Official Stadium 2 Shiny Discussion

Are you sure that's not just a general stadium difference? If you look at a lot of different non-shiny specimen of the same species, they'll be of different colours- even though they're not shiny: it's just individual Pokemon difference.

I saw a "shiny" Caterpie in my Yellow version (it was a different color from all my other Caterpie) and when I transferred it to Stadium...it was yellow!

well I know this guys banned but actually there are shineys in Pokemon Stadium 1.. .they just arn't called that

they are the pokemon iwth diffrent colors... on one website they have what you need to name your pokemon to get the wierd colors in stadium 1

When I put my shiny Meganium on Stadium GS, it looks seriously messed. It's all purple! Eek!

I thought shiny Meganium was pretty. I don't have a pic of my shiny Meganium in Stadium, but it was 1000x better than Bayleef. Trust me, shiny Bayleef is an ugly brick red in Stadium.

I also have a Flying & Surfing Pikachu/Raichu...which I had to cheat to get.

Also, did you know that you can tell a shiny egg from a non-shiny egg (from the same parents) when you look at it in Stadium GS? Shiny eggs are different colours! Here's what I mean:

Just an FYI, the colors of the egg depend on what pokemon you bred. For example, pokemon with YOUR id # that bred will get you a yellow egg. Pokemon you trade with your friends will breed and get you a red egg and in game trades will get you a weird blue egg.

I took some pictures of my G/S/C shiny Pokemon in Pokemon Stadium 2 and made a little banner of them:

You can't tell from the picture, but shiny Togetic has blue and gold triangle patterns instead of blue and red - in R/S/E they seem to have got rid of the gold triangles and just swapped the blue/red patterns around. >_>

I also have a shiny Charizard, Ditto and (of course) Gyarados, which I'll try and get sme pictures of.

I had a Shiny Graveler on Stadium 2, it was orange instead of the usual brown.
I also had a Shiny Clefable (a shiny cleffa I got from the Day Care Couple on Crystal). It has green ears, but otherwise there isn't much difference.

They are still in my game, but I don't currently have a way to download pics from my camera through the USB port (Windows 98).
