Default A New Region With Fakemon and Stuff

Hello, all! I've been trawling the art forum for a while, and I get very excited whenever I see something related to Fakemon. So, I figured, heck, I'll put my own up for people to see and stuff. So yeah. This is the Nassum region Fakedex.

For the record, I am capable of using thin lines, shading, highlighting, etc, but I wanted to give my drawings a simple, cartoony feel this time. Also, whenever I do "real" art, my pictures come out ridiculously large. I hope these ones aren't too big.

    Anyway, let's get started.

    #001- Mushlug

    Type- Grass

    Species- Fungus

    Abilities- Overgrow, Effect Spore (DW)

    Evolution- Funglaucus, Level 16

Mushlug live in damp areas, where they absorb nutrients through their skin. Their slippery, squishy bodies can slip through the tightest of spaces; or, at least, they would be able to, if not for the large mushroom sprouting from its back. This mushroom gives Mushlug a hiding spot, since it can bury its body under dirt and just leave the mushroom above ground. Since it is completely blind, the mushroom releases highly sensitive spores that allow it to sense where it is and where predators are. They feed mostly on decaying leaves.

    #002- Funglaucus

    Type- Grass

    Species- Fungus

    Abilities- Overgrow, Dry Skin (DW)

    Evolution- Aeriollusk, Level 32

Funglaucus' skin is very moist and sensitive. Direct contact to sunlight would instantly cause this Pokemon to shrivel up and die. Therefore, it rarely emerges during the day and prefers hiding in logs or under leaves. However, if forced to move during the day, its mushrooms provide shade for it; the largest one on its back protects most of its body, the twin mushrooms on Mushlug's head have fused together to make a sort of hat, and there are two mushrooms on either of its large, flat "wings."

    #003- Aeriollusk

    Type- Grass/Flying

    Species- Sky Slug

    Abilities- Overgrow, Poison Heal (DW)

Aeriollusk's arms have grown and developed into true wings, gifting this Pokemon the ability to fly. Of course, it can't fly by flapping its arms, since that would be ridiculous. So how does it take off? It will spew a trail of slippery slime that it will push itself down, slowly gaining speed, until it finally slaps its wings against the ground and jumps up- from there, it will flap its arms until it's high enough to glide around. The mushroom on its back acts as a sort of parachute, letting Aeriollusk float back down to the ground. Its large wings also allow it to glide smoothly across large bodies of water.

    #004- Embear

    Type- Fire

    Species- Flame Bear

    Abilities- Blaze, Solar Power (DW)

    Evolution- Grizzlit, Level 14

Embear live inside volcanoes, carving out caves in the sides of the rock. They live in small family groups and feed off heat energy radiating from the lava below. They actually aren't all that uncommon in the wild- it's just that the area they live in is so inaccessible, they may well be. Their seemingly soft paws conceal sharp claws, which they use to slash at foes who come too close.

    #005- Grizzlit

    Type- Fire

    Species- Flame Bear

    Abilities- Blaze, Solar Power (DW)

    Evolution- Ursolar, Level 36

Grizzlit live alone, in crags on the side of volcanoes instead on inside them. They tunnel deep enough that they can feel the heat from inside the volcano, but not deep enough to cause it to pour out. Their main food source is the Larvesta hives that live nearby. They will attack the hives and devour the spicy liquid the Larvesta create, as well as the bugs themselves. However, they are quite skittish despite their fearsome appearance and even a single Volcarona can scare them off. They absorb heat energy through the yellow patches on their fur.

    #006- Ursolar

    Type- Fire

    Species- Solar Bear

    Abilities- Blaze, Solar Power (DW)

Ursolar absorb sunlight in the ring around their neck. This ring radiates like a tiny sun, promoting nearby plant growth but parching the soil. These Pokemon work in tandem with Larvesta and Volcarona instead of just attacking them. In exchange for some of the spicy honey the Larvesta create, these Pokemon help the extremely hot pepper plants that the Larvesta feed on grow large and strong. Their presence is seen as both a blessing and a curse in farming communities- although they make plants grow large, they also dry out the ground, and the plants must be watered frequently. Ursolar will also chase away any Grizzlit that come into the farms looking for a Mareep to snack on.

    #007- Droplop

    Type- Water

    Species- Rain Cloud

    Abilities- Torrent, Moody (DW)

    Evolution- Nimburst, Level 15

These Pokemon are highly unpredictable. Although they appear cute and cuddly, they can quickly switch from friendly and happy to dangerous and aggressive. These Pokemon are a light grey usually- however, if it starts becoming a deep black, trainers are advised to recall it until in calms down. The two lightning bolts on its sides can deliver painful shocks to enemies, but are usually only used in self defense. When it zips through the air, it collects water particles and stores them in the raindrop dripping down from its body.

    #008- Nimburst

    Type- Water/Electric

    Species- Thundercloud

    Abilities- Torrent, Moody (DW)

    Evolution- Blastorm, Level 34

Nimburst are very irritable. They fly twice as fast as Droplop, but they attract even more water particles. These particles enter its body and make it very heavy, inspiring its famous temper. Their powerful lightning bolt can be hurled at opponents like a boomerang before returning to its hand. When two of these Pokemon meet, they will instantly begin fighting and will slam into each other, creating a massive boom and making a huge flare of electricity that stuns any who watch them.

    #009- Blastorm

    Type- Water/Electric

    Species- Thundercloud

    Abilities- Torrent, Moody (DW)

Blastorm view anything that moves as an enemy, hurling their massive lightning bolts at them and casting huge winds that pack the force of a hurricane. When they soar through the air, their electricity sparks up and transfers into other clouds, bringing huge lightning storms. The massive raindrops they possess are often dropped onto targets like a giant water balloon, except the water is highly pressurized and will explode the second it hits the ground. The only person these unruly Pokemon will ever obey is their trainer.

    #010- Nibbug

    Type- Bug/Normal

    Species- Fat Worm

Abilities- Gluttony, Thick Fat, Immunity (DW)

    Evolution- Gluttonug, Level 15

Nibbug, despite lacking a mouth, are constantly hungry and will eat anything they come across. They do this by oozing a powerful acid through their skin that can melt any object and turn it to a liquid state. Then, Nibbug will slurp up the liquefied material and continue on its way. These Pokemon seem to favour repulsive-smelling things for food, such as rotting carcasses, which they will scavenge readily. It is not all that uncommon to see a family of Nibbug living and feasting inside a long-dead corpse. Despite their generally negative reputation, Nibbug are an important part of the environment, as they break down rotting bodies that would otherwise host dangerous bacteria. They have built up an immunity to these bacteria over the years, allowing them to eat in peace.

    #011- Gluttonug

    Type- Bug/Normal

    Species- Fat Worm

Abilities- Gluttony, Thick Fat, Immunity (DW)

Gluttonug are considered highly dangerous Pokemon, mostly due to their ability to eat anything. Their intimidating circular jaws can grab and crush rock, which they then break down to strengthen their own defenses. They will consume anything their can fit their jaws around, be it trees, rocks, or any Pokemon too dumb, slow, or asleep to escape. If they find something that they cannot fit into their mouths, they will melt it with acidic saliva and break it down into smaller, more manageable pieces. After consuming everything in an area, it will fall over and sleep for three days before moving on to eat a new area. New trainers are advised to take caution when handling, as they will not hesitate to eat humans.

    #012- Nymble

    Type- Bug/Flying

    Species- Mystic

Abilities- Serene Grace, Limber, Speed Boost (DW)

    Evolution- Damserene, Level 15

Nymble are believed to have once been very common Pokemon, but have recently been eradicated in all but the purest parts of the world. It is believed that pollution is the reason that so many of them died out, since their delicate bodies cannot handle the toxins factories pump out. These Pokemon travel by night, gliding on cool breezes and rarely showing themselves to humans. It is believed that they rest only on the highest tree leaves when they must sleep, since that is where they're closest to the moon. As they fly, they sprinkle a glowing powder from their wings. This powder is believed to be able to grant wishes if soaked in sake. What the dust serves to a Nymble is unknown, but it may be used to heal others of their kind who have suffered severe injuries. They seem to be able to sense a person's potential, and will appear often to those pure of heart.

    #013- Damserene

    Type- Bug/Fairy

    Species- Calmness

Abilities- Serene Grace, Limber, Speed Boost (DW)

Damserene are believed my many to be but a myth, due to their vanishing rarity. These Pokemon are said to be able to produce a soporific hum from their wings that can calm anyone with violent tendencies. The dust that they produced as a Nymble is still produced, and its purpose is now revealed- when these Pokemon combine their dusts together, a bright light appears and a Nymble egg is produced from the hopes and desires of the parents. The star shape on their tail is apparently used to ward away evil- when flying, they shake their tail subtly and somehow, whenever something terrible occurs, the Damserene emerges unharmed. These Pokemon are commonly featured in fairy tales as a heroine, and their appearance at night outside windowsills are believed to signify great luck for anyone who sees them.

    #014- Squirleap

    Type- Normal

    Species- Cheek

Abilities- Pickup, Keen Eye, Run Away (DW)

    Evolution- Tuskwirrel, Lv. 20

Squirleap hop from branch to branch, collecting seeds and nuts of all shapes and sizes and storing them in their cheek pouches. These are not for eating- instead, they are used as ammo. Squirleap will furiously fire these seeds at foes, scaring them and fending them away from their actual food stores. Enemies that are not scared away by the seeds are slammed into using its thick, long tail. Squirleap use these ridiculously prehensile tails to grab branches at balance themselves when running. They mostly eat small insects and crunchy leaves, although they will consume their seeds in desperate times.

    #015- Tuskwirrel

    Type- Normal

    Species- CaveSquirrel

Abilities- Pickup, Huge Power, Sheer Force (DW)

Tuskwirrel are extremely muscled and powerful. Their tails are extremely heavy and must be held up when not running. However, these tails make an effective club, allowing them to bash opponents and cause major damage. These Pokémon live inside caves instead of trees, and exercise by heaving boulders at each other. They collect gravel inside of their cheeks at will fire these at foes instead of seeds, and this is usually more effective. They communicate with a series of hoots and grunts and are very social. Their massive tusks can rip through meat and crack bones, which is a major benefit since they need to hunt very large Pokémon to sustain their whole groups.

    #016- Turkid

    Type- Normal/Flying

    Species- Turkey

    Abilities- Harvest, Big Pecks (DW)

    Evolution- Turkrop, Lv. 16

Turkid are often trained by farmers because of their tendency to fly out over crops and collect fruits and vegetables. Five Turkid can collect all of an area’s ripe plants within five minutes, and all they ask for in return is a cob of corn to eat. They also excel at spreading seeds over large areas. Their small claws let them remove the husks from corn without damaging the vegetable inside. They are fiercely protective of the crops they harvest from, and will chase away any Murkrow or Pidgey trying to eat the vegetables. In battle, they will peck opponents furiously with their sturdy beaks.

    #017- Turkrop

    Type- Normal/Flying

    Species- Turkey

    Abilities- Harvest, Big Pecks (DW)

    Evolution- Turkopia, Lv. 28

Turkrop can collect vegetables and fruits much more efficiently than Turkid can thanks to their increased speed and dexterity. They pluck these plants with their claws and can fly carrying many at once. They can juggle the harvested plants while flying, never dropping or bruising a single one. In the wild, Turkrop have been observed pecking away at the ground and creating large, flat spaces of dirt, getting their young to spread berry seeds, and watering these fields with makeshift buckets made of entwined leaves. Then, they will harvest the berries and have a large feast.

    #018- Turkopia

    Type- Normal/Flying

    Species- Feast

    Abilities- Harvest, Big Pecks (DW)

Turkopia are kindly Pokémon that collect exotic fruits and vegetables inside their large, hollow tail. The tail swivels around a point, making sure they never drop a fruit, no matter how high they are flying. These Pokémon distribute the fruits to hungry wild Pokémon, and will deliver the seeds to farmers so that they can grow a larger variety of crops. Turkopia are seen more often in the autumn and fly great distances to collect their fruits. Turkopia also deliver these fruits and vegetables to Turkrop communities, and it is expected that Turkopia return often to the community in which they were raised.

    #019- Strawbit

    Type- Grass

    Species- Berry

    Ability- Chlorophyll, Cute Charm (DW)

    Evolution- Jamberree, high friendship

Strawbit are cheery little Pokémon, hopping around and singing to people who are lonely or sad. They live in forests where they dance and sing in small groups in sun-lit clearings. They love sunny days and when seen, make others happier as well. Strawbit’s seeds, after passing the thick outer skin, contain a sweet, nutricious juice which they drink to make themselves more active. They distribute these seeds among other small Pokémon. Despite their cheery mood, they will attack any who threaten the clearings they adore and become very distraught when clouds cover the sun.

    #020- Jamberree

    Type- Grass/Fairy

    Species- Berry

    Abilities- Chlorophyll, Cute Charm (DW)

Jamberree act as bosses of Strawbit families, conducting their daily dances and defending them in desperate times. They have a very careful and maternal temperament and will take any young, hurt, or abandoned Pokémon under their care, feeding them the juice they produce from their seeds and nursing them back to health. They are often owned by families as they can take care of sickly children and cheer them up with their songs and dances. Jamberree can also create a variety of sweet-smelling powders that have major healing properties to anyone who inhales them, bust also causes drowsiness.

    #021- Gember

    Type- Rock

    Species- Solid Sap

Abilities- Clear Body, Sturdy, Inner Focus

    Evolution- Enchamber, Lv. 26

Gember are thought to be prehistoric Pokémon who were trapped in amber thousands of years ago and entered a “dormant” phase, only reawoken recently. Gember are highly prized due to their very shiny casing and are often used as gifts to loved ones. They do not eat anything and rarely move, but when they or their owners are threatened, they can blast themselves through the air and smash their dense bodies into whatever is threatening them. Many people have tried to break the “poor” Gember out of its amber, but it seems that the amber, if anything, helps them, giving their soft, delicate bodies some much-needed protection.

    #022- Enchamber

    Type- Rock/Psychic

    Species- Sticky Sap

Abilities- Clear Body, Magic Guard, Inner Focus (DW)

Enchamber’s once rock-hard coating has melted into a thick, syrupy liquid, only held together by its latent psychic abilities. The ring encircling its torso spins rapidly and can spew thick amber onto opponents, restricting their movements and slowing them down. The amber can also be maniupulated to become solid to take an opponent’s attack. When not battling, these Pokémon enjoy performing for others, getting the four spheres of amber to nimbly swirl around each other and glitter in the sunlight. Enchamber’s orbs are also useful for trapping small insects, which make up the bulk of their diet.

    #023- Snakrush

    Type- Fighting

    Species- Constrictor

Abilities- Moxie, Shed Skin, Dry Skin (DW)

    Evolution- Cobrawl, Lv. 22

Snakrush have ridiculously powerful muscles which they use to wrap around foes and tightly bind them. This renders weaker foes helpless against them and the Snakrush can then swallow them whole. Their jaw can detach from their skulls and stretch their mouths to absurd lengths. When matched up against larger foes, Snakrush will not simply squeeze them to death; instead, it wrap itself tightly against their face and bite repeatedly, creating small punctures and causing considerable pain. They rarely live in family groups and prefer to hunt and fend for themselves; however, in leaner times, Snakrush will get together and share food stores to help the population survive. During the winter, they coil tightly upon itself and hibernate inside caves.

    #024- Cobrawl

    Type- Fighting

    Species- Tight Bind

Abilities- Moxie, Shed Skin, Dry Skin (DW)

    Evolution- Anacombat, trade

Cobrawl keep their neck frills closed up against their neck most of the time. When fighting, they use it to gain a tactical advantage; they will suddenly flare it up and startle foes, letting it wrap its long body around them and squeeze them powerfully. The large bulb on their tail conceals tiny, hardened pieces of its own shed skin, which it rattles quickly and fiercely to intimidate opponents. In battle, the use this bulb as a club, smacking foes between the eyes and leaving them dazed. Their piercing glare can unnerve foes greatly, especially when combined with the odd patterns on their frills. Like Snakrush, they live alone, but if two meet, they will get together briefly and hunt, letting them take on much larger prey.

    #025- Anacombat

    Type- Fighting

    Species- Power Bind

Abilities- Moxie, Shed Skin, Dry Skin (DW)

Anacombat lose some of the length they had as a Cobrawl but gain a massive boost in muscles, allowing it to simply crush the target and move on. These Pokémon have lost their frills, as they no longer require them- their sheer size intimidates foes perfectly fine. The bulb on their tail has matured and become much thicker and heavier, along with growing large spikes. They use this as a club, bashing foes mercilessly. Although this fighting style may seem awkward to some, remember that Anacombat evolved to fight in the jungle- this fighting style is beneficial, as it can hang down from branches and beat foes with its spiked tail. The “medallion” on its head is created by crushing metals and rare minerals together and melding them perfectly, and Anacombat often have fights over whose is the best.

    #026- Pottot

    Type- Ground

    Species- Clay Pot

Abilities- Rock Head, Battle Armor, Sturdy (DW)

    Evolution- Bariclayde, Lv. 30

Pottot are believed to have been created by an ancient society as guardians. It… didn’t go as expected. While Pottot’s clay vases are certainly resilient, unable to be dented even by a bullet, the Ground-type turned out extremely timid and shy. When in battle, they prefer to hide themselves under their lids and act as a meat shield, only attacking if the foe is weary from trying to whittle it down. Ancients had seem to have given up on using it as a wall and instead used it as ammo for their cannons. When fired, by tightly curling up, Pottot prevent any damage to themselves and their heavy bodies are perfectly capable of killing anyone they land on. When captured by a trainer, they prefer to cheer from the sidelines rather than actually participating in the battle.

    #027- Bariclayde

    Type- Ground

    Species- Pot Shield

Abilities- Rock Head, Battle Armor, Sturdy (DW)

Bariclayde are one of very few Pokémon to undergo an evolution that is not instantaneous. First, the actual creature inside will grow bigger, smashing arm and leg holes through the pot. Afterwards, the vase will suddenly grow larger and thicken, making it extremely dense. Bariclayde’s armor cannot be dented by even the most powerful attack. After evolving, these Pokémon become much braver, utilising what used to be their lid as a shield against enemy forces. They make much more effective guards than their previous evolution, as they can move around and are not afraid to risk themselves to protect others. These noble Pokémon are also suprisingly agile, allowing them to guard other, injured Bariclayde as they recover. They also have a much higher damage potential than Pottot, meaning they can storm enemy bases more effectively.

    #028- Crabstle

    Type- Water/Ground

    Species- Castle

Abilities- Sand Stream, Pickup, Hyper Cutter (DW)

    Evolution- Castacean, Lv. 32

Crabstle fashion their own homes for themselves using sand and their hollow claws. The home is typically a vaguely cone-shaped pile of sand and decorated with random items they collect on the beach. Though they are generally friendly towards one another, they will get into violent brawls with others over precious items. They collect these sparkly items to show off to potential mates, who they will spend their entire lives with. After choosing a mate, the two will carve a small hole in which they will raise their young until they can build their own homes. When they or their mates are threatened, they will blast out powerful waves of sand to ward off enemies.

    #029- Castacean

    Type- Water/Ground

    Species- Castle

Abilities- Sand Stream, Pickup, Hyper Cutter (DW)

Castacean’s home has grown much larger, allowing it to store food and water reserves it in. By scuttling across the seashore, they often come across small items they add to their castles. Like Crabstle, they use their decorations to show off to females. However, they will often attack human families for items they spy, and as such many beaches disallow shiny items being brought around in case a Castacean appears. The sand castle is densely packed, meaning it is near impossible to damage. They will also fly small flags made of sticks and leaves on top of their castles as a symbol of power and nobility. These flags are put upon by other Castacean, with varying quality depending on how they judge them.

    #030- Absoak

    Type- Water

    Species- Sponge

Abilities- Water Absorb, Filter, Storm Drain

    Evolution- Filtiki, Water Stone

Absoak normally live deep beneath the surface, but due to pollution have recently moved closer to the surface. When underwater, they swell massively and become extremely heavy, unable to move. They eat by absorbing all nearby water and pumping out any clear water through their head and arms, swallowing anything else. These Pokémon make excellent water purifiers, as they will eat any dangerous bacteria or filth and spew clean water. When they walk, the sound of sloshing water resonates from inside them. When filled with water, it is said that it is impossible to knock one of these Pokémon over. On occasion, Absoak will leave the beach and join humans in festivities, showering them with cool water sprayed from the hole on their heads.

    #031- Filtiki

    Type- Water

    Species- Sponge

Abilities- Water Absorb, Filter, Sudden Block* (DW)

*Sudden Block- Ability exclusive to Filtiki. Priority moves will never KO a Pokémon with this ability (leaves w/ 1 HP).

Filtiki are soft to the touch, but when hit by a high-speed attack, their bodies will suddenly stiffen and become harder than rock. Unlike Absoak, Filtiki are common sights on land, guarding the coastlines from dangerous Pokémon such as Sharpedo or rogue Castacean. They retain their massive absorbing potential, and will team up to sop up larger waves or dry up shallow swamps to save young people or Pokémon trapped in mud. They are often trained by lifeguards to help drowning people. Filtiki are often hailed as protectors by beachside communities, and are given food and places to live by the people. They blast out excess water from the crest upon their heads.

    #032- Sucteel

    Type- Water

    Species- Sucker

    Abilities- Suction Cups, Truant (DW)

    Evolution- Sarcabyss, Lv. 18

Sucteel are small, feeble and docile fish Pokémon who are common pets. Their round lips and calm temperament but rather boring behaviour make them useful in aquariums housing more interesting Pokémon. They feed mostly off of algae growing on the sides of rocks or glass if kept in aquariums. By pressing their tongues against a surface, it pushes out any trapped air and makes it nearly impossible to remove. Although they can be annoying to remove if you need to clean a tank, these Pokémon are pathetic in battle. With no useful techniques and the only thing it can really do being flopping around, Sucteel should never seriously be considered from battle. It’s a different story for its evolution…

    #033- Sarcabyss

    Type- Water/Dark

    Species- Devouring

    Abilities- Intimidate, Gluttony (DW)

Sarcabyss are highly dangerous oceanic predators who often bite off more than they can chew, literally. By opening their ridiculously large mouths, they can swallow anything smaller than a minivan easily. However, they often have problems when it comes to actually digesting what they’ve eaten. This is why they have developed an intensely toxic acid that coats the sides of their cheeks. This goo serves two purposes, actually; the first is to melt prey down to a manageable size, and the second is to cast a bright, multicolored glow. In the deep ocean trenches where Sarcabyss normally live, this glow attracts smaller Pokémon, which soon meet their end in a single gulp.

    #034- Octumbo

    Type- Water/Flying

    Species- Float Octo

Abilities- Water Veil, Damp, Unburden (DW)

    Evolution- Ceflapod, Lv. 28

Octumbo crawl across the sea floor, eating kelp and other sea plants. When scared or threatened, they will suddenly inflate the ring around their tentacles and blast up to the surface, away from danger. A gland inside the ring blasts helium as a response to danger, a useful trait for these Pokémon. When in the air, away from danger, the gland will stop making helium and simply let Octumbo float around. They will often hover over beaches and squirt water at young children for fun. They usually have about ten minutes until they dry out and must return to the ocean, and any Octumbo who fails to follow this will end up stranded and dry out. Thankfully, many kind-hearted people will help the floating Pokémon back to the sea.

    #035- Ceflapod

    Type- Water/Flying

    Species- Float Squid

Abilities- Water Veil, Damp, Unburden (DW)

Ceflapod spend their time floating on the surface of the ocean, gently bobbing up and down with the waves. They retain their helium gland, but it has moved to their head. By inflating their heads, they can zoom upwards quickly, where they can spread their tentacles which have a thin webbing and push themselves through the air. Their massive ear flaps beat rapidly to create large gusts of wind that can blow over houses. Though not malicious in nature, these Pokémon often accidentally damage boats or houses which their large size and powerful Hurricane attacks. When threatened, Ceflapod with spew an inky gas from their mouths that can blind and choke enemies.

    #036- Dummeow

    Type- Normal

    Species- Goofball

Abilities- Klutz, Simple, Own Tempo (DW)

    Evolution- Doofeline, Lv. 25

Dummeow are a harmless if dim-witted species. It is currently unknown whether their thought processes are simply too absurd for humans to understand or if they are simply stupid. Although their low intelligence often causes them to harm themselves in the wild, they have exceptional defenses and seem not to notice any damage done to themselves, even falling off a cliff. Unfortunately, their docile nature and slow wits make them an easy meal for predators. However, it seems Dummeow release an odd gas at the moment of death, which causes whatever ate it to become oblivious to anything around it, and turning it into a sitting duck for other, larger predators, which has made Dummeow an undesirable meal for most Pokémon.

    #037- Doofeline

    Type- Normal

    Species- Goofball

Abilities- Klutz, Simple, Own Tempo (DW)

Doofeline, although evolved, are just as slow-witted as their pre-evolution. Commonly kept as house pets due to their calm temperaments and general affection, these Pokémon are very difficult to train as it takes a long time to teach them to recognize a basic command, much less an attack. Those that manage to train a Doofeline will be rewarded greatly, however, as they are very powerful and can shrug off most attacks. It seems that these Pokémon appear more often to those who often question the world around them, including a great majority of famous philosophers. Ironically, it seems that simply being around a Doofeline can result in sudden epiphanies and many people have said that after meeting with a Doofeline, they usually realize the answer to a burning question.

    #038- Aerogami

    Type- Flying

    Species- Folded

Abilities- Unburden, Speed Boost, Sniper (DW)

Evolution- Eaglegami, level 34 w/ Paper Cut*

*Paper Cut- a move exclusive to Aerogami and Eaglegami. Flying type, 95 BP, 10 PP, 100 accuracy. High critical hit rate.

Aerogami are very speedy Pokémon, zipping through the air and using their ultra-thin wings to slash at foes. Believed to have originated from a paper airplane that flew away from its owner and gained a mind of its own, these Pokémon glide on strong breezes and can make sharp turns. Due to their light weight, even a small gust of wind can blow them away; this, combined with the fact that fighting in rain weighs them down and cripples their flying ability, means that Aerogami are pretty much incapable of fighting in a storm and will hide deep in caves until it passes. Aerogami are quite affectionate but can unintentionally harm their owners due to their razor-sharp wings.

    #039- Eaglegami

    Type- Flying

    Species- Glider

Abilities- Unburden, Speed Boost, Super Luck (DW)

Eaglegami are not sturdy at all and can be felled by the weakest of attacks, but are ludicrously fast, and were used often in wars as messengers. Due to gaining actual limbs, they can deliver packages or scrolls to allies. Their aerodynamic build lets them soar at ridiculous speeds, and they can fold themselves into tiny, compact squares to hide from foes. Their sharp beaks let them peck furiously at foes and can rip through thin defenses like scales. Unlike Aerogami, Eaglegami can fly of their own accord, and are not influenced too heavily by winds. They live in large groups and regularly preen each others feathers to keep them sharp, never reaching more than an atom in width. Although they must be honed almost constantly, a well trained Eaglegami can slash a diamond in two.

    #040- Deserdon

    Type- Ground

    Species- Sand Fin

Abilities- Sand Rush, Intimidate, Rough Skin (DW)

    Evolution- Sandaphos, Lv. 22

Deserdon originate from the Goldsun Desert but have recently migrated north. They are believed to have done this because of the mass amounts of lush foliage that they eat, which are quite lacking in the desert but common elsewhere. These aggressive Pokémon have grown sharp, durable teeth that can pierce steel, believed to have been developed to deal with the tough desert foliage. Living in large packs, they can take down prey as large as a Darmanitan, and are traditionally led by the Deserdon with the largest sail fin. When engaged in territorial disputes, they will ram heads viciously and bite at each other with their razor-sharp teeth, although this is rarely successful due to their thick skin.

    #041- Sandaphos

    Type- Ground

    Species- Sand Fin

Abilities- Sand Rush, Intimidate, Rough Skin (DW)

Sandaphos still live in deserts, unlike their pre-evolution. Their digestive systems have adapted to the low plant life and they now gain most of their energy from solar rays that they catch in their sail. Growing thick spines across their bodies help defend them from opponent Sandaphos, since these Pokémon are constantly bickering and trying to lead their pack. These Pokémon create small dust devils that surround their packs to conceal themselves from enemy eyes, but since their dust devils last for a very short time, they have adapted to run exceptionally fast when surrounded by rushing sand. They can also fire their spines at foes, although this is usually a last-ditch measure.

    #042- Dimeterain

    Type- Ground

    Species- Spine Lizard

Abilities- Sand Rush, Intimidate, Rough Skin (DW)

Dimeterain live alone, in the furthest corners of deserts, where they spend their time buried half-underground, absorbing solar energy. These Pokémon prefer to avoid contact with others and will only emerge if forced. Despite their generally aloof nature, these Pokémon are extremely hostile towards any humans attempting to build or colonize an area in which they live. When this occurs, it is not uncommon for these Pokémon to go on destructive rampages and destroy any buildings in the area, not to mention terrorizing the workers. To intimidate others, they will raise their tail up high and roar, as illustrated above.

    #043- Buckarat

    Type- Dark

    Species- Bandit

    Abilities- Pickpocket, Hustle (DW)

    Evolution- Desperoden, Lv. 29

Buckarat live in packs of four. Highly adaptable, they will quickly infiltrate any area that takes their liking, and harass the local Pokémon. More bratty than anything, they tend to challenge foes very quickly and behave rather rashly. However, if isolated, they will scurry away into hiding, as they find safety only in numbers. They use their twirled tails that latch onto other Pokémon and ride them. While normally this would be little more than an annoyance, it seems that when trapped, the Pokémon is inexplicably controlled and forced to do the Buckarat’s bidding. When manipulating a larger Pokémon, these Dark-types are extremely dangerous- for skilled trainers, exercise extreme caution when approaching, or they may trap one of your Pokémon.

    #044- Desperoden

    Type- Dark

    Species- Bandit

    Abilities- Pickpocket, Hustle (DW)

Desperoden are much more independent than Buckarat, and love to take on strong opponents just to prove they can overpower them. They will often capture larger Pokémon such as Deserdon or Doofeline and ride them around, often using them as meat shields when forced into battle. They have no perception of fair fighting, and will call upon any other Desperoden in the area to fight when the odds are against them. They will often attack wandering trainers and steal their items before scattering them about their homes to lure in more trainers, who they will then steal items from, et cetera. They use their wide-brimmed hats which are woven from dried grass to protect themselves from bright sun.

Heh, thanks. I... don't really remember what my thought process was when I came up with that one. I think it was something like, "slugs live in damp places, and so do mushrooms, so let's put a mushroom on a slug, but a Glaucus Atlanticus slug because those are the best kind, and hey those flippers look like wings, I'll make it a Flying type too." So... yeah.

Also, updated with numbers 10-13, the regional bug lines. Meet Nibbug, Gluttonug, Nymble, and Dragonflee!

Like NightKrazy I really like your slug line. I find it very creative (Although Mushrooms aren't plants, it isn't that important. Paras and Shroomish are Grass anyway too)
However the landing'shrooms are bothering my a little,as they are all at the same line as the body's lineart. This makes it look like they are only on the hidden side of the body, or just odd.

I would also suggest changing Ursolar's main color, as brown makes it look somewhat of a regular bear with paintings, maybe black as the sun bear?

Anyway keep up the good work.

Thanks! Yeah, I know mushrooms aren't technically plants, but Grass still makes the most sense for a mushroom Pokemon. Besides, Pokemon doesn't really care about whether their typings really fit the actual animal (example- Cradily being a Grass-type, even though it's just a plant-like animal).

About Aeriollusk's mushrooms... I would if I could but I can't so I shan't. I tried designing it with some of the stalks on the visible side, but it just looked odd and weird to me. And as for Ursolar, I think a lighter brown suits it better- I was going for a "warm" aesthetic, and I fear a darker brown or a black could ruin that.

Also, since I have so much free time, I have another update- numbers 14 and 15, Squirleap and Tuskwirrel, the regional rodents!

EDIT: Putting this here because I can't double-post, but I've done a huge update containing numbers 16-22! The regional birds are Turkid, Turkrop, and Turkopia, plus two amber creatures, Gember and Enchamber, as well as my first Fairies, Strawbit and Jamberree!

EDIT2: As you can see from my signature, I've decided on a name for the region- Nassum.

Thanks! For the Turkid line, I wanted to make it more than "just another Pidgey." At first, I thought I could get away with it by just basing it on a weird bird like the cassowary, but it really didn't work out, so I looked for something I could add to the birds. I think I succeeded, but that's for you guys to judge.

And as for Mushlug, I really did not expect it to get as much praise as it did- I really thought Embear and Droplop would be more popular. I guess that just means more people prefer weird, creative designs than standard ones. I will keep this in mind.

Also, updated the OP- added my token-Machop-line, Snakrush, Cobrawl, and Anacombat, as well as two Ground-types, Pottot and Bariclayde!

No comments? I am dissappoint. well it's the art forum what did i expect

Anyway, updated the OP with a smorgasbord of Water-types. Just so you guys know, I already have a map of Nassum planned in my head, so I'm making the Pokedex in the order that you'd find them. The first gym town is connected to the south by a beach route, and also where you get your first rod, hence all the Water Pokemon.

And if anyone's wondering, yes, Sucteel and Sarcabyss are my Magikarp-Gyarados thingy.

Hmmm...I have a number of criticisms and comments, just take what you want from these.

    - I really like the Slug and Turkey lines, especially the first slug and all three turkeys, although I'd remove the "landing mushrooms"

    - I also like the premise of the Gulper Eel, Cloud, and Solar Bear lines, though the art...I'll reserve judgement until if/when any updated art comes out (and you're certainly a better artist than me )

    - I like the clay soldiers too, but I think the head of Bariclayde should still have a pot covering of some sort (and maybe give him a clay sword too)

    - Some of these seem too similar to real ones, such as the name Embear, the color scheme of the mushrooms (which I like but they match Paras/Parasect's), the Sucteel resemblance to Stunfisk and especially the sand castle crabs

-If you're going for a Pokedex style info entry, you may want to condense your descriptions and reword them since some of them don't sound much like the Pokedex ones (if you're not going for a Pokedex-style entry never mind)

-Original ideas I like: Gulper Eel, Solar Bear, Mushroom Slug, Cloud, Sponge, Clay Soldier, Turkey, and Fighting Snake (I don't necessarily like the Pokemon but I like the ides-I could never like a Sponge Pokemon but I like the original idea)

    Favorite Pokemon: Anacombat
    Best Design: Mushslug/Pottot/Turkid/Turkrop
    Least Favorite: Jamberee/Strawbit
    Worst Design: Blastorm/Strawbit/Dragonflee/Ceflapod

-Dragonflee is my least favorite premise as it doesn't make much sense and we've already had a dragonfly line that I'll admit I like considerably better

-Just wanted to point out Strawbit looks like a pink Seedot without the large eyes and with a green beret instead of a hard top, and I think it would look better if it were a bit more like a strawberry

-Finally I'll apologize for the long post and say kudos to you for doing these in the first place (and placing them up here despite fools like myself degrading some of them )

Yay, a long review! I'll take these on point by point.

    - Yeah, I updated the art and took those out. They looked pretty awkward to me after looking for a while.

    - Just clarification- assuming Sarcabyss is the gulper eel- he's actually based on a sarcastic fringehead, thus the name, and why he looks so crazy. Look 'em up, they're really neat. We've already had a gulper eel too, Huntail!

    - Well, I considered giving Bariclayde a lid too, but the point there is that Pottot is timid and wants to hide away, but Bariclayde is brave and isn't afraid to take things head-on, thus the lack of need for a lid. Also, I didn't give Bariclayde a sword because they're guardians first and foremost, protecting allies as they attack; attacking with a clay sword, while it would be undeniably awesome, doesn't really fit in with their general idea.

    - Yeah, Emboar and Embear sound pretty similar, but I really couldn't think of anything better. Reddish- orange mushrooms are really the most natural mushroom color, and although it matches Paras and Parasect's, I think it's still okay. Assuming you think Crabstle is too similar to Dwebble... I think a Water/Ground sand castle crab and a Rock/Bug desert crab are different enough to warrant seperate Pokemon, but that's just me.

    - I'm not trying a Pokedex info entry. Pokedex entries to me have never given enough info.

    - Actually, I've seen quite a few sponges and clouds, but other than that, yeah, most of them are pretty unique.

    - Heh. I'm mildly surprised at your list. I thought Anacombat would be more or less ignored, and other than Blastorm, who I will most likely redesign at some point, I'm really fond of the ones on your Worst Design list!

    - Well, two things about Dragonflee. One- it's actually based more on damselflies than dragonflies, although I could have done more to show that and naming it Dragonflee probably didn't help. Two- it's concept was actually not "something that likes to run away." It was "something speedy and thin." They're opposites to the bulky and slow Nibbug and Gluttonug; the fleeing thing just sorta happened. So here's what I'll do. I'll keep Nymble's current design, because I rather like it, but other than that, I'll do a complete overhaul- their info will be changed, I'll make its evo more damselfly-esque, and I might make them Bug/Fairy.

    - I could have done more to make Strawbit more like a strawberry, true. I'll probably redesign him at some point with the Droplop line and Sucteel.

    - Hey, it's fine! I'm glad you took the time to write this all out!

Added #036-039, Dummeow, Doofeline, Aerogami, and Eaglegami. The reason I haven't been doing daily updates like I have been doing lately is because I'm storing designs for the winter- er, the school season. I won't have as much time to draw, so I'm trying to space them out more.

To be honest, I actually truly liked these designs!
Alot of them keep to the wacky and fun spirit of the classic Pokemon games, and so far my favorite has to be Filtiki. It just has that charm that you can't deny XD
Many creative ones include the Turkey's, the Grass Starter, and the idea for the Solar Bear.

I've don't really have anything else to say beyond how you drew them, since it was what you were aiming for. Nice work!

Also, like ib4 said, the Jamboree line is really different. It's kinda like you were aiming for how petite it looks, but now it looks kinda TOO simplistic. Either way, it was pretty creative!

When I said too simplistic, I meant that some of your fakes, such as Jamboree, has a very creative design, yet the only appealing aspect is the creativeness.
Take Strawbit for example. It's unique because it's never been thought of before. A strawberry Pokemon? Never heard of it
But that is literally what it is. It's more or less just a strawberry with limbs attached, with a few details here and there. This is actually more evident with your recent addition, the Dimetrodon Fake. It's a new and fresh idea, and I freaking love Dimetrodons. But it literally is JUST that. It has no appealing features about itself other than the design idea. If I googled "cartoon Dimetrodons", I bet there would be some that would look alot like yours.

Maybe if you design them around a certain aspect, instead of it's literal aspect, you could play around with more ways to make them. Like your Grass Starter for example, which is a mushroom and slug in it's "literal" look. But go deeper, and it can represent a slew of things, like mold, flying fungus, and probably more

Now, I wouldn't say you should change what you have now, because they are indeed still great designs to boot!

    1. Forgot about Huntail

    2. Idk I just thought maybe a helmet or something would look neat on Bariclayde

    3. Ever heard of a discontinued Iphone app called Geomon? It seemed like the crab was a combination of Crustle and the sand castle crab from that. I suppose they're fairly different...

    4. When I say original I mean in context to the established real Pokemon, not other Fakemon

    5. I just thought Ceflapod was awkwardly designed and same with Jamberee (it looks like it has a green canoe or bean pod sleeve on its back)

    6. I think the redesign of the damselfly family makes much more sense (still not a fan of it but that's my own preference in Pokemon, not you-I think the design fits better and is more skillfully done). I did think it seemed more damselfly than dragonfly but yeah the name made me think it was supposed to be a dragonfly

    7. I like the new origami and dimetrodon-based lines a lot. Nice job!

Like your Grass Starter for example, which is a mushroom and slug in it's "literal" look. But go deeper, and it can represent a slew of things, like mold, flying fungus, and probably more

Now, I wouldn't say you should change what you have now, because they are indeed still great designs to boot!
Ah, okay, now I get it. Thank you. And trust me, I was THIS close to turning Dimeterain into a Ground/Poison type and playing up the horned lizard aspects more (yes, that's what I was going for with the spikes) and letting it shoot toxic chemicals from its eyes, but honestly I need more single-types Pokemon, since I have the enitre dex already planned out. I'm working on a redux of Strawbit and Jamberree, and hopefully they'll be more liked.

Also, I feel I should mention that Jamberree was the Pokemon that inspired this entire thing. So, um, yeah.

Nice job!
    1. It's alright, Clamperl's kinda forgettable.

    2. Well, I'm not denying it would look awesome, but it's not really the aesthetic I was going for.

    3. Er... nope, I have no clue what that is. Oh well. Maybe it has to do with the fact I never owned an iPhone? Eh.

    4. Oh, okay. Thanks!

    5. Well, I guess that Ceflapod looks a bit odd, but I really like it, so I think I'll keep it as is. I'll redo Jamberree though.

    6. Thanks, and yeah, Dragonflee was not one of my better names.

    7. Thanks a lot!

Alright, time to meet a new line- the Dark-type mice Buckarat and Desperoden!
I have discovered what a signature is.

This is Bidoof. Many people loathe it with their lives. If you are of the few people who love this little beaver, put this in your sig. Started by Warrior Scolipede

I've claimed Castform. It will never rain on my parade.
