I don't think so. Caroline was on May's Tournament because May is her kid. Ash isn't.

True, didn't Oak say to Ash that he would? or am I just hopeful on that? If Delia doesn't go I'd be disappointed, Oak too.

I don't think Caroline and Norman would go, but you know it would be interesting if they did, I want to know if Gary would watch the Tournament *evil grin*

Hnn...All I really have to say is that the Pokemon looked really cute/awesome doing their appeals. And poor Harley should learn to figure out that the bad guys never win. Although I was really happy to see May get a talking-to from Drew for being so gullible as to take Harley's advice and trust him so easily. Not a bad ep.

Ahh yes but I think that's also the jealousy issues he's battling

, but it's awesome to know that Drew is siding with May, hence his anger towards her for being gullible... no I'm not a Drew/May shipper but I think it's cute!

He was honestly angry at her. He was angry at her for not thinking more about her Pokemon and just blindly taking someone's advice. Here's how it worked out:

May comes in and apologizes to Harley for not taking his advice. Drew tells her there's no need for her to apologize, because Harley's advice was just part of his strategy to defeat her. Harley admits to it, and May gets mad.
May: That...That was HORRIBLE OF YOU!
And then Harley immediately gets in her face and says, "I'M not the one at fault here." He points at May. "Because YOU were the one who didn't trust your own Pokemon, and trusted me instead."

And to confirm the truth of this, after Harley leaves, Drew criticizes May for falling so easily into Harley's trap. May protests, but Drew cuts in, REALLY ANGRY now, and yells, "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE UP TILL NOW?!" May looks stunned, and Drew calms down a bit, leaving her with one final piece of advice, "You ought to think more about your Pokemon."

You gotta give Harley some credit, he really does seem to care for Pokemon. I mean, he like loves his Cacturne and Bannette.

Thanks! I did wonder what was going on in that scene. Aw, poor May - and Drew, for that matter. He was awfully harsh, but you could kind of tell why. People who are having difficulty keeping their own emotions under control shouldn't give out advice, if you ask me.

You're welcome! Glad to have a chance to practice my Japanese listening skills, which are still pretty bad...>_<

Personally, I really like what Harley said. It's really a shove in the face of all of those May fans who are all, "ZOMG YEAH HARLEY ISH T3H SUX0RZ HES SUCH A JERK FOR TRICKIN MAY HE GOT WUT HE DISSERVED!!!111!!!1!!", because there's no way anyone can deny the truth of what Harley said: that it was May's own fault for trusting Harley instead of her own Pokemon and relying on his bad advice instead of relying on her Pokemon's abilities.

I was just scanning through pics from the episode...Mother Coordinator appeared, Eriko appeared, Norman and Harry were seen, That...girl...from the Grumpig episode, and The Phantom was seen...who was the guy next to him with purple hair? Please tell me it wasn't supposed to be his dad...

That's such a good episode..
Skitty's sppeal was awesome! Assist attack could come in real handy sometime..But when it got confused by the Petal Dance attack, I was a little worried...Luckily, May got through..And Drew, he was awesome with his Masquerain! A perfect score! Only the top coordinator could do that! But I'd give the edge to Robert..He and his Milotic scored 100 points too..o_0
As for Harley, he is so mean and despicable tricking May like that...

Overall, it's one of the best episodes ever...I give a rating 9.5/10 for the episode!!!

I'm not sure if it's his attitude or his tone, but something makes Harley a lot more menacing when he gets angry 0_0

I liked the judges' comments on Skitty's attacks. It showed that they all have different ways of judging.

The famous Assist Solarbeam appears =)

It was cool to see all of May's past rivals/friends watching her on TV. We also saw Norman with the Slakoth line is his living room. Cool

Heh, Jessie disguised as Anthony was funny =D As was Meowth's remark about Jessie using the word small.

Snorunt sneezing an Ice Beam was hilarious xD

Drew's appeal was awesome. Masquerain is probably my favorite Pokémon of his.

Again, I can't help noticing how incredibly tall Harley is in comparison to May and Drew °_°

Overall rating:
8.6 out of 10
Good character development in this episode, particularly for May. The Grand Festival is quite decent in my eyes, actually, but I, along with everyone else, wish it had been longer.

This was a really good episode. May's Skitty using Assist over and over again was foolish of May, but hey, she was tricked by Harley. I liked how Drew stood up for May when Harley tricked her. Anthony's dub voice was kind of, well, off, but I liked Swalot's appeal.

Harley called Drew, May's boyfriend

As for Harley's battle, he got what he deserved
