I recently picked up my Emerald game and started playing again. This time around I focused more on the Pokemon I thought were cool, not focusing on the strength of them. It's pretty fun.. (nuzleaf and skitty ftw).

I don't play Ruby and Sapphire much anymore but I do still play Emerald a bit. Like many people have pointed out already, Hoenn's BF is way better than Sinnoh's. I also like how both Team Aqua and Magma are evil in the game, not to mention the Double Battle with Steven.

Well, I don't really play RSE too often, but I replay my Firered game all the time due to my undying love of Kanto and the original 150 pokemon. Woot.

As for me, I play to get Pokemon I can't get in DP, breed for Pokemon with good IV's if they need tutor moves in their moveset, and to be able to have a fresh start and a new adventure when I restart them, since I can't really restart my DP x;
Battle fronteir-Battle Tower (Trying to get the ribbons [it's tough]) =P

P.s. I like your avatar(:

I refuse to leave Emerald because the 3D graphics are a little too cute and shunshiny in DPPt. Also both Frontiers are equally fun so I can't leave. Plus I steal heaps of pokemon from Hoenn and smuggle them to Sinnoh. Plus their are some Poke's I like who do better in G3 than G4 (like Houndoom with a special Crunch and Pursuit in Hoenn) Also Pearl wasn't that good, but I really likes teh Platinum.

What keeps me playing Emerald is things like the Abandoned ship, Winona's gym battle, Battle Frontier (Tucker!), cathing the Regis, exploring the underwater via dive etc.
And oh! Let's not forget about the Trick master haha.

I admit, I love and adore the 3rd generation, no matter what people say. Childhood nostalgia has something to do with it, but the fact that it's difficulty and tediousness against my stubbornness at some part is fun, too.

Also I like the 3rd generation pokémon.
I like the plot as well.

I love the 3rd generation, because of that i'm playing the Emerald version.

And the BF in Kanto is better, much more that the others.

I actually play all games. I like Emerald though. I still play Red version every once in a while.

Battle Frontier <3 Totally awesome, as I don't have Platinum. Also that I have access to other Emerald and FRLG, I just keep on trading and breeding etc..

i play LG because i need the 1 gen pokemons for my Diamond game :P

I really like the Hoenn region, and a lot of my favorite pokemon are from the 3rd gen. Emerald is one of my all-time favorite games. The Battle Frontier was pretty epic as well.

BEcause I don't want to catch all those pokemon. And I love the gen I storyline.
Because catching 151 pokemon was a task
251 was a challenge
386 at this point in my life? impossible.
493? FFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU! -.-

Honestly (and I'm sure someone might flame me for this) HATE nearly EVERY single pokemon made after gen II. The origional 151 were perfect, they just had this feeling to them that made pokemon new and exciting, something professional about them, just realistic enough to connect with yet different enough to be interesting. Gen II pokemon? Increased the challenge, and while most of them didn't give me that same magical feeling, very many of them had similar qualities, being realistic or different. It was also "hey more pokemon let's go catch more!" which kinda made it exciting. Gen III pokemon to me though came off as largely just "oh god we need more pokemon any ideas? *mixes blobs and shapes together* there!" though some like poochyena were fine by me. Gen IV? I barely know any of them, pokemon is nearly unrecognizable from what I'm used to as a game and i feel little to no need at all to familiarize myself with them. No connection at all. Honestly I will probably pick up D/P sometime and start playing and just like R/E/S I will be sooo completely unhappy with not finding any of the pokemon I so deeply love that I will play the game just to finish it and nothing more.

I'm a traditionalist. Sorry -.- When I heard they were making FireRed I was a VERY happy person XD
