WishPassing is great late game when you want to heal a switched out poke, it can turn things around if you can bring in a counter and heal it back up to match ^^ Subs on him would be useful however its not 100% nessacary

Ever heard of dry baton passing? Especially with Duggy on a team and a something slow as Vappy he can pull it off. It works, trust me, and im a huge fan of it, especially SpecsJolt [but thats another matter].

On a more serious note thats a perfect suggestion if you need a filler move.

Imo I wouldn't wanna run a Vappy without Ice Beam though, so i'd make a choice between Protect and BP.

It would probably be wise to go with Ice Beam, Vappy is known to be able to counter Chomp fairly well, probably Ice Beam > Protect, however you do lose its ability to recover reliably for itself

Bold: 188 HP, 252 Def , 68 S. Atk

^ It's standard spread, w/ enough EVs to take Chomps EQs and OHKO w/ Ice Beam, Bold as well plz

I'm going to try Ice Beam over Protect because I can always get the tm for Protect later on. My batch of Eevee's all have Wish/Shadowball/Substitute so the rest is relatively easy. I'm just going to have to get another bold one.

Here is my problem with the EV spread. I do not IV breed at all so there may be an issue with the SP.ATK area. I know that 266 SPATK(68 EV's) is required to beat most Chomps, but doesn't that rely on a perfect SPATK IV?

The EVs are assuming a perfect IV yes. Invest extra EVs if you're just shy, but unless you really care about it its not a big deal. Then again, you'll curse if you face a Chomp that survives with 1 or 2 hp

Well, the problem is that the lack of IV's will most likely disable any chance of a OHKO on Chomp leaving Cresselia to be a better counter. Thats why I currently have Vaporeon as Modest, to jump the hurtle to over 266. I can still max out the defence but then he may not be able to take as many hits. In the end, I definitely do not care about IV breeding(I get what I get) but I do want to make a successful, competitive team.

Umm can't you just switch out to that pokemon after the wish? Since you might be slow for the baton pass.

If you simply switched out after the Wish, the poke that you switched in would take a hit before the Wish came true. If you dry baton pass it, Vaporeon takes the hit, and, in this case, Dugtrio gets a free HP boost and a revenge kill.

EDIT: Does this make up for Cressy being Modest: 30/30/0/6/26/18. The defense is horrible but the HP and SPDEF are pretty good. I would just like to use this one if possible. I can always soft-reset on my Pearl game though.

Very poor special attack + def = poor. It's a shame that 30 in attack can't be moved or that'd be good. Since it isn't modest i'd swap it.

If you're one not to care about IVs too much, its relativly simple to breed one 31, or at least make it so they're not crap. Can do it in a couple of hours quite comfortably.

Ok, I'll keep soft-resetting on my Pearl game then. I know that its simple to breed pokes with 31 IV's in a certain stat but you need the proper dittos to do it with. I figured that, even though people with those kinds of dittos clone, they still wouldn't really be to willing to trade them away. I could go through all of that but since I already have a good portion of the pokes I'm going to use, I'm going to at least get Porygon2 and possibly Ninetales ev'd today.

On the other hand, I'm going to update the team thread with a threat list.

If it's at all possible, you should probably evolve P2 to PZ. It significantly boosts his Sp. Atk and Speed.

Here are Porygon2's Base Stats:
HP: 85
ATK: 80
DEF: 90
SPATK: 105
SPDEF: 95
SPD: 60
As you can see, with the proper EV's, P2 is able to take some big hits. Thunderwave lets it outspeed most Pokes and its 105 base SPATK allows it to OHKO the dragons and gyara. All-in-all, its a nice little package that I have no intentions of changing although one could argue that this team is slightly offensively lacking.

Meh. Just saying, 135 Sp. Atk would give you a more reliable OHKO. ;P

If you're staying with P2 for looks or something, though, I would. PZ scares me.

lol, consider it a combination of the two. The main point behind P2 is that he is an anti-starter which is pretty fun overall. Ninetales sort of fills the P-Z role on this team as far as Nasty Plot sweeping goes anyway.

BTW, if anyone wants to help me with breeding, I'm willing to trade a tokyo electivire for Bold and Jolly dittos with good IV's

The advantage of Baton Pass over just switching is that Vappy takes the hit rather than the pokemon switching in..

I finally got a Bold Cresselia. The EV's are just well, average. The HP sucks but the SPDEF is 30 and the DEF is 20ish so I'm going to use it.
