Team Rocket seems a lot better with just James and Meowth, maybe they should ditch Jessie.

There are some things I noticed;
Squirtle seemed to gain a crush on Espeon.
Cacnea seems as if it doesn't like anyone but James.
And one thing, where'd that Scizor come from? Did it belong to Nurse Joy?
Check the character bios, it's Joy's. What better Pokemon to amputate limbs with?
Harley on both sides of the Pacific this week. Though I loved how May was too stupid realize she'd have to register. Ash could have told her everytime he went to another region he had to register for the regional leagues. Why would contests be any different?
At least we she short haired Jessie and I believe she should have kept it that way.
Some people don't think it's funny that Exit 69 gets off on Big Beaver.
"A Saffron Con" was a good episode, seeing as how this is the first Kanto Contest. Interesting that May and Jessie had to get Kanto Contest passes, as their Hoenn ones wouldn't work here.
Lilian has a deep voice, I liked Vivians voice better. Her appeal with Espeon was pretty cool.
And yes, Harley. Third time he tricks May and nearly gets her to miss the Contest. I thought it was hilarious the way Harley smacked Max on the head, LOL!
Jessie/Cacnea scenes were funny, especially when the Scizor came to cut her hair. It is a little annoying that Squirtle learned Ice beam out of nowhere, but oh well, I guess they didn't want to repeat what they did with Snorunt.
Only two episodes left in the season!
This was a good episode.
Up until Harley came out with Haruka's Pokemon, it didn't really keep my attention much, but seeing Harley made it more interesting.
When Harley smacked Max, I laughed out loud, it really funny. I liked the " Yeah, right" expressions they had on their face, when Harley mentioned something to them.
Cacnea getting tangled up in Jessie's hair was hilarious, I'm surprised she didn't think it might get tangled in her, but I guess she was to worried about it messing up her face.
* Sigh* I really just rolled my eyes when Squirtle learned Ice Beam, and then Brock's speech about how it learned Ice Beam for Haruka to thank her, blah, blah...really annoyed me, I have no clue why, I just rolled my eyes, thinking please just finish your speech.
Overall, it was a good episode, Harley was what really kept my attention though the entire thing, I can't wait to see the next ep.

I don't see why not. You at the episodes between the Facotry and Saffron. They could have replaced a couple of them with episodes of Squirtle learning and mastering Ice Beam. At least it wouldn't be as cheap. Though the cheapest part is that the recoil shows up for one episode because it gives May an advantage. Though that's for my rant on the next episode. Best. Trainer's Choice. Ever.
Seriously, I didn't even know the answer to that. Too bad that they finally got good with only two episodes left in 4Kids' run. Speaking of which, I hope PUSA handles Harley well. 4Kids actually got him down to a peg by some miracle.
Thank you for all the fantastic times, Serebii Forums!
So did I(I guessed Regirock)...;_; This has got to be the first quiz I legitimately got wrong--nice work, 4Kids.Seriously, they need Trainer's Choice to be like this week's (and the Hoenn fossil Pokemon ep's) more often. I actually got it wrong!

That squirtle was so awsomw and adorable, but then again I just love water Pokemon
Big Thanks to RainbowIslands
I just saw this episode and I liked it, I had it RAW in japanese and I'm glad I can finally understand whats going on.
Zenigame and Ice beam, the first installment of Uber-Zenigame.
I also realized that this may be the last time we hear this voice for Harley..;-;...Or even have a male Harley at all =/ (We don't know what PUSA will do to out beloved campy coordinator ><)
Musashi's haircut...LOL thats all I can say
So far, Yay for Kanto Contests <3
8.5/10
EDIT: The Trainers choice...You really had to pay attention to the games, I thought it was Regice.

Watch out kids...He's coming for you!
Well, thanks to being on vacation this week, I actually got to see Pokemon as it aired (apart from Chronicles). Hallelujah.I've been eagerly anticipating this episode since I first saw the episode pictures, and I definitely wasn't disappointed on the Jessie front. I did think May got in cheap (I'm not commenting on the ice beam issue, I bet Squirtle was bred with it), and Harley is quickly sinking down to my least favorite Pokemon character, but at least everything else I liked. My two cents:
-- Wow, the first motto 2.0 solo motto (yes, I call it that even if Meowth is involved). Cool.It did seem really awkward as compared to the older motto when it's just Meowth and Jessie or James doing it, but then again this motto is brand-new, so I'm not too surprised that it didn't flow as easily. LOL when the twerps thought Jessie was fired.
-- I LOVED Jessie's haircut for this two-parter.It really looks good on her. I really wish they had kept it past the Saffron contest two-parter. At least they did the right thing by ending the season with this two-part episode, so it'll be like her hair grew back naturally by the dojo episode in August/September, unlike when her hair grew right back in one episode or in one scene.
-- I loved Cacnea in this episode. It was so cute how it only wanted to hug James, and reluctantly went to hug Jessie, then got tangled in her hair. LOLBravo for good thinking on Team Rocket's part, that a bond between a pokemon and trainer can earn extra points.
-- I liked Jessie freaking out when told she'd be heading for the operating room, and when she'd have to get her hair cut. LOL
-- I don't like Harley. Period. I'll move on.
-- I really liked Lillian. At least she has more of a personality than Vivian.
-- Despite the ice beam thing, Squirtle was awfully cute in this episode.I liked when May showed her pokemon the arena, and Munchlax and Squirtle were just bored. LOL
Overall, 8/10. They really should have kept the haircut.

Currently hunting/MM'ing:
I hate chaining. -_-
But the last eposide of the 4Kids's Pokemon is "The Dojo" eposide. Taj
takes over with the "Pyshic/Ghost" eposide.
Logging off,
Dr. Thiiinker
I've stopped watching this for about a month. I know what happens so i don't care about fillers or contests anymore. I am going to watch it next week though, I can't miss the infamous Squirtle incident!
Sigh, there's some japanese contest music on one of these episodes, i think it was the second part. I wish they wouldn't take it off. It sounded really good in the japanese version. Squirtle easily learns ice beam without any practice, isn't an ice type, and ash had to work hard for his ice type snorunt to learn it, and didn't master it until evolution. And it doesn't look like squirtle's gonna evolve any time soon, weird but okay.
Funny, Harley was able to trick May yet again. Max was the smart one as usual, and him getting smacked by Harley was just XD. Ariados with him suits him well I'd say.
I like Lillian to, of course she stands out more than her sister Vivian because she has her own pokemon, and she is just out there you know. She's awesome, and I didn't even know Brock was interested in vivian. Wow. 4Kids only has a couple episode left this seeason? When's the last one? Pokemon Battle frontier will be on cartoon network???
The episode is a bit weak because of the following problems:
- May's Squirtle
- James and Meowth making fools of themselves
- Jessie bragging about being a "top coordinator"
Nothing else.
First a few good points for seeing Espeon. Second I liked where they said they had to operate on Jessie and Cancea. I think Cacnea either has real trust in James or has a crush on him.

Sorry.. hate me all you want but I love May's Squirtle!
Great episode, I could go on but everyone pretty much covered the good parts already..
But I guessed Regice for the TC.. that indeed was a good one.
Yeah, the trainer's choice was hard this time, cause you had to remember it from the games, but I actually guessed it right. Lucky me and registeel.
I could not agree more. I love that Zenigame (not it's english voice...actually the PUSA English voice was good)Originally Posted by halloweenghost

So Squirtle either easily learned Ice Beam or knew it all along. Big deal, I really don't see the problem here. Everyone quickly forgets that Ash's Torkoal already knew Overheat when captured. Everyone quickly forgets about Brock's impossible Water Gun/Razor Leaf Ludicolo. Everyone quickly forgets that Ash's Chikorita already knew Vine Whip, a breeding move, when captured. Everyone quickly forgets about Spoiler:
We all know that Snorunt had trouble with Ice Beam and Pikachu took a while to master Iron Tail. That should lead anyone to one obvious conclusion: Pokemon learn at different speeds, just like humans. You've probably had classmates that have found a certain subject to just come naturally to them and had a seemingly easy time in that class, while you yourself have struggled, or the other way around. The same can apply to Pokemon.
