What is a Single Pokemon Challenge?

A challenge in which you use every Pokemon possible at least 11 times in battle, especially Dunsparce.

No, not really. It's simply a challenge in which you use one Pokemon, and one Pokemon only, for battles. Additional Pokemon for HM uses are permitted for obvious reasons, but they must not be used in the battles themselves.

You may use any Pokemon that can be obtained before the 1st gym in-game! Preferably the earlier the better. You can also, if you are able, have an egg traded to you for hatching to use as your solo Pokemon. (Preferably an egg, as besides the odd period early game a traded Pokemon will gain too much experience to make it much of a challenge.

Variations can be had as well - for example, keeping the Pokemon unevolved may be considered.

    Rules

    • Please read the Challenge Forum rules before posting.
    • You can only use one Pokemon! Any other Pokemon must be only used for HM usage.
    • Only use a Pokemon obtained before the 1st gym.
    • If you wish to use a Pokemon not native to your game then you may trade an egg form to your game for hatching.
    • If you wish to use any other restrictions, please specify them in the first post you make in this thread for your challenge.

A parody of the Pokemon Colosseum game, full of pastries and Miror B.
Completed. Four times winner of Best Comedy/Funniest Fic.

There's no posts in this thread...I think it's time to fix that.

Introducing...Boy vs World, a solo challenge done in Pokémon Blue. I'll only be using Charmander/Charmeleon/Charizard, because why not, and also because Vulpix isn't obtainable before the first gym.

    Challenge Start!

(Also, I'm writing this as a story because that's what I'm used to. I'll try to do somewhat short updates.)

"Maurice! Aren't you supposed to meet with Professor Oak and get your first Pokémon?" Maurice's mother called up the stairs.

"Yeah, yeah! Just let me finish getting ready!" Maurice yelled back. He threw on his jacket, and tore down the stairs. Grabbing an apple from the table, he kissed his mother and waved goodbye, running out of the house. He didn't want to be late today.

"Professor!" Maurice said, opening the door to the Pokémon Lab.

"Ah, Maurice! I'm glad you came!" Professor Oak said, smiling. His grandson, Jack, on the other hand, was sending a death glare Maurice's way. Maurice ignored him, after all, Jack was always that way, and always seemed angry at Maurice about something. What it was, of course, was a total mystery to Maurice.

"Can I choose my Pokémon now? Please?" Maurice asked.

"Yes, yes. The Pokémon are on that table over there," Professor Oak said, gesturing towards the table.

Maurice walked over and immediately grabbed one Poké Ball.

    "This one!"

"Then I'll take...this one!" Jack said, grabbing the Poké Ball next to the one Maurice grabbed. Then, he turned towards Maurice, with a smirk on his face. "Now, I won't let you leave until you fight me!"

    "You're on!"

And with that, the two boys tossed out their Pokémon, and began fighting. It was far from a magnificent fight, mostly scratching, tackles, and mostly failed tail whips. In the end, however, Maurice and his Charmander, Blue, were victorious.

Before Jack had a chance to complain, Maurice ran out the door, jumping for joy. His journey had truly begun....

    Three Sentence Summary:

    - I began the game as Maurice.

    - Maurice chose Charmander as his starter, and named him Blue.

    - Maurice beat his rival, Jack, in the first rival fight.
