BWS2Da!04: Goodbye Mijumaru!? The path to being Scalchop King!
Airdate: May 16, 2013
Having heard that there will be a "Scalchop Play-Off", Ash and his friends head to Scalchop Island where the contest will take place. Whoever is crowned as the Scalchop King is said to receive a golden Scalchop and to be able to partner up with Mijuka, the champion of the girls competition. Oshawott, who has fallen in love with Mijuka at first sight, tries its best to win the championship. The tournament includes unique events such as comparing the form and curves of the Scalchops and using them to break bricks to test their strength.

Seriously? Why on earth would the writers get rid of Oshawott. He's getting replaced by palpitoad.

Isn't Oshawott on the movie posters? I doubt and hope he won't leave.

I prefer that than him leaving. Though I wouldn't like an episode to have a build up and then change it's course at the end, unless there is a good reason.

I'm happy that he will actually face a Dewott now, unlike in episode 4 when he was too scared to.

That whole "I don't wanna evolve" episode perhaps... Oshawott might be showing signs of evolution despite not doing anything important besides learning Hydro Pump

Yeah, that's true, but I guess a Pokemon that evolves from him would have more of a meaning, you know?

IF i comprehend, he is challenging the Dewotter for the 'Hotachi King' title.

Guess he loses, though. Since he stays onboard.

If he won it'd make sense he stay and rule his kinfolk.

Oh, yeah, apparently they're on Hotachi Island. Makes sense.

I hope to see a lot of Oshawott on this island, because we've hardly seen any wild Osahwott, probably any.

People are forgetting the possibility that Oshawott can stay here and return in the movie like Charizard had done in M3

I mean... If a crisis was occurring in Unova, why would the movie writers not pimp Oshawott to get the job done?

My prediction: Oshawott will be Scalchop King and will rule over the people like Squirtle rules over the Squirtle Squad and Bulbasaur rules over Oak's home- except he'll be a king.

Woah! Mijumaru VS. Futachimaru! This is an episode I can really get hyped for, I really like the Mijumaru family. Mijumaru finally getting some serious focus and possible development since early BW and a win! I'm all for it! This is gonna rock, don't care if he evolves or not tbh. Though the "Goodbye" part might refer to evolution and him learning to being a hotachi king a.k.a battle with two hotachi instead of one. This is just gonna be so cool to see one of my favorite Pokemon of Satoshi's get some serious focus.

I can't @ some people thinking he'll leave or evolve. I mean, we've had these sort of episode titles before. There's no doubt in my mind that it's misleading and will be about Oshawott's determination to win against his evolved form.

With the focus on the scalchop, he's probably not going to learn anything new either. He already has Razor Shell.

Well since the battle seems to be one of blades, I think it'll be a samurai-based episode. You know, a "who's sword is sharpest" or "who is the master swordsman" type of thing. I like it because it's an original theme for this anime, but that title is giving me a headache.

Well let's see. An episode dealing with an incredibly popular and iconic Pokemon. I think C is the right answer.

And can we assume that the image of all the Oshawott and Meowth is from this episode? 'Cause if so then I'm about to pass out; so many Oshawott, my heart can't take it!
