Iiiinteresting! I guess the bootleggers made the figures as soon as they saw that picture? And maybe that's why the third gen counterfeits look so hideous - they made them WAY too quickly without getting decent pictures of the Pokemon first. *ponders*

I have a lot of bootleg Pokémon items:

- hollow figurines made of cheap plastic

- other badly painted figurines like this Mew

- a Pokemon fan featuring Pikachu, Clefairy, and an off-colored Meowth

- bad quality stickers of Pokemon only in ugly brown-red and dark yellow colors

- Pokemon Go! Go! A hacked Gameboy color game. It's my cousin's, but I actually had fun playing it when she showed it to me. xD The little Pikachu character is so cute! And look, it can go in a bubble! 8D

- Pokemon Emerald, the gibberish version. It's most likely a hacked Japonese Emerald... Linoone is now named "Brat" and Sceptile is "Ofrog". Lax Incense and Sea Incense are "AirThing" and "DamThing". The characters speak like idiots: "The hot spring is so good and i want to take my MONs here", and "it is really lovely! let your MONs learn to mock? I really want to teach you to mock!". I was able to play through the whole game, but I can't trade with any other games and it glitches up when I try to go to the Battle Frontier.

The most hideous bootleg Pokemon product I've encountered? A light-pink sweater covered in cheek-less "magician" Pikachu and green flame-less Charmander! I can't provide a picture-- I haven't seen this sweater in years. It still burns in my memory though. x.x I was 9 years old when I got it, and when I wore it to school people said it was cool. x)

I've played a ROM version of the hacked/translated Diamond thing. Yeah, as mentioned before, it's just a badly translated game that has nothing to do with Pokemon. It's pretty awesome for Engrish fans though.

Well, the weirdest bootleg Pokemon product I've ever seen was a game on ebay called "Pokemon Chaos Black." It had a picture of Chaos (from Sonic the Hedgehog o_O) on the front of it. You could tell from the box it was bootleg. =P I'll try and find the picture of it again..
