book 5 is relegated to a few cameos.

Just out of curiosity and for the sake of disussion, who're your favorite and least favorite characters?

My favorites are Arya, Tyrion, and Davos. Least favorites are Jeoffery (obviously), Cersei, and Theon Greyjoy.

    Favorites: Jaime, Davos, Blackfish, Jorah

Least: I can't really think of a least favorite character. Even the ******* characters are good.

So far the characters are very interesting and likeable. And I am actually feel bad for Theon . He was like Faramir to me, but much more unlucky T_T

I've seen only a handful of the episodes, but I'm feverishly tearing through the books.

Favorites: Jorah, Jaime, Robb, Arya, Varys and countless others, but they are some of my favorites
Least favorites: Bran, Shae, Stannis etc. I don't hate Stannis or Bran, but their stories are lacking. And Shae is bleh.

Jaime losing his hand was brutal, even though the song that played during that scene ruined it. It took away the tension in my opinion. And Hot Pie leaving Arya & Gendry. At first it was kinda awkward, but then it turned out to be pretty sad. Funny how Hot Pie's departure is more sad then Andrea's death in the Walking Death. Don't know if that is a positve for the writing in GOT or a negative for the writing in TWD.

My favourites are probably Jon, Tyrion, Arya and Jaime. A Storm of Swords really made my love for Jaime grow, and I've loved the other three from the minute they were introduced. I also think Littlefinger, Varys and Cersei are pretty cool.

I don't really dislike that many characters. There are some (Bran) that I'm sort of indifferent to, and some others that I think are terrible people, but none of them are really bad characters. I mean, Joffrey is an evil, masochistic prick, but he's still a good character and I've always loved a villain that can really get your blood boiling. The only character that I ever really disliked was Sansa.

e: Oh, and Aeron Greyjoy. Couldn't stick his chapters.

I feel sorry for Stannis. He's clearly being manipulated by Melisandre (at least that's what it seems as of A Storm of Swords), and he really was the rightful heir to the Iron Throne. Maybe my opinion will change when reading A Feast For Crows.

Also, I found out that A Dance With Dragons doens't come out in paperback till about october. I don't want to wait that long but hardback books are so much more expensive >.<

So that episode was pretty fantastic. That was the best episode of the season so far, and I can't believe Season 3 is 40 % done.

    - I haven't been a fan of Dany's story-arc, especially her Season 2 story-arc was lackluster and poor in my opinion, but the shot of her riding with the Unsullied and her dragons, that was bloody fantastic.
    - Bran's story-arc is just a big meh for me. I'm not interesting in what he is doing, and it is honestly a big yawn.
    - King's Landing is soooo gooood right now. I'm loving Margaery, Olenna, Tywin, Varys and even goddamn Joffrey is amazing. Him giving Margaery history lessons were the biggest laughs of the episode. Seriously, what the hell is wrong with this kid?
    - Poor Mormont. I wish he would kill Rast.
    - More Brotherhood scenes!
    - I did kind of laugh when Jaime fell in the mud and drank horse piss. And he wasn't that bad with his left arm.
    - And good luck Theon. That's all I have to say.

A healthy Jamie probably would have owned those guys even with his left hand.

Meanwhile, the fourth book has made me angry.

The show is currently somewhere in the events of the third book correct? I haven't been watching.
