Assuming it's done properly, that shouldn't be a worry. e.g. the NHS allocates 60% of its budget (of roughly 135 billion pounds, based on the most recent numbers I have) to pay its workers. I actually looked that up because I was curious about how much money gets allocated to paying people who work in single payer systems.

Granted, general practitioners in England (as of 2009) make less than their counterparts in America, but they also pay noticeably less for their educations. Again, somebody with some sense working on this project can set this up to account for it e.g. by taxing churches? and, hopefully, someone can push through bills to alleviate college tuition/forgive some or all college debt.

It's way easier than getting in touch with me on here.

But despite the bipartisan support, I don't think this is going to happen in this century. I believe US health care will continue to be a sham for the foreseeable future. And if there is a successful proposal, there is going to some backdoor privatization involved like in UK.

Thankfully in Turkey neither private or public health care is this scammy. It is stuck just in the early 20th century.
I mean the socialism aspect is a little exaggeration, but there's no way to go more conservative with healthcare in America without people dying.

But I think you'll see it sooner than that, if only because the GOP messed this up so bad it's in the public's eye a little more now.

Well, Vermont had to back down from single payer bill because it would destroy small businesses there, and most legal marijuana states are focused on reviving public schooling. Since income tax(and overall tax) is relatively high already that's probably a no go, and going after tax evasion is rather taxing(haha, puns).

I guess easiest way would be to raise the taxes to post-war standards if we are going to keep the current political and economical structure, but I doubt the current US economy would survive that without a massive crash.

Weird how black athletes get harsher words than North Korea, Nazis, and ISIS.
