    *Facepalm*

See where this is going? Well, this old nut, Professor Quercus is calling in that favor from your parents who were once archeologists along with him.
This is what happens when I don't read the OP properly. It doesn't really change anything, but I had to edit Ty's history a little. (I had to make his dad an archaeologist.)

And now for Trouble. I mean, Marcy.

    Name: Marcella Shale-Elmhart
    Nickname: Marcy
    Age: 15
    Gender: female
    Team: Whichever works
Location: Taillow Apartment Complex (lower-middle class area)

Appearance: Marcy had deep violet hair, usually kept up in two pigtails at the sides of her head, dangling in a messy wavy fashion to a little past her shoulders. She has dark blue eyes with naturally long eyelashes, but has to wear eyeglasses at all times; her usual pair is oval-shaped to match her heart-shaped face, with a black wire frame. As she is quite active, she generally wears a cord to her glasses, so that she won't lose them if they slip off in some unexpected antic. Her skin is light brown, occasionally tanning a darker shade when she's out often. She often has a few scrapes on her, wearing colorful and silly bandages if need be.

She's a t-shirt and pants kind of girl, usually black runner's pants with colored stripes up the side, since they're made to run around in. Her shirts are usually colorful too, with large or busy prints as long as they're fun. The stripe on the pants usually matches something on the shirt, but that's about all she cares about what her outfit looks like. However, she does care about her shoes, making sure they'd stand up to her hiking, running, jumping, and whatever else may be in store. She keeps two pairs of sneakers and one pair of hiking boots, using whichever seems most suitable (the boots are for the roughest terrain). She keeps her things in a sturdy backpack; it was originally a plain black, but she's had patches of various butterfly and moth Pokemon added for color.

Personality: Marcy is an adventurous, mischievous, and active girl; might even say hyperactive at times. She loves running and taking odd paths, to the point where she thinks nothing of jumping over fences and sliding on slick surfaces if it gets her to where she's going quicker. With great reflexes and balance, she loves high places (she got onto the top of a flagpole at age seven, much to the shock of her teacher who hadn't even noticed her climb). She gets excited about the thought of traveling to distant locations and exploring wild places. However, she's perfectly fine with exploring in the city, always on the look out for some interesting old and hopefully abandoned structure to peek around in.

She likes to laugh and tell jokes; it usually takes some incentive to get her to listen to serious talk. She also loves pranks, like doing something nice for someone and pretending like she's done something horrible instead. However, she's not out to make people mad or upset. She believes in working little by little to make the world a happier, brighter, and better place, because otherwise everything would just be boring and miserable.

She doesn't scare easily, or get angry much. Mostly, Marcy seems amused at the world, to the point where people might question if she really cares about what's going on. After all, if she gets bored, she may wander off or start dancing. She gets reckless with her exploring and might push her mischief too far. She doesn't always recognize when she might hurt another's feelings. She is clever and often solves puzzles if she has to stay indoors, but she's not as good at remembering things she's not interested in, or at spelling.

History: Marcy's parents divorced when she was little. It wasn't a violent break-up, as they'd simply fallen out of love. They were even able to becomes just friends after a few years apart, mostly in exchanging emails. By their divorce agreement, Marcy would stay with her father in Celestia, where he worked long hours at an accounting office. This was because he lived in the district of a great public school that Marcy attended. While her father had a somewhat boring job (and life in Marcy's view), he often let her do what she wanted as long as daily chores got done.

Then, during school breaks, she would go visit her mother, who worked as a park ranger in a wilderness preserve. At one time, she had been a much more active Ranger, often using her skills and powerful Pokemon to accompany scholars and archeologists so that they could do field research safely in the wilderness. Marcy loved being out with her mother, since they often went to explore caves and old trails in the preserve. She picked up quite a few wilderness survival skills doing this, like how to pitch a tent, tie various knots, and build a fire from whatever was around. Her mother was often more strict than her father, but Marcy never minds this strictness since it usually makes sense.

Marcy has pulled off some interesting pranks in her life, getting a reputation around school as fun to be around but dangerous to pick on. She has had a few crushes on boys, but no actual relationships yet. But recently, a quite interesting thing happened that she was involved in but had not started. Her mother showed up at her father's apartment unexpectedly, because of a call from Professor Quercus, an archeologist that she had explored with a few times early in her career. Apparently, he had saved her life at one point, but had asked for nothing in return until just then. Now he wanted to borrow Marcy for some kind of exploration. While it wasn't too clear what this was all about, he was willing to give her a unique Pokemon to help her out, and to keep.

The original plan had been for her father to buy a set of Pokeballs, and then her mother would help her catch something in the preserve (because the preserve had a strict guideline of how to claim ownership of a Pokemon living in it). But since her mother owes this favor and it is a free Pokemon that would be hard to get by any other means, this opportunity seems too good to ignore.

    Starter: Torchic
    Nickname: Empress
Personality: Empress is a quiet and dignified Pokemon. She is calm, keeping a stiff upper beak when other Pokemon try to rile her up. She turns her head away from anything she deems rude. As a Torchic, she does sometimes trip up, which makes her fluff up in annoyance if anyone saw her being klutzy. She doesn't mind running around with Marcy or battling, but she does seem sensitive to making a fool of herself in doing so badly.
Distinct Features: Marcy may get a yellow hairbow to clip to Empress' head-feathers... that is, if Empress does not deem it too cute to be dignified.

    Name: Alexander Marcus
    Age: 20
    Gender: Male
    Team: Any
    Location: Celestia Town

    Appearance:

Alexander is a statuesque young man. He is slightly over six feet tall. He has always been one of the tallest people of his age group. He has broad shoulders and long legs that provide him with most his height. Alexander is very active and enjoys physical activities. He mostly participates in martial arts, and this is how he gets a lot of his muscle tone and definition. His skin is light brown with red undertones. He has yet to grow any facial hair, so he still has his boyish face. Alexander has thick black eyebrows that many people choose to make fun of, but Alexander embraces them and maintains them the best he can. He also has large almond-shaped hazel eyes. Alexander’s mouth is wide and pouty. He has received a lot of compliments about his smile. Atop Alexander’s head is a mass of tamed curls.

Alexander dresses quite fashionably. This often shocks a lot of people. He isn’t sure why. He has the money to buy the best clothes out there. Alexander enjoys shopping and has quite the extensive wardrobe. He typically dresses in bright colors and unique accessories. Currently, he is wearing a pair of dark denim skinny jeans that neatly sit atop a pair of sleek tan boots. Covering his torso is a salmon button up with a gray cardigan layered over it. He wears a necklace with a key hanging from it and a dark green backpack.

    Personality:

Alexander typically comes off as quiet and aloof. This is because he is usually lost in a daydream or pondering the mysteries of the world. He is in fact a very kind and warm person once you get know him. He tries to stay optimistic and keep the morale high for his friends in unfortunate situations. Alexander will often avoid conflict unless it concerns his values being stepped on; in a situation such as this, he can become very emotional. Alexander adheres to his inner values without compromise. He often strives to create a harmonious atmosphere.

Alexander prefers to rely on his instincts and emotions when making decisions. He is not opposed to logic, but if something doesn’t feel right, he won’t do it. It helps that his instincts are usually right, but there have been times when they were wrong. Alexander doesn’t share his most personal feelings with others, and it is often hard for others to realize if they have offended him. This often can lead to him holding a grudge, because he isn’t properly expressing how he feels. He is a very sensitive individual, but he tries to pretend that he isn’t. He dislikes criticism, but he understands that it is helpful for him to hear it.

Alexander is very flexible and adaptable in most situations. He goes into any situation and is slow to judge others and quick to help. He loathes being bound by commitments and plans. He would much rather improvise and make things up as he goes once he has his objective. He doesn’t have much common sense, but he is actually quite astute and scholarly; he learns new things at an astounding rate.

Alexander does enjoy talking to others, but he enjoys his solidarity even more. He isn’t opposed to working with others and will willingly do so if he sees the benefits of doing so, but more often than not, he will choose to work independently. He is a creative and innovative person, and tries to show his talent when possible. Alexander believes that anything he does must have personal meaning to him and that by doing it he will bring something good into the world.

    History:

Alexander was born in Celestia Town. Both of his parents, Ariel and Samuel, were archaeologist that focused on Pokemon evolution. They met in Kanto; they were assistants to Professor Oak. Eventually, they became full-fledged archaeologist and decided to move to Hoenn. They were drawn to the many legends that made Hoenn what it is. They decided to travel to Sinnoh after their stint in Hoenn, because they were intrigued by the thought of learning about the many Pokemon that lived there. It was during this time that Ariel discovered that she was pregnant with their first child. They decided to move into a modest home in Celestia Town. After giving birth to Alexander, Ariel and Sam made the decision to stay in Celestia Town. They enjoyed the slow pace of town, but the visitors and archaeologist that visited the ruins kept them busy.

Alexander grew up traveling with his parents to different sites. This allowed him to absorb a lot of information about Pokemon and the many mysteries that surrounded them. His passion that he developed for Pokemon, lead his parents to enroll him in a school that focused primarily on Pokemon Research. Alexander enjoyed his academic studies just as much as he enjoyed Pokemon battling and research. Alexander decided to move into the field of Pokemon research once he turned eighteen, but he decided to leave Celestia Town to do his studies.

Alexander has spent the past two years traveling and doing research. Recently, he has received a call from his parents. They requested that he return to Celestia Town to meet an old friend of theirs, Professor Quercus. They mentioned that he would be given a rare Pokemon. Alexander agreed immediately and has returned to Celestia Town.

    Pokemon SU:
    Starter: Chikorita
    Nickname: Flora

    Personality:

Flora is just as zany as Alexander. She enjoys being with Alexander and meeting new Pokémon. She is always getting into different situations that make for fun moments to look back on. Flora is only serious when she is protecting someone or when there is danger afoot. Flora is also a very emotional Pokemon, but seems to not stay in a negative mood for long. Flora will go out her way to help others and will encourage others to do the same.

    Distinct Features: N/A

Water-types are fairly quiet and passive and don't like to draw a lot of attention to themselves, but deep down they have a sharp creative intellect and intuition.
