Nice, I like this point system, I can't say I've never recieved an infraction but its great to see a new, more organised system, everyone better regularly read the rules. . .

edit: also a question to ask, would pming a mod to check where a thread you are about to start goes be counted as unsolicited pms?

Nah, asking for mod approval on a thread wouldn't count. It's more for chain PMs, and random spamming.

Cross dressing is just weird. It has nothing to do with gay-rights at all. If you cross-dress then you have gender issues or you're retarded, and that isn't even a solution for either in any case.

Nothing against the infraction system. Just it's mindless abuse.

Yes, because that post clearly was worthy of the Debate forum and doesn't bash people.

...it's the debate forum. Why do you keep it if opinionated posts trigger infractions? Don't answer it; you wouldn't know. You don't go there enough to see the daily dose of Obama and Bible-banger bashing. Leave the jurisdiction in that section to Babylon. He has more experience posting in it to know how far the line goes.

Wow. Took a look at that post ^^^ in context and it made perfect sense to me (though I disagree with it) and wasn't any worse than many of the other posts there. Guess they can infract you for anything nowadays.

Better watch out! =0

Maybe it would help if the terms "spam" and "troll" and whatnot were defined ON THE OP. But I guess that would take all the fun away from randomly infracting people.

Wow. While you seem to have been clicking refresh all day on this page dying for me to respond, I have not.

Explain to me how that post actually contributes to a debate since all it says is "cross dressing is weird and means youre retarded"

??? I've been watching movies all morning with my daughter...??? Tinkerbell and Harold and the Purple Crayon. What have you been doing??? o_o

Thread Title: "Why is Crossdressing so looked down upon"
Reply: 1) It appears weird to lots of people 2) It often falsely tied with gay rights 3) People who do it seem to have gender issues or a mental handicap.

The Original poster asked a question, and this poster gave a response. Unfortunately though, you have the right to infract people when you disagree with them, or just if you feel like it. If there was a concrete definition in the OP, you wouldn't have that freedom now would you? This kind of abuse of power seems common here.

Saying people who cross-dress are "retarded" is outright flaming of a group of people. Flaming is against the rules, as stated in the main SPPf rules and several other places on the forum. That has nothing to do with personal opinions or anything like that, plus the post contributed absolutely nothing to the debate. The post wasn't constructive, bringing up an interesting point, furthering the debate, or anything.

Also I laugh at how you're telling an admin to leave the punishing up to a mod. That's not the way it works here. Shining Mew has been here way longer than Ethan and knows the rules of everywhere very well, so you really shouldn't be acting like that (that's not meant as an insult to Ethan, he's a good friend of mine and probably would have infracted you the same anyway :B ).

But regardless, this thread isn't for whining about infractions you got that you feel are unfair. PM whoever gave it to you next time.

I guess this thread isn't for making suggestions either. Could anyone kindly direct me to where you would post such suggestions, or would they just get deleted regardless of where I post them?

Now this discussion is over. Any future complaints about infractions go to the staff member who sent them, and then to a staff member of a higher rank.

No, you obviously didn't bother to read what I said. Let me tl;dr it and format it so even you can understand:

Shining Mew. WOULD NOT. reply to my PM. Read on.

When I think you're in the wrong and you have too muvh of a life to even attempt to settle it personally, it's justifiable for me to make it public. Yeah, the infraction and delete button is handy if you don't want to face up to what crap you pull. I'm persistent; you've made a mistake. I'm giving you an easy way to get yourself off the hook. Don't be a hypocrite and cross your own line.

Now, would you like me to repost my message or will you?

poke poke, how about you read what you yourself wrote?

Lesse.

Calling someone retarded for wearing clothes that aren't specifically made for their gender, isn't only rude, it's down right flaming/trolling. You also seem to claim to be an expert on it, and make it out that all people who cross-dress have gender issues.

That would also include Transvestites and omg people like me who are TOMBOYS. Aka I DISLIKE girly clothes and run around in shirts, shorts and jeans that aren't made or directed for the sale of women. So obviously I am now 'Retarded' or 'Gender Confused' in your eyes too?

Maybe before you get into a raging rant over how mods abused their power on you, you actually take the time to realize that perhaps you were the one to go overboard, because frankly, I'd have infracted you for the very same thing.

Crying and Whining that another mod wouldn't have given you an infraction for such a trolling comment, is NO excuse.

No, shut up. The discussion is done unless you want a week ban.

Carry on folks, sorry to disrupt =)
