Gender: Male

Hometown: Silver Town, Johto.

Eye color: Black eyes that are observant yet show no caring.

Hair: Ven has spiky black hair that covers his ears completely whilst over his face normally casting shadows across his eyes.

Clothing: Ven wears a baggy black hoddy above a black long sleeved t-shirt. The hoody has a white zip the stands out considerably there is also a faint silver black trip around the sleeves and torso areas. On his bottom half he wears baggy black jeans held up by a black belt which also holds his Pokéballs. On his feet he wears black and white trainers that are half covered by this trousers.

-Additional Info-

Personality: Ven is quiet, generally doing his best to conceal his emotions and stay conversation less, he normally answers questions with one word answers. In battle he is the same, watching the opponent waiting for the opportunity to strike and when he strikes he is merciless. He doesn't really care about love or anything and would rather stay alone. People say he is depressed but he strongly maintains that he is not despite the obvious signs. He rarely smiles and his face will reamain blank through most things trying to stay unfazed by a lot of things. When meeting new people he will maintain everything barely talking but he be cold to them especially if ??? shows them to him, he is overprotective and loves her like a little sister, nothing more.

Likes: Dark Type Pokémon, Being Alone, Thinking, Writing, Reading, Listening to Music, Battling.

Dislikes: Fighting Type Pokémon, Crowded Places, People who Talk to Much, Contests.

History: Ven never knew his parents and his first waking memory is of being beaten up for being quiet and barely talking. After that his history is a depressing one. He was an out cast and didn't fit in anywhere, in school he kept his head down and learned in silence never talking to anyone, barely even acknowledging them. After he first obtained Larvitar he began his Pokémon journey first through Johto where aged 13 he made it into the top 32 before being knocked out. This was when he first met up with ??? who due some circumstances he ended up travelling with. They went to Hoenn next and he made it into the top 16 before being wiped out of the tournament, next was Kanto where it was a Similar story with him being knocked out in the top 8 and then The Johto Battle Frontier and eventually Sinnoh League where he finished in the top four before being knocked out this was three months ago and lately he and ??? have just been travelling around and training, both becoming stronger and now all thats left is for them to find a league.

-Pokemon-

Starter Pokémon: Larvitar-Pupitar-Tyranitar: Larvitar was Ven's Pokémon who he befriended and later caught on his tenth birthday. It started when when the Elder of Silver Town lent him his Bellsprout as he did for all 10 years olds and told him to go and catch a Pokémon. Ven spent hours searching but couldn't find, just as he was about to give up her heard crying and discovered Larvitar being attacked by some Sneasel he knew he couldn't just leave the poor Pokémon so he ordered Bellsprout to use Stun Spore and ran off with Larvitar who had cried as soon as they got to safety. Ven comforted him and eventually asked him if he would like to travel with him and the young Pokemon agreed and the next they day they started on their long journey to Violet City. At first Larvitar was shy but eventually Ven helped him grow and learn to love battles. Larvitar evolved into Pupitar around the time that Ven challenged Jasmine and later evolved a final time towards the end of his travels through the Hoenn Region. As a Tyranitar he is proud of his strength and loves showing off his powers. Normally saved till last in full battles. Ven's Strongest Pokémon

Moves: Dark Pulse, Dragon Dance, Earthquake and Stone Edge

Murkrow-Honchkrow: Ven found Murkrow in Illex Forest when he woke up in the middle of the night and caught Murkrow stealing his food. Ven, Larvitar and Sneasel all gave chase and eventually caught up with him and cornered him Ven then use Larvitar to battle Murkrow and won after a tight battle after this Ven decided to capture it and train him. He is the joker of Ven's team and always plays joke on his master and friends. Evolved after Ven was defeated by Chuck and they found a Dusk Stone, has traveled everywhere with Ven and is his third or second strongest Pokémon.

Moves: Nasty Plot, Dark Pulse, Psychic and Shadow Ball.

Houndoom: Ven was outside Ecrutek where he was attacked by some Houndour whom he defeated, later on they came back in greater numbers and led by a Houndoom who challenged Ven to a one on one battle. The black haired trainer used Larvitar to battle the Fire/Dark Type Pokémon who put up a good fight and despite intimidating Larvitar still lost and was captured by Ven who had the Houndour pack break up and then continued on his way. At first Houndoom refused to obey Ven but after he watched Ven defeat Jasmine and his Rival Rick he began to obey him. Is the lazy member of Ven's team and enjoys lying in the shade and sleeping. Probably one of Ven's strongest six Pokémon.

Moves: Flamethrower, Overheat, Nasty Plot and Dark Pulse.

Corphish-Crawdaunt: Crawdaunt, then a Corphish was the first Pokémon Ven saw when he arrived in Hoenn after the Silver Conferance, he had just been released by his former trainer who had said something about being too weak, Ven went up to the Corphish and challenged him to a battle. So they battled with Ven using Pupitar and eventually Ven captured the Pokémon and set about training him. He evolved in time to help Ven sweep through Flannery and from then on his personality changed he is now the loner of the group and only cares about battling and becoming strong.

Moves: Guillotine, Swords Dance, Surf and Brick Break.

Nuzleaf-Shiftry: Ven met Nuzleaf when he was walking through Petalburg Forest and stumbled upon a Shroomish and Nuzleaf battling. Shroomish was evidently in pain but Nuzleaf kept attacking with False Swipe a Sadistic smile on his face. Not being able to watch this Ven ordered Houndoom to blast him with Flamethrower to stop the attack. Despite being Sadistic Ven saw it was strong and brought it upon himself to train it. The first thing it did when let out of his ball was evolve using the Leaf Stone Ven had in his bag, he became more sadistic and disobedient. After months of training Ven managed to get him to obey him but was unable to clear away his sadistic side. Sadistic and doesn't get on with anyone. One of the strongest six.

Moves: Leaf Storm, Nasty Plot, Dark Pulse and Focus Blast.

Sableye: Ven found and caught Sableye very early on is campaign through Hoenn, when he was walking through Dewford Cave and Sableye played trick on him throughout the whole time Ven was in there. Just as he was about to leave Sableye revealed himself and he and Ven battled with Ven using Honchkrow. The young trainer managed to win and caught himself Sableye who is out of his Pokéball on most occasions as he loves to sit on Ven's shoulder after witnessing a trainer and his Pikachu on TV.

Okay, so I'm just going to do a few last minute revisions to my SU and the thread will be up in an hour or so. I'm sort of following SOS's old Whirl Cup RPG process - the competition won't "officially" start until everyone has posted at least once. I'll explain things more tomorrow, and now that I'm thinking about it, I might post the thread then... so yeah, if you don't see it tonight then check tomorrow during the day and I should have it up ^^

Yeah, attacks are only up to four, as the SU Criteria on the first post says. So anyways, yay! The RPG will start soon! Since I have off on Monday, that is 3 straight days of posting here! I'll have Zach getting on the boat and then timeskip to him getting off the boat to Blackthron City, so then, after that, what should I do? Just have Zach arrive in Blackthron City and stop there?

Lol sorry about that. But you are right, and Stabberz, you need to change those down to four moved per Pokémon. Sorry I didn't catch that ><

Name: Ilyana Miam

Age: 17

Gender: Female

Appearance: Ilyana looks incredibly fragile, with ghostly-pale skin, and a lithe body. She stands at a very modest 5”5, and her tiny body weighs in at a miserable 50 kilograms. Her petite size, combined with the fact that she is very flat-chested, causes strangers to assume that she is only fourteen or fifteen, rather than seventeen. Her limbs are stick-thin, and as such, when she walks, or does anything, she always looks like she's about to keel over. She has a very tired, almost sickly demeanour.

That said, she has a pretty face. The paleness, perfectness of her skin makes her look like a porcelain doll; she's almost false; but her shiny, emerald eyes seem to counteract this. It is this strange contradiction of reality and fiction that makes Ilyana pretty, almost truly beautiful. She wears her light brown hair straight down to the middle of her back, but it is quite greasy and dirty, as she washes it rarely. This also causes quite a bit of frizz, making it quite unkempt.

As for clothing, Ilyana wears a plain mint-green blouse, with a thin, lilac cotton jacket on top of this. Along with this, she wears a matching knee-length skirt, and black tights to go with her pumps. As for accessories, she wears three bracelets on her right arm, one red, one blue, and one white, almost invisible against her skin. She tells time via a watch with a purple strap on her left wrist, and her finally accessory, is a conspicuous opal brooch, pinned to her jacket. This is a family heirloom which she refuses to remove, or even let anyone else touch.

Personality: Despite living in the most industrious city around, Ilyana is one of the laziest people you'll ever meet, preferring to use Magnet Rise to reach her destination, or alternatively, just manipulating people into doing whatever she needs done for her. This is one of her greatest traits... She can manipulate almost anyone into doing what she says. She's extremely good at flirting with boys, and she convinces girls that she's on their side in whatever's troubling them.

WARNING! BAD PUN ALERT!!

Surprisingly, Ilyana will devour almost anything set in front of her, as long as it's remotely edible. Amount is no limit; the girl could clear a buffet table in one sitting, if she could be bothered, and yet, she rarely gains any weight. Some theorise that she has a very large tapeworm living in her intestines, but really, she just has a very high metabolism. Food is not the only thing she devours though; Ilyana has a voracious appetite for books, both classics and modern fiction, including “To kill a Chatot”, “Of Pikachu and Men”, and her personal favourite, “Larry Topper, and the Order of the Ho-Oh”.

So, from all this, we gather that she is quite an intelligent young woman. She isn't a particularly nice character, but nor is she a complete cow. She can manipulate people, but she only does it for her own gain, not to turn them against each other, and she certainly doesn't manipulate people into doing wrong. As flirtatious as she is, she has no interest in having a boyfriend, and doesn't really have much of a social life at all. In fact, virtually all she does all day is stay in the house, lie on the couch, and read. It's a very sheltered existence...

Her choice of Pokemon is the Electric type, ironic for someone so lazy, but she enjoys watching them move around at blistering speeds, hence Crobat also being part of her team. Plus, they can provide light for her when her reading lamp's bulb burns out.

History: In West Saffron, born and raised- *brick* I'm sorry, I can almost never resist doing that.

Seriously, Ilyana was born in Saffron City, Kanto. Both of her parents worked at Silph Co., but her mother decided to leave, in order to look after the new baby. The President gave her father a raise, to compensate for this. It wasn't favouritism; just company policy. Anything to keep the union happy. And all was good. When Ilyana started school, though, her work was distinctly average, due to the fact that she was too lazy to do more than necessary. Worried about this, her father hired a tutor, just in case the problem did lie in her intelligence... It was a waste of money. However, the tutor made a suggestion: Give her incentives to work harder. And so, he came up with a plan. Every time Ilyana got an A on her test or homework, he would expand her library. Most Saffron parents had agreements like this, and, like the rest of them, it worked well.

However, Ilyana's parents later became concerned for her health... The girl never went out, and avoided exercise as much as she could. On the suggestion of a friend, they gave her a Pokemon egg, hoping that she would have a desire to train it once it hatched, and get outside while doing so... What they did not expect was for the resulting Elekid to train her! The little Pokemon continuously shocked Ilyana for about a week after the hatching to try and get her outside for training. As Elekid matured, however, she settled for just a couple of hours on Saturdays, and llyana eventually became a relatively competent trainer. Manectric and Electrode were soon added to her repertoire, as was Crobat, and lo, Electabuzz saw that it was good.

And now, the tournament. I know what you're thinking, “Ilyana doesn't sound like the kind of person to enter it,” right? Right, she's not. But, ironically, she was manipulated by Electabuzz and Manectric, who constantly moped around, and occasionally shocked Ilyana until she finally agreed to send in a form... Which, much to her surprise, was accepted. Now, she makes for Blackthorn...

The grey clouds were a common sight in Linten... The many factories released a great deal of smoke into the air. It had been this way so long, people began to confuse the clouds and the smoke, as they became interlocked, yet still somehow beautiful, and artistic in a way. The sky wasn't what Ilyana focussed on though. No, she watched the man “driving” the Yenton, which was taking her home. He flapped his arms chaotically, and it made for an amusing sight... It was potentially very dangerous, as he could easily lose concentration, killing the pair instantly, but the teenager didn't exactly give a damn about that. It had been a long day at school, and the waiting for the lunch period in particular had been unbearable... It was a foolish man who stood between Ilyana Miam, and her next meal.

Finally, home in time for dinner. As usual, the second she got home, Ilyana used Magnet Rise to get herself upstairs, stripped off the hideous, grey plaid school uniform, and showered, letting the hot water rinse her tiredness away. Pulling on her usual outfit, her stomach began to rumble. I get it, I'm hungry again...

“Good evening, mother,” she said, kissing the red-headed woman on the cheek as they sat down to dinner. A decent-sized steak, with a fresh garden salad.

“How was school?”

No answer. Ilyana wasn't much for talking during meals. That didn't stop her mother trying, though. After a few more attempts to coax an answer to this simple question out of her daughter, Rebecca Miam gave up and sighed. Another meal in silence...

Later that evening, Ilyana was, as per usual, alone in her room. Comfortable in her swivel-chair, she was deep in the heart of “To kill a Chatot”. Subconsciously, she fingered the brooch on her lapel. According to her mother, it had been passed down through her father's family, though she knew nothing of them. Her grandparents had passed before her birth, and she recalled nothing of her father. [I[Joshua Miam... What a peculiar man he must have been.[/I] She briefly set down the book, to ponder the man. According to the photograph of her parents' wedding day, he had been relatively handsome, with shiny blue eyes, and soft brown hair. This, combined with the fact that he “gave his life to ensure our future”, was all she had to go on. She had no idea what this even meant. He gave his life? How? How did it ensure their future? Any time the teen asked her mother, she became silent.

Such thoughts of her father quickly passed when Ilyana was truly engrossed in a book, and she was just getting to the trial scenes in “To kill a Chatot”. She picked it up, found her place, and was found the next morning still in her chair, sleeping peacefully, book draped on her lap.

Species: Electabuzz
Gender: Female
Personality: Almost like Ilyana's nanny, Electabuzz is both powerful and gentle at times. Ilyana's battling skill is entirely down to her – Electabuzz is rather like a drill sergeant, taking Ilyana's Pokemon out for an hour each day for training, and ensuring Ilyana herself gets battling practise for at least two hours on Saturday. As much as she loves her trainer, she will shock her if necessary, to ensure that she can use her Pokemon to their full potential.
History: Ilyana's first Pokemon, Electabuzz is a hatched Pokemon, since, obviously, she was too lazy to go out and actually CATCH an Elekid. Despite the fact that she has very little room to roam in the Miams' garden, she is content enough, especially when she is training her battle comrades. Given to Ilyana when she was fifteen (as an egg), the two have forged a strong bond over the years. She evolved shortly before Crobat's (as a Zubat) capture.
Attacks: FALCON- *brick* ... ThunderPunch, Light Screen, Quick Attack, Ice Punch.

Species: Electrode
Gender: Neither (referred to as male, and acts that way)
Personality: Electrode and Manectric are like brothers, having similar attitudes, origins, and share a common battle strategy – wear the opponent down with speed. The main difference between the two is that Electrode is a complete coward. If he feels at all scared, he'll either roll for the hills, or go boom. And he goes boom a lot...
History: Several years ago, the Kanto Power Plant suffered an infestation of Electric-type Pokemon, and the Silph Co. was asked to deal with it... They really do have a department for everything. At the time, they were conducting research, and wondering if the power from Electric-types could be used to power their own building. Electrode and Manectric were two of the Pokemon who were “escorted” from the Plant, and though Silph's experiment failed (the energy could not be controlled), they decided it would be a bad idea to release so many Pokemon into the wild at once. As such, many employees ended up taking two or three home with them as their Christmas bonus. Joshua Miam, Ilyana's father, ended up with Manetric and Electrode, as they didn't seem to want to be separated. He gave them both to his daughter, knowing she liked Electric-types.
Attacks: Spark, Magnet Rise, Light Screen, Explosion

Species: Manectric
Gender: Male
Personality: Rarely seen without his partner in crime, Electrode, Manectric is much more courageous than the “Ball O' Doom”, though some of Crobat's more inventive jokes will have him ducking for cover too. He and his “brother” appreciate the simpler things in life, such as sniffing the flowers, and tanning in the sunshine.
History: You can pretty much copy and paste what I said for Electrode, and put it here... Those two have been together all their lives.
Attacks: Thunderbolt, Quick Attack, Hyper Beam (YAH I WENT DERE!) , Thunder Wave

Species: Crobat
Gender: Female
Personality: Crobat is the party's resident jokester, constantly finding inventive ways to scare the living daylights out of Electrode and Manectric (she doesn't DARE mess with Electabuzz), while having a generally light-hearted attitude to life. She's pretty happy-go-lucky, and, as you might expect, enjoys high places, commonly roosting in the tree in the Miams' garden. She's highly protective of that spot, incidentally.
History: Ilyana's most recent capture, and the only one she actually made. While walking home from school on a dark winter's evening, after a detention (which she got for not doing homework, natch), Ilyana was startled by a screech from above. She quickly released Electabuzz for protection, who used Light Screen to reflect the light from a street lamp, creating a makeshift torch. Out of the darkness, burst a small blue bat. Startled, Electabuzz FALCON PUUUUUNCHED the creature, instantly KO'ing it, and Ilyana, realising it was actually a Zubat, captured it with a Pokeball. She nursed the poor thing, which had been badly injured, and kept it on the team, as the two became attached. As it was a relatively high-level Zubat (20-21), it evolved to Golbat quickly, and as their bond became stronger, she finally evolved to a magnificent Crobat.
Attacks: Brave Bird, Roost, Taunt, Cross Poison
