Since the two episodes aired back to back they kinda blurred together, but both were quite good.

Harley's appeal was excellent. Bannette is creepy, definitely the best appeal in the episode. I do like it that May was brought down to earth and only got a 79 even after all those Assists and the ice tower.

Ptttf, Drew gets a perfect score of 100? I'm thinking the judges are bias. Harley said it best about his appeal, "That's not that great."

May was so cute when she ran out on stage, awesome. Loved the scenes of the past coordinators, Savannah/Sandra, Kelly and the rest of them. Norman cameo too!

Lololololol Anthony. Shame his battle was like 3 seconds, I kinda liked him. He was funny.

89 for Jupetta-chan... Those judges are off their rockers. And again, Robert just has to have Mirokaross sparkle to get a perfect score... I love Robert, but come on. Same goes for Shuu. Jupetta-chan's appeal pwned them all. =/

I didn't like Banette's voice. Way too low for my tastes. Harley's little freak-out and "Move!" was great though.

For a dub, this one was pretty good. Not the best, but certainly not the worst.

Harley may be a liar, a sneak, full of crap, a two-face, full of himself, a jerk, good chance of being gay, and probably a porn star!

...BUT I STILL LOVE HIM...

Good episode overall. And I said it before last year and I will say it again, it was great seeing Banette. I just really didn't like it's voice all that much.

Kanata cameo!

I wonder, though...why didn't Grace get a cameo? It pains me that so much time was wasted in this episode. Tonpei is a dull character that occupies precious time that should be used for extending battles, and his plot is absolutely pointless. The really good stuff was held off until Part 3.

At least the animation wasn't as hideous as in Part 1, though Harley still looked a little off.

Trainer's Choice was actually pretty tricky for somebody who doesn't pay much attention to the games, like me. ^_^ Took me a minute to remember Flygon was part-Ground.

Banette's voice wasn't one of my favorites, but Its appeal made up for it.

I'm not quite sure If I'm going to like Glalie better than Snorunt, but the show might surprise me on that one.

Harley.... I HATE Harley to the bone. Not because he tricked May and all that, but because he acts like an idiot, dresses like an idiot, and his voice makes me want to do unpleasant things. If it wasn't for his Cacturne and Banette, I'd send hate mail....

I loved this episode

Skitty's appeal was Amazing and I loved Masquerain's appeal too!
I didn't see Harley's though T_T

I can see why Harley has so many fans....He's superbly evil,funny and awesome and his feminincy makes him an even better character!!Now he's one of my favorites.

Did anyone notice Harley didn't say Izabe contest He said:"I did it for revenge *he freaks out* for the time you beat me in the Purika convention!!"

I guess the script had a goof up. Kind of sad though =/

I believe that was the name of the city the conference was in. Izabe was the entire island that spawned the episodes between Mossdeep and Sootopolis.

May yelling at Harley, "And you dress weird!" was friggin hilarious.

I must say that 4kids did a great job with the dialouge in the entire Grand Festival. Nearly all of May/Drew/Harley and even Team Rocket's lines were brilliant.

Yeah heres an example that 4kids can actually improve over the original. I too enjoyed how well 4kids kept Harley's character and overall how they handled the May/Drew/Harley reactions in with each other. Although I didnt think there were as many contest shipping suggestions in this episode. Maybe there is a contest shipper at 4kids.

I think Harley calling Drew "May's boyfriend" was dub added. Considering May had like, zero reaction to that line, I'm pretty sure Harley didn't say that in the original.

I didn't like that line for that reason, it didn't work well with May's character. She just shrugged it off and didn't care.

This episode was pretty good. Swalot was cool. I had no idea it was goo-like like Muk. Banette was pretty awesome, too. It was so cool in battle. I'm surprised Banette never got dexed. I really thought Harley was a jerk, just like in "A Cacturne for the Worst".

Seeing Banette was cool, it's a Pokemon I like quite a bit.

Kinda weird to have Ash be in the sidelines in this final competition of the region, I guess he'll get to see how it feels to be cheering his friends on from the stadium seats. He'll get his chance soon, anyway.

Tripple the Nurse Joys, heh.

something odd thing I noticed
The three nurse joys had different colored pluses on their hats? red, yellow, and blue i think
-I thought they were all red...

good two episodes, but it was weird how anthony ended holding combuskens beak shut, it seemed like he didn't even want to win...

and on a side note why are the tv contests so different from the r/s/e game ones

Because the Contests in the games are horrible. They're just a bunch of appeals.

The writers realized that wataching Contests just for appeals would be dull, so they including battling in them. I mean really, the battles are always the most exciting parts about the Contests. I do like it that the appeals are usually creative and fun to watch too, but the battles are the main course.

Strip the fanciness(sp?) and beauty out of the Coordinator battles, and it's just a regular one. Almost the same, really (besides the appeals, of course).

A Question:

I didn't see about half of the episode, so I was wondering if, when Skitty does an Assisst and launches a solarbeam, does the anime flat out say Munchlax knows the move, or do they assume it by saying something like:"Ash:Solarbeam?I didn't know May's pokemon knew that move!"?

The group (mainly Brock and Caroline) suspect that Munchlax may possibly possess the move solarbeam. Either that or May's Bulbasaur may have that move (we only saw 3 of Bulba's moves <vine whip/petal dance/razor leaf> However it is undetermined.
