It looks nothing like one (the name is a Japanese onomatopoeia for an electrical "sparkling" noise and likely just coincidentally sounds like the animal). If any pokémon can be called a pika pokémon, it'd be nidoran, the female version resembling a rabbit with ears like a mouse, which is pretty much how a pika looks.

A kinkajou might make for an interesting Pokemon.

It is? That changes everything for me! But I'd love to see a fire bellied toad, and an orca that isn't a legendary. Also would love to see a stellar sea eagle and a different type of culture.

Actually, I thought about retooling swablu as a fairy bluebird. Flying/ fairy. Don't know what the heck altaria's supposed to be, though.

Well, that would make Lillipup more interesting.

There's no snow leopard. I think it would be a cool Ice type. Pun unintended. A Pokemon based on the red fox would be nice as well.

What kind of fox would you say vulpix resembles instead?

I meant the English red fox. Vulpix is a kitsune which is completely different.

God forbid there be a Pokemon that looks like a cockroach.

We haven't had a wombat yet. It could be the early obtainable normal type (like Rattata, Bidoof, and Patrat) if they ever base a region on Australia.

If we're going to Australia, a definitive platypus would be nice.
