Default DP156 - Gible II

12/17 "Gible and Draco Meteor!!"

Quick Translation:

Old lady Tatsu. She teaches "Draco Meteor" move to Dragon-type Pokemon.
After learning how to teach the move from her, Satoshi decides to do special training with wild Gible that wishes to learn Draco Meteor.

Nice. Now I think there is no doubt Ash will get Gible. He will probably fail to learn the attack and will stay with Ash in order to get stronger. Even if Gible learns Draco Meteor, I highly doubt it is going to evolve with a such powerful attack.

And I also think Staraptor is getting OAKED considering the fact it has no use in the upcoming gym awhile Glicor and Buizel are staying with their new attacks.

Well, who knows?

Gible may will leave once it learns Draco Metor.
It can be DP version of Larvitar...

We will have to wait and see.

Could be, but come on. What normal trainer would help a Gible to teach Draco Meteor and then let it go.

Oh yeah...Ash would.

It's also possible that this is the episode the clip was from, and Barry shows up, and Ash convinces him to help Gible, and so it and Empoleon end up sparring. They can't quite get it to learn it, then Team Rocket shows up and in some way or another (actually trying to steal it, and it learning it through the struggle, or them feeling for it and actually helping) end up getting it to learn it. Then Ash and co leave it behind and wave goodbye to it.

If the Gible v Empoleon clip is actually from this episode, it could also be that Jun actually is the one who gets it to learn it, and it ends up going with him. Who knows. But for now, due to the Gible figure, I'm leaning towards Satoshi getting it, but I'm hoping that's not the case, since I don't want him to actually have to switch out a member of his team. We'll see, I suppose.

Very good point

And I see Candy-Musalina was right about the title 2 days ago.

Si it's possible Gible wants to follow Satoshi after the training. Remember how much Pokemon want to do this just because they are indebted to Satoshi for something.

Oh I know. I'm not too pleased with Ash and Gible but I'd hate for them to get close then have Gible remain wild.

Maybe it was closed because they didn't source it? Sourcing is always good.

I'm glad we'll get to see more of Gible.

I didn't know that Gible can learn Draco Meteor. i thought only a Garchomp can learn it.

No Pokemon can learn Draco Meteor naturally. It can be thought by the old to any dragon type Pokemon if it has enough happiness. And guessing by the attack conditions, Ash will befriend this Gible, so it could learn Draco Meteor sometime later in the future.

Gible will at least stick around for a few episodes the way Larvitar did. Bandai said Ash "gets" Gible by the end of the year. Meeting a wild Gible and waving goodbye to it at the end of the episode isn't really "getting" one.

Whether Ash says goodbye to it after a couple of episodes (after it learns draco meteor) or it ends up joining Ash's team is something no one can say for sure until the episode airs. Although, considering Ash has to train his own pokemon after that pitiful loss to Paul rather then spending multiple episodes worrying about a pokemon that isn't even his. It'd be increadily stupid of him.

I guess this confirms that if Ash gets a Gible it WON'T be Kazunari's. Good, the moveset was awful. Since, unlike Larvitar, Ash is actually using it in a battle against Barry I'm leaning towards Ash getting the Gible at the end of the episode.

If Ash really does get Gible then the writers are really packing on the moves for Ash's pokemon. Three pokemon learning new moves within 10 episodes.

Thanks for the info Pk0082.

Also, does any one else see the other move tutor teaching Ash's Monferno blast burn once it evolves?

Oh ok then.

But Draco Meteor is something I'd imagine Salamence and Garchomp using.

Cynthia's Garchomp already used draco meteor. I'm going to guess that Gible's will be more like Dalga's from Movie 10 though. A portal opening up in Gible's mouth and many firey meteors blasting out. So it'll look somewhat like bullet seed.

It will be great to see how Gible will devolp his personality, it's actualy continuity for Larvitar. who knows how can it end, maybe in a Garchomp that defeating the elite four... But it's far from now.

Lol, I'd love to see Ash face Cynthia's Garchomp with his Gible/Gabite. It would be awesome.

Anyway, on the topic I expect Barry to show up with his Empoleon and show us a new Pokemon. The battle would also be a great training for the little Gible.

I still think Gible is the DP Larvitar. I had my mind made up when the first rumours about Gible came up. Why? First off, does anyone over here really see Ash with a Garchomp? Specially if Cynthia has one? Second, DP is repeating some plots of earlier seasons cos as time progresses, Pokemon gets new audiences who most probably werent even born at the time the Kanto saga ended.

If I'm wrong, then the saying "Anything can happen in DP" is officially legimate.

Sigh, at least it's not a win for Auraholics.

Gible has a certain charm as it would be Ash's first Dragon type.

Yes I hope for this too, it will be good if Gliscor won't leave for this Gible.
But the problem is that the toys site said- at the end of the year, Gible will to join Ash's team. So I don't understand how. Maybe it will be always out of it's pokeball..
