Pokemon Ranger Thought
I'm not sure if this belongs here, but
I think NOA is going to wait until Pokemon Ranger comes out here in the US, to send out a disc in which you can download Celebi. The reason I think this is because Pokemon Ranger might involve Celebi and Celebi hasn't been available legally yet in the US so...

Why would they send out a disc? Surely it'd be a GBA cart, which would be easier?
I'd rather have it in the game, because if a cart came out, it'd have to come out for the UK and Australia too. Both places only got Jirachi because Channel was out before it. Besides, Celebi is linked in with Ranger, so I've got high chances of Celebi in it.

Maybe there'd be a special event where you can download Wonder News regarding Celebi, and you'll be able to catch it in the area left of Lilycove City.

Anyway, catching Celebi in Ranger would be the best!^^

I can see it like channel: you complete the game and a new option appears to download celebi. You just save the game in a pokémon center with an empty slot, insert the cartridge in the NDS, select that option in ranger and wait a few seconds until it's completely downloaded.
Seeing UK instead of Europe or EU everywhere gets annoying with timehave to come out for the UK and Australia too.

Of course you don't catch them, you are a pokemon! (In the game I mean) They join you, and celebi can join you, all 386 are available, check the main site

no. it sems you can just tame them for a limited time (from the celebi episode with a pokemon ranger in it it seems like that)

But seriously, Celebi doesn't HAVE to be catchable, you know. It could just be, you beat the game or something and are asked, "Would you like to transfer Celebi to your Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire/Fire Red/Leaf Green/Emerald game?

How is everyone so convinced that celebi will even be in this game? Perhaps Ranger will just have a selection of pokemon... similar to Pokemon Snap, just some (not all).

Because a recent Anime episode involved both a Ranger and Celebi. Add that to the fact that they STILL owe us Celebi and the DS could very easily add it to the GBA, the concept seems VERY likely.

Nintendo wants money-Fans want Celebi
Nintendo/Game freak knows they can sell big if they include Celebi in the game and if they also add new features to the game. Pokemon, next to Mario, is Nintendo's cash cow they aren't going to pass up an opportunity to gain money.
This way the fans and Nintendo will be happy
