Colosseum or XD which did you prefer?

I prefer XD for 2 reasons: Shadow pokemon have more shadow moves besides shadow rush and the music is just awesome.

Well, you do have jovi follow you some times which i hated because i couldn't get her stuck like i could with the one in Colosseum. Xd was cool. They even had a girl boss.(side boss i guess) The music was so great that i out headphones in my tv and listened while i played. The different variety of pokemon was good but i would have liked to see more johto pokemon but i guess that's not a prob. because of HGSS.

Colo had a better story, it felt cooler, but the pokemon variety was just awful compared to XD.

I loved Colo when it came out, but to this day XD is my all time favorite pokemon game. I think I'm going to start a new game in both tonight after reading this.

I used to have those two games, but colosseum I sold it like 1 month later that I bought it. the first time that I heard about Pokemon XD I tought it was a joke for the XD.
I played XD more time but then I changed it for sonic adventure 2 battle.

I like more Colosseum and I wish I could have it back, the main character is better and the plot too.

I liked XD more, but it might just be because I like playing sequels and seeing everything after like 3-5 years. But also because it is really easy to purify, and because it gives you a choice for starter.

I liked Colosseum better. It was more grown-up (shadow pokemon, older characters), I LOOOOOOOOVED the Under + especially all the game music (best out of any Pokemon game), Mirror B's original debut, have a girl following you that you were best friends with (or whatever it was lol). Oh yeah, and XD felt like a complete copy...it was nice, but it didn't have the same adrenaline rushes vs. bosses and surprises (I NEVER expected the mayor to be evil, but in XD I could immediately tell that secret-boss was evil)
I remember playing 5 minutes of Colosseum in New York City's Pokemon Center the first time I was there, so it was a life-changing experience for me. Maybe that's why, too. The Pokemon Mecca that no longer exists in the US :[

I like both, but I vote for Colosseum. It has some shadow pokemon worth catching like flaffy, the three starters and absol, also a better story plot in my opinion. And I like the Colosseum main character better than the one in XD.

I like both, and would recommend getting both of them if you can.

But in a nutshell, if I had to keep only one of them let's say, I'd keep Colosseum. It had a much more extensive Battle Mode. While XD's VS Mode only had Quick Battle and Group Battle, Colosseum's Battle Mode had both of those as well as the six Colosseum tournaments and Mt. Battle-VS 100. You could test yourself and your Pokemon against the computer more so in Colosseum than in XD.

I'm not gonna lie to you--it's not an easy choice because they're both great games. However, I choose Colosseum mostly because Wes was just one of the coolest characters ever.

That said, I agree wholeheartedly that in XD the special moves of purified Shadow Pokemon were super cool. (Heal Bell on Articuno?! Amazing!) The purifying process was easier in XD (and better). XD also had more Shadow Pokemon, which was good.

But Colosseum had an absolutely great Colosseum Mode.

Although XD had a longer storyline and felt a bit more like the classic Pokemon games, I prefer Coloseum. I'm not sure why. Maybe it's just the atmosphere the game created when I first played it.

XD because Miror B is better in XD than in Colo. And his theme is cooler.

XD has more team choices. XD it is because of that.

Now, if Colloseum had more flippin' shadow Pokemon, it would win. As it is, there's only like 2 Pokemon to use of each type.
