Out of curiosity:

You make a new account if you get banned, to get around the ban.
Does that count if you get permabanned?

Another ban related question:

Is your account disabled if you get banned? Because I've seen members on the online list that have their username crossed out, like what happens with banned members. I'm wondering how they get online of they're banned.

^ They check the IP (email adress kind of thing), and if there's 2 identical, both accounts get banned. If you used different email adresses and such, then I don't know.

Mods only check IP's if they suspect someone of multi-accounting, which is when they see things like this:

2 members are never online at the same time
these 2 members seem to have a similar personality
these 2 members seem to post similar things in the same forums

and things like that.

No. Every computer has a different IP address. Not e-mail.

Each computer doesn't have it's own IP. IPs are for internet connections, so if you have 4 computers on one connection, they'll all have the same IP (as far as being on the internet goes).

Ok i know this isnt exactly the right place to post this and all but as you can probobaly notice i am new here :S. I MAINLY made an acc on the serebii forums to try to get a hold of Lotus or Dialgamaster from youtube. You can honestly think he is dead because he hasnt uploaded in a LONG time and i tried emailing him, doesnt work... I went on pokecentral and no1 ever herd of him and he wasnt gone a long time ago then, and im talking about like 8months ago. I know for a fact that he also had an account on the serebii forums but since im new i cant figure out how to pm, or if his account still exists, or ih he will reply XD. Could someone please help me find him :S

lol, I should probably know this by now, but do you need 20 Active points to get banned for a week, or 20 points accumulated over your entire time at Serebii, i.e. 10 points 6 months ago and 10 points now?

I don't understand bumping infractions. Do you get an infraction for posting a message that has no serious contribution to the topic or just suggesting to others to post in a certain thread in an entirely different thread?

Bumping threads?
1. Bumping threads is where you post in a topic that has not had any replies in the last 30 days.
OR
2. You make a post that has NO OTHER PURPOSE other than to "bump" a thread to the first page.
If you still don't get it, then PM a mod, or wait until a mod appears in this thread, which will be a while.

Excuse me, is there also a maximum amount of time between action and infraction. As an example, I just got a infraction from last November.

^ I don't think there is a maximum time. If a mod sees a rule breaking post and the user haven't been infracted for it yet, then they will infract you for it.

That's how it goes I think.

In general there are very few infractions for posts that old since there's not much point in it: Either you're still breaking similar rules now - in which case you'd be infracted for THAT - or you don't have a history of rule-breaking, so there wouldn't be anything to learn from being punished for a several-month-old screwup. That said, it's always possible that the mod who sees a rule-breaking post will decide to infract you for it no matter how old the post is. What's the easiest way to avoid old posts coming back to haunt you? It's not breaking the rules in the first place!

Depends on where you post it, really. Stuff like **** and **** gets censored, but there's a way to bypass the censor (not telling, but you should be able to figure it out ).

Then again, there really is no need to swear.
