Here's the Grass Starter Line:
Tenki, Tiskoon, and Kabukoon
They're based on the many stereotypes of superheroes, with Tiskoon based on western versions and Kabukoon based on more "anime" like heroes, such as the helmet of a Power Ranger.
Kabukoon's justice is so mighty that he gains a Fighting Type!
The Water Line:
Botappa, Stonappa, and Bouldappa
These guys are based on villainy and bad guys, like the ones on Saturday morning cartoons!
Stonappa's realization of its weakness made him look for a shell, and thus gained a Rock Type from then on!
And finally, the Fire Line:
Smokit, Blitzun, and Explosun
After the introduction of the Hero and Villain, this play needed a damsel in distress!
The typing is ambiguous, but I was planning to make Explosun part Light instead of part Psychic, since its based on an exorcist and if it was part Psychic it would be ironically weak to Ghost...
The designs were based on types of fog: smoke, embers, and finally wisps.
Furral and Squafro
Unlike their counterparts in the other regions, Squafro act as a leader to his Furral brethren, occasionally planning devious deeds of ration raids! This isn't really a problem, however, because they are problematically weak.
Based on squirrels and afroes, so they're pure Normal to take advantage of using Head Charge.
Kardeenal, Squirenal, and Marquinal
These birds like to strut around, feeling pompous in every which possible way. Their talent to show off in battle situations causes many watchers to get really mad, even the owner!
All are based on cardinals, another generic bird I see flying outside my house.
The whole evo line is Normal/Flying.
Dudum, Badum, and Wakadon
Every year during the last weeks of summer, Dudum and Badum beat a beat that gets everyone to celebrate the summer festival. Wakadon, during these events, walk around playing music with their various instruments to keep the mood in an elated state. It seems like every time these guys appear, everyone is happy!
This family is the first to utilize the Sound type in my Dex, because using Normal for these things is kinda getting boring.
Dudum and Badum are based on taiko drums, while Wakadon's name contains the beats used for taiko note charts,(Don for center and Kat for rim), and whack.
Sharp Sense of Defense!
Barble, Brirmble, and Regaloris
While Barble and Brirmble pig out on leaves everyday, Regaloris spend their time socializing with other species. As a defense mechanism Regaloris can stiffen the hairs and veins on its body to act as spines, while the other two evos usually just curl up and stiffen out as well.
I forgot what they were based off of, but it was a specific type of insect.
All are Bug, with Regaloris gaining a part Flying type.
Jemlit, Jemine, and Jewelloy
To hide from jewel thieves, this family hides under ground. Stupidly, they sometimes end up leaving their head of crystals exposed.
All are Rock, but Jemlit and Jemine are part Ground, while Jewelloy replaces the Ground type with Steel.
Pichee and Skreekee
Whenever a loud noise disrupts a Pichee's sleep, the Pichee awakes wailing in terror, echoing in caves. When a Skreekee hears noise however, the noise is amplified through its back structure, effectively reflecting it back at the noise-starter.
Skreekee is based on a bat mixed with a sub woofer, and the whole family is Flying/Sound.
Man's Best Friend!
Minelk and Elkler
Minelk are loyal to its owner, and seem to know the emotions he may be going through. Elkler are so loyal that it will sacrifice its life for its owner, if the chance arises. Both will run away from a bad owner, and will never forget an act of harm done to it.
Both are a mix of a dog and elk, a type of moose/deer, and are pure Grass.
The name Elkler is a combo of "elder" and "elk".
Army of Mushrooms!
Munizen, Geishroom, and Shroomtaki
Munizen set up little towns deep within the forest and live peacefully. Shroomtaki on the other hand recruit Geishroom to overtake land from neighboring enemy Shroomtaki. Wars like these are common in the forest.
Since they are mushrooms, they are all Poison with Shroomtaki being part Fighting.
Munizens name derives from "dozen/denizen" and "mushroom".
Meowler, Purrowler, and Masamunya(not shown)
Like Shroomtaki above, Masamunya lead bands of Purrowler and Meowler into towns to steal food. Since Masamunya and Shroomtaki are rivals, they are mostly seen fighting each other for food.
All are Dark type, and are based on mountain thieves and cats.
Meowler = "meow"
Purrowler = "purr"
Masamunya = "nyaa"
Shleep and Dijeerimoo
Whenever a person watches a Shleep play, the person is lulled asleep by its actions. Dijeerimoo on the other hand can emit sounds so soothing it can put a raging indian elephant to sleep.
Based on sheep and are pure Sound.
Dijeerimoo has horns that make the sound of a "didgeridoo", in which its name derives.
Remember those fake treasure chests that attacked you in a videogame? This is a Fakemon of the same concept!
Hungrin and Hungape
These vermin are so chaotic that they will eat anything and everything! So as a safety precaution, they were banished into the sewers, where they have an endless supply of trash to feed off of.
This constitutes to its Poison typing.
When a Savajaw chase food around the twisting sewers, it ends up slicing many pipes in two. Its axe-like head is so heavy that it can't properly walk on land, so it ends up walking round with its head held high like the picture above.
Paochow, Paosumo, and Paoxian
While they know many forms of ancient martial arts, they only reserve the most powerful for opponents that match its fighting power. The clothes it wears also add-on to its power prowess, such as the tendrils on a Paoxian's back acting like a 2nd set of arms!
All are pure Fighting.
Ashling, Kouleer, and Basalist
These guys live in magma pools, jumping out only to fight enemies. Basalist can expand its body to twice its size to scare off prey.
Pure Fire. Basalist's name is a mix of "basalt" and "basilisk".
They spend their time foraging for frozen foliage in the freezing forest, and escape prey by camouflaging themselves as small snow mounds. As it is naturally timid in nature, they can get provoked pretty easily.
Originally an Ice/Ground, but I don't know :P
More to come later!
