    Default Nope

Nope. The anime is completely retarded. Everyone talks like children, episodes are predictable, and bad guys are walking jokes. The only thing that I like in the anime now is that Team Rocket finally got their **** together, but they are still slightly below par because they still lose terribly. Just with more dignity.

Now for the game I would still say no. Hear me out I know the game is called Pokemon, but something I noticed as I played Black 2 is that...their world revolves waaaay to much around pokemon. About 85% of the people you talk to have something to say about pokemon or battling or whatever, movies are basically pokemon battles, and its been like over a decade of this game and they still never establish any sort of authority or government that is higher than the pokemon league and gyms. Who the hell keeps the order?! Lastly, nothing goes on without some sort of pokemon involvement. problems are always pokemon related. hell even human sports have something to do with pokemon. Do you know how annoyed I was when I heard that they had basketball and football just to be treated with more battles? I thought they were finally acknowledging other activities people do that dont involve glorified dog fighting. Im not saying they should undermine Pokemon and im not saying everything that involves pokemon is automatically bad but I just want to see something that has nothing to do with a pokemon journey. Even if its just there as an aesthetic background. I already gave up on the anime but I would say the only thing keeping me into this is competitive battling...and the fact that I actually like the looks of X and Y more than Black 2

Judging by the giddiness and excitement I'm experiencing in anticipation of X and Y, the answer has to be yes.

i also watched the anime ever since i was born! so yeah, i very muh love it so. i just ignore IVs and EVs cuz they are so complicated to understand

I've suspected as much, which is why I generally don't get involved with competitive. For me at least, playing any game for the sole purpose of beating other people takes the fun out of it. The trick is really just to play at a level that you find enjoyable. For example, I raise Pokemon based mostly on how fun I think they would be to play, then try them in the Battle Subway.

I would say, however, that I don't play the game as much as I used to. There's always a bit of a lull once the newness of a generation wears off, and I have other, more interesting things to do. But, I still come back to it now and again.

I usually enjoy it greatly when I first get it and complete it, but If I ever then play it again and start a new game it feels like a chore doing all of the storyline.

I lost all interest in black and white. I am pretty excited about the new games stuff too. I think redoing the 3D models for all the Pokemon will respark interest

The game is fine, but people have hacked the game messed up my love for the game.

Right now, I feel more hate than love the game. Maybe if only I don't battle or trade at all, I will love the game entirely. Argh.

Yup, still love it! Though I liked D/P/Pt/HG/SS way more then B/W, and for BW2 It's nearing equal with Gen IV.

But of anything, I'm excited for XY! It's not even out and it's probably my fave game! Fennekin, Furabebe, Fairy-Type and Pokemon-Amie? Give it to me now!

I definitely don't enjoy it as much as I did when I was a kid, but I still enjoy playing them once in a while and competetive batteling.

Im going to assume though that when X and Y comes out that might change xD

I have to say that there isn't a real answer, because I like it for different reasons now. It isn't just some cool thing to watch and play. Now it is a nice, deeply customizable RPG that is handheld so I can enjoy it anytime. The storylines are deeper and gameplay better so the games have improved plenty. I've also stopped watching the show and reading the manga, which is very good. I've also cycled in and out of the fan-sections of Pokémon which seem to (If you ignore the porn) get better.

I still enjoy the anime when it's good. Unfortunately that's something that is few and far between.

The Pokemon Adventures manga is mostly fun. I enjoy re-reading the Red, Blue and Green, the Yellow, and the Gold, Silver and Crystal storylines, and so far I am enjoying reading the Hoenn series as it comes out here in the UK. But I find the Diamond, Pearl and Platinum and the Black and White series to be a lot less enjoyable.

The games are okay for the most part, but the deeper storylines, although nice, don't really make it so that you can replay the games so... is easily the word I'm looking for? Perhaps "readily"? Yeah that's it - you can't play through repeatedly as readily as you once did. And it sort of feels like the competative battles can get too involved. It's disheartening to find after completing the HeartGold storyline that the Ursaring that you've been training ever since it was a level 22 Teddiursa, and who has helped you win many in-game battles would in fact be worthless in the competative battling arena. Then I have a choice - on the one hand I could spend hours breeding from Ursaring and hatching the resultant eggs until I get one with everything perfect, then spend hours leveling it up, teaching it exactly the same moves as everyone else teaches theirs, and then do a bit of competative battling. On the other hand, there are other franchises that I like, there are TV shows to watch, films to see, books to read, sights to be seen, I could stand to lose a couple of pounds, and I have a dog and a cat that actually give affection back..... yeah, I think I'll just stick with the standard playthrough, thanks.

When Pokémon first became a thing I was only young but I was obsessed. Around Gen III, I lost interest, but I got back into it mid-Gen IV. The last Gen was the first one I'd actually fully completed the dex since Gen I. I enjoy the games arguably even more now I've gotten into competitive play. Pokémon is definitely my guilty pleasure, but it's something I've always loved since I was a kid.

The anime is piss-poor though. Ash is extremely annoying, always helping everyone & being such a nice guy. It's irritating lol. Iris & Cilan are just as annoying too. Back when I was a kid I was big into the TGC as well, these days I only tend to care about the games, but I am more into them than I have ever been. But the anime is catered for kids so it's understandable why I don't like it anymore. But the games appeal to anyone & everyone. Even my best mate got back into the games in a big way last year, & he hasn't been into it since Gen I as a kid, which was nice because I previously had no one else to enjoy the games with.

Not quite as much now-a-days. I still buy the games and play them like crazy for a few weeks or months, but eventually I get bored of them and stop until I start up again. I like the games I just can't replay them until a few months have passed.
Back in my day there wasn't an XP bar on screen and you had to use cheats just to get the game in more then one color.

I stopped playing Pokemon from like 2004 to about last week. Lol. Almost 10 whole years. Crazy. I used to be a member of this site long ago. After I played through all the Pokemon Games up until about a year before Diamond and Pearl came out, I stopped being interested in Pokemon for whatever reason. I guess I needed to seriously grow up a little. I was 14 years old and still watching the anime (the American dub at that), as well as playing all the games, and even collecting Pokemon toys and stuff. It was bad. I got back into the games recently because I was bored and I got a DS Lite from my sister, so I am going to play through Platinum Version, as well as Black Version, so that way I can have played each generation of Pokemon so far, and hopefully get a Nintendo 3DS soon so I can get Pokemon X and Y.

Anyways, to answer this question, and what I meant in my paragraph above, is no, I am not enjoying it as much as I used to. I mean I got a Gameboy Pocket and Blue Version for Christmas when I was 8 years old, and I had all the cards, toys, etc, and watched all the episodes of the first season of Pokemon at 8-9 years old, so it's hard to be able to enjoy the new Pokemon stuff as much because that was the golden age. I liked Generation 2 and Generation 3 a lot, but I'm not liking the 4th Generation or Platinum much to be honest. Pokemon has way too much stuff going on in the games now to keep me interested. I will play through it and beat it, as well as beat Black, because a lot of people say it's amazing. I think enough Pokemon is enough honestly... Especially with all new Pokemon coming out with X and Y... And the anime is just plain stupid now IMO. Seriously, how many times can they keep reusing the same formula? Ash travels the current region, collects the badges, gets all these weak Pokemon, challenges the Pokemon League, loses, and then ''starts over'' again with a new group of people. At least introduce a new main character. The anime also never really followed the games, so that always bugged me.

I wish there was a GOOD remake of Red and Blue. I hated FireRed and LeafGreen because it totally changed up the storyline of the first games, with the whole Sevii Islands thing, as well as being able to catch Johto Pokemon, etc. I don't know why they couldn't have just made them like the originals, that way I could have it forever instead of trying to find a Red or Blue cartridge that works and saves. Also, in the US it should have been FireRed and OceanBlue, and LeafGreen for Japan. Blue was my first game and I refuse to accept LeafGreen as the remake!!! I guess I just miss the simplicity of Pokemon, where nowadays it is too much for me. Way too many Pokemon, with the IV and EV training, catching like 20 Legendaries in one game, etc. Maybe it's just Generation 4 that is making me not want to play anymore, I hope Black will change my opinion.

Honestly, I feel the anime is largely to blame for this. The whole ''kid'' image was because of Ash and his Pikachu, that attracted SO many people. If there never was a Pokemon anime, and it was just the games and the cards, it would have been no where near as popular as it was/is. Even now. Watch the anime. It feels like you are watching a cartoon made for little kids, with the way the characters talk, and just how kid friendly it is overall. Pokemon could be an AWESOME anime if it actually followed the games storyline, but it would be much darker, people would complain. The games aren't very kid friendly IMO. Pokemon can be too strategic or confusing for people, and especially the newer games.

Yes. Everything is better designed and better made than it's ever been. I think that's because the developers realise that most of their market is now older, so they have to improve the product to meet the tastes of more discerning fans.

The sevii island was part of the original plans for pokemon red and blue. They didnt have time to put it in the so they made up for it by putting it in firered and leafgreen. even so its completely separate and optional. its doesn change the story at all.

Really? I didn't know that the Sevii Islands were originally going to be part of Red and Blue. I can respect that now. I guess it just bothered me that Johto Pokemon were catchable.. I would have rather just had kept the original 150 Pokemon (151, but Mew isn't obtainable in game).

After finishing Black, I realised that I've enjoyed every Pokemon game I've ever played. I've never had a bad experience with any, so no. I intend to play Black 2 and I'm even considering getting a 3DS for the sole reason of playing X/Y.

I enjoy the games but recently when I get on the battle subway I start losing my God**** mind when I get OK'd by non super-effective and get critical hit after hit after hit. I swear I want to throw my game out the window or jump into the game walk up to my opponet and just unload my rage using my fist.

To prove my point A swanna killed my mienshao but I checked and a max natured perfect IVs in speed would not have out speed my perfect speed Mienshao.

I think I actually enjoy them more now than I did as a kid. Every new generation has improvements, and often times, changes that I enjoy. I remember when I played Blue and I wondered why the sprites looked nothing like the Pokemon on the show. Why I sometimes couldn't catch a Pokemon (my storage box was full) And how many times I got killed in Sabrina's gym because there were no dark types (And my Haunter wasn't much help).

Even with all that aside, I enjoy it much more now because of how far it's come. The first game came out when I was six, and I've had every main game so far. I basically grew up with the franchise, and I'd just feel bad abandoning it because they come up with something I don't enjoy in the game.

I've never been into the EV/IV stuff. I dont find it hard to understand, but the game is far more enjoyable without them. And the games are getting better since D/P, which was a disappointment after playing R/S/E 1,000 times.
Pokemon X and Y. That sets the tune for the next 13 games.
