Mega Mawile, Mega Gardevoir, Azumarill and Togekiss are the only ones that are looking to be very good at this point.

Especially the first of those if its stats really are as beastly as someone claimed them to be.

I've said this before but i guess it applies here too. The fairies of this gen are amazing to me and now i know that The Fairy Royal Family (Gardevoir, Togekiss, Mawile, Florges, Valerie and Myself) is not only powerful but fabulous looking ahahahha i am soooo pumped for this game
If you are going to be two faced at least have one of them be pretty
Outstanding Beauty, Kindness, Love and the Blessings of Nature
These traits create The Fairy Queen

If I remember right Dark is more about playing/fighting dirty, rather than the actual Darkness the name suggests. That is why Fighting covers a big part of the "light" type since that is about training, dicipline and fighting with morals and justice etc.
Fairy is obvious a term like Ghost and Dragon, a term that has a really big umbrella of creatures and forms that can fall under them, it fits better (imo. atleast) since it is meant for the biggest part to be a counterpart of the Dragon type.

I always found it kind of stupid that the Dark type is called the Evil type in Japanese, considering we've got Pokemon like Absol and Pangoro that are explicitly stated to not be evil.

Dark is a far more accurate descriptor, as while they might not be the nicest Pokemon around, they're still capable of being good.

I don't really get why the Fairy type is super effective against them either way, though.

There are no such things as evil Pokémon, according to Ekans.

I'm pretty sure that same point has been brought up by at least one NPC in every single generation, too.

    Which makes it even dumber.

    Just saying.
It wasn't an example. I don't remember the moves name so I just mentioned the stuff from the trailer so you can get the picture. Marill obviously didn't "destroy" Haxorus since it's attack stat coupled with Huge Power isn't large enough to take down most fully evolved mons. Azumarill's can. And you can still keep the move after evolving your Marill and use it to it's full potential now. Since Azumarill's attack is 30 points added, and the move resulted half of Haxorus health when used by Marill, if used by Azumarill it could either:
    -1HKO normally or by crit
-Haxorus Health would end up in the lowest percentages of the red side. If Azumarill is still alive after that turn, it could just finish it off with priority Aqua Jet and such.

I kind of doubt the addition of the Fairy type is going to encourage anyone to use Whimsicott differently from before.

It just makes a little harder for Dragon types to deal with.

I'm wondering if Snorunt might be Ice/Fairy maybe once someone transfers it to Pokemon X/Y? Looks like it's not in the Kalos Dex from what I'm seeing so far. Plus it would be the first Ice/Fairy wouldn't it?

What about Plusle/Minun? Maybe their Megas be fairies too? (If they get Megas)

So hyped for Fairy Types, especially Slurpuff and Swirlix!

I think it's awesome that Pokemon so adorable can take out powerful Dragon Types.

I'm a bit annoyed with the pokemon that have been retconned to having the fairy type. All the pokemon confirmed make perfect and logical sense, but there are a few more pokemon that would suit the fairy typing, whether its a sole or dual type. Let's hope more are discovered. I don't know how many are confirmed - pretty sure they are all in my list. As soon as the Fairy type was revealed, I hypothesised a lot of the older generation pokemon.

    My FAIRY LIST

    Cleffa/Clefairy/Clefable (Fairy)
    Igglybuff/Jigglypuff/Wigglytuff (Normal/Fairy)
    Mew (Psychic/Fairy)
    Ledyba/Ledian (Bug/Fairy)
    Azurill/Marill/Azumarill (Water/Fairy - I disagree with this one!)
    Togepi/Togetic/Togekiss (Fairy then Fairy/Flying)
    Misdreavus/Mismagius (Ghost/Fairy)
    Snubbull/Granbull (Normal/Fairy)
Ralts/Kirlia/Gardevoir (Psychic/Fairy - only Gardevoir should have it)
    Volbeat/Illumise (Bug/Fairy)
    Swablu/Altaria (Dragon/Fairy)
    Lunatone/Solrock (Rock/Fairy)
    Milotic (Water/Fairy)
    Cherrim (Grass/Fairy)
    Mime. Jr/Mr. Mime (Psychic/Fairy)
    Victini (Fire/Fairy)
    Cottonee/Whimsicott (Grass/Fairy)
    Petilil/Lilligant (Grass/Fairy)
    Snorunt/Glalie (Ice/Fairy)
    Swirlix/Slurpuff (Fairy)
    Spritzee/Aromatisse (Fairy)
    Sylveon (Fairy)
    Xerneas (Fairy)

^ I heard Volbeat/Illumise remained Bug from somewhere, I could be wrong though.
