Starters that all gain a secondary type in middle or fully evolved stage.

I won't no type combination repeats from the previous Gen and, of course, no Fire/Fighting... Never again...

    I only hope 3 things:

1 - That it gets a clean design, without too much going on to the point of not knowing what is his mouth and what is his eye.

2 - That it gets unique type combinations. No more Fire/Fighting, please.

3 - That it doesn't look completely different in his final evolution.

I am thinking the idea of having different types than water/fire/grass all together would be really refreshing, although that is a huge part of the starters.
Or as someone said, only the water/fire/grass typings coming out at the fully evolved form, that would also be quite refreshing.

I'd love it if they used animals such as the pudu, a woodpecker, a hummingbird, a rabbit, a hamster, or a dolphin, or even a snake!

I'd also like it if they had a fire/fairy type.

I wouldn't mind if they broke the fire, grass, water cycle.

The fire type should be a horse, ox, snake, rabbit, tiger, or sheep.

I wouldn't mind as well, except if Nintendo's twitter account is anything to go by, Sun/Moon is still going with Grass/Fire/Water

Since Grass starters stick to prehistoric creatures, I'd love a prehistoric bird, which would give us a Grass/Flying <3

I'm calling a split evolution for the final starters May not happen, but I'm predicting. It could be as crazy as giving two completely different secondary typings, or just a subtle aestetic and stat change but definitely a way to refresh the system.

If that were ever to happen, I think that could blow open the doors to give every past starter an eventual split evolution as well. ("Omg Gen 8 Sinnoh remake give us Sinnoh starter split evolutions plz")

I'd like a grass bird as well. It would fit great in a team with Blaziken and Empoleon.

I hope they continue with giving every starter a secondary type, at least in its final evolution. They shouldn't repeat any previously done combo in the starters (fire/fighting, I'm looking at you!)

Right now all I'm asking for are some good designs and at least one unique typing between them/their evolutions. I do tend to pick the water type starter a lot, so of course I want that one to be good.
I can't help but feel like they're going to try to sneak in one with a fairy typing, and it's going to have to be really good for me to shake the feeling that it's only there to plug the new type more.

I never counted piplup as one of them.

    - Oshawott (Water)
    - Chespin (Grass)
    - I won't be surprised if 7th gen has a fire version...

As with every gen, new(or uncommon) type combos would be welcome! I hope they keep with partial reverse triangles for secondary typing. I really like the South American theme that some have brought up, so here are my thoughts:

Grass/Elec: fast and agile Jaguar warrior
    - something other than rotom mow
    - follows Chesnaught as another grass Mammal, but stats allow for mixed attacking
    - Combines wood hammer/wild charge with synthesis and t-wave spreading

Water/Poison: a ghoulish looking river dolphin
    - poison typing brings in some commentary on pollution in the Amazon
    - fast, but defensive, making good use of stat boosters and status.
-it's a solid typing that could use some new mons other than Tenticruel and Qwilfish.

    Fire/Ground: armadillo with a jetpack
    - kinda steps on Sandshrew's toes, but I just like the idea
    - balanced stats, much faster than Camerupt.
    - signature move would be a fire-type Dig where it blasts up out of the ground.

Definitely like the idea of a grass electric typing

And a dolphin would be great no matter the second typing. Not personally a fan of a ground fire armadillo, but that's just me. It is certainly very creative and sounds like starter material.

I really hope we get a Grass-type reptile starter this time. Why did Chespin have to ruin the pattern?

Oh Fire/Electirc and Grass/Electric - how criminally underused you are. No seriously i would like to see a Fire/Electric, Grass/Fire and Water/Ground despite being overused be the new combination for the next gen

Since I dont see the cycle breaking, I'd like to see some new combos for the starters too. Honestly, I love the ideas Tiptop already mentioned like the Electric Jaguar (that sounds epic!) and the Poisonous Dolphin (again, awesome!). At the same time, I have really been hoping for some kind of Fire/Poison type for awhile. Like the smoke produced by the fire pokemon is toxic and it just exhales a purple haze or something; like a Fiery Gila Monster. Also, as for Grass, since the the reptile grass chain has been broken, maybe its time for a Moose. If they do decide to return to grassy reptiles, though, maybe a gator of some kind. I think all we really have in that department is a water gator and a sand gator (not that they arent awesome; I love both those pokemon).

I want a Wolf which I think could work well with any Type.

    Snake/Cobra-Fire/Poison or Fire/Psychic

    Dolphin-Water/Psychic

Since fire starters seem to follow the chinese zodiac, I'd really wish for a fire tiger as a starter.
It would be also cool to give it the electric type as a secondary typing.
As for the other two, I really don't know what to expect....
I just hope that their typing won't be disappointing and that they will give some unique combinations!
