Okay now this a real gym battle, glad Buizel is taking a break.

I wonder if she has Snover or some other Pokemon, if she has Froslass that means she has DP/ Platinum combo, which may mean Volkner has a combination as well.

So I guess Gliscor is knocked out by Sneasel or Ash recalled it or it was a tie.

Either way this is looking like a good gym battle. I hope Staraptor takes the win, but I won't be disappointed if it doesn't.

Excellence! I was a bit dissapointed that they were only gonna have the battle as a 3 on 3. Cheers for this. Any news on who Candice's fourth is gonna be? It'll probably be Snover, but I hope they replace it with Frosslass or Glaceon, just to spice her team up a bit.

Woo, straight into a Gym Battle! And Ash has some real cojones to be using Gliscor in an Ice-type Gym. That's just awesome. 4 on 4 should be pretty neat.

So that's the 14th... so it looks like I'll be watching the 21st like a hawk for future developments on the... other Snowpoint business. It's great to finally have a semblance of an idea of when that was going to start.

May 14th? Maybe Chimchar has decent chance of evolving a few weeks before the movie unlike Gligar's evolution and Swinub's capture, last year.

Great, I'm looking forward to Grotle and Staraptor battling. Gliscor is my favourite Pokémon of Ash's current party anyway, but Chimchar has too much battle screentime, the 3rd gym in a row...

However, the more he's used, the closer he'll be to evolving. I think this is my favourite line up for any of Ash's gym battles so far.

awesome. can't wait for this battle. hopefully we get even more Chimmy development, so his evolution can arrive soon. also hope that Gliscor gets some time to shine (even though it won against Byron, it feels like it's vanished since that battle). also it will maybe even cement Ash using Gliscor in more and more major battles. sweet. I wonder what Candice's gym will look like.

I'm hoping Chimchar gets beaten easily here like Buizel in the last gym, Grotle and Gliscor take down one pokemon each and Staraptor takes down two, one of which is Candice's main pokemon.

Gliscor being used in the last 3 gyms would be nice. Chimchar had 6 major wins in a row, 1 against Paul, 1 against Barry, 2 against Fantina and 2 against Byron. It should get a break here and then get a win at Volkner's gym as a Monferno.


I'm guessing Volkner's gym will be 4-on-4 too, Pikachu, Grotle, Monferno and Gliscor is his likely team there. Of course, they're not sticking to type advantages with this gym so Staraptor or Buizel may squeeze their way into the Sunnyshore gym battle.

I think the 4th pokemon is Snover,but why they did not show him in the clip episode?

chimi should lose but do some damage on abamasnow , so it can train later.
and I guess that the 4th pokemon is either mamo or froslass .
froslass being a unique type combo for this gen.
and mamo so that candice can teach dawn how to use him properly

I think it can't be Froslss or Mamoswine,because the Gym leader's pokemon is only from DP,not from Platinum.But who knows,if they will have a Platinum clothes,so everything can be.

I don't see the point of her using snover and abomasnow, she should use a froslass or glaceon for a bit of balance. As for gliscor he's probably only using him because of fire fang.

I think she'll stick to using Snover. As dissapointingly redundant as it may be to use members of the same evolutionary line in one fight, it's bound to have different attacks from Abomasnow in order to prevent the fight from being too samey. Granted, that's not much of a consolation, but it's a consolation all the same.

I'm glad they're not letting type disadvantages and such limit their choices for this match. Gliscor being here has definately put a smile on my face, as I didn't expect him to get any coverage until the final gym. If he can do considerably well in both, I'll be quite satisfied.
And while he may be no longer be the BIRD we al-....half of-...a selcect fe-...a handful of us loved, Muku taking part is great too. He hasn't had a gym win in forever, and this is essentially his last chance at placing his talons in the squishy cement of stardom. If Chimchar goes down in the final round and allows the hawk to prey on evergreen, that'd be swell.

Candice's team may be like this:

Abomasnow
Sneasel
Medicham
Froslass

Gliscor going first against Sneasel,it gets defeated then Ash calls Grotle who defeats it & then Medicham comes to play & easiliy beats Grotle with Fire Punch.Staraptor is chosen & beats Medicham & then Abomasnow is called by Candice.Staraptor is recalled & Chimchar is chosen.Surprisingly...Chimchar gets overwhelmed & Ash remains with only Staraptor.After a though fight,Staraptor beats Abomasnow but gets easily defeated by Froslass...being so tired it's not a match for Froslass's superior speed.
& Ash loses this gym battle.
In the rematch he comes back with a Monferno^__^
